To brew a beer you use base malts for your fermentable sugars and specialty malts for flavour, body and colour! The more base malt you use the more fermentable sugars you get and potentially the higher ABV! 🇮🇪
Hi Daragh got sent a past you did from Birmingham re Lamp Tavern. Just to let you know ‘one pour Eddie’ passed on to the great bar in the sky during the week. Enjoy your videos keep it up.
Really enjoy Imp Stouts but that higher abv limits your intake. Definitely taste the higher alcohol content too. Stay with the Porters mostly with their 4-5% and plenty of complexity. Looked like great craic.
Best to just get 1/3 measures of Impy Stouts. High abv so treat it like wine otherwise you’ll be licking your next drink out of a puddle of your own making😂
Now that looked like a great day out. I’m a proper light weight so the 13 % stout would have made me definitely wobbbbllllyyyyyyyy 🤪great vid as always cheers 👍🍻
what a coincidence. i had an imperial stout 13% on Friday as well. the start was a bit tough but when i went on it got better, creamier with more aroma. maybe i would have wanted it a bit less cold. But Daragh, your videos make me want to come to Ireland even more. Cheers from south of Italy. Near the Chaplin´s Irish Bar in Sorrento
Im incredibly proud to be irish and i love our history, our culture and our unique spin on things, but there is this undeniable ignorance and absolute refusal to acknowledge anything that is a little different from how we would normally approach things. And that is no more so evident than our attitude to beer
Great to see you enjoying the craft side of beer mate 🍻
Its actually important to have one of ireland's beer celebrities showcasing what irish craft brewers are doing
Not exactly sure if it's what the fella said, but basically they just use a lot more malt to up the abv

Thanks for assisting Mulligans in Manchester to put a pint up to £7.30
Its a cracking pint, but NOT at that price 😮
imperial stouts are deffo higher ABV. Like you said it's more a sipper rather than a quaffer.
Love an impy !!
3rd pints of that type all night long not that size pour !
You'll enjoy more if u do
They have a lot of flavour which is great.

Daragh - where’s the video you did with the Cowboy in the big shmoke gone?
Daragh, what’s the vans jacket called? Seen it in a few videos, trying to find it online. Thanks in advance
Your stout Black 16 was not Wicklow Wolf it was the Wicklow Brewery, different place.
You try Dublin live whiskey festival
I'd say that would be my idea of hell, it reminds me of the Big Grill in Herbert Park.
But always great to have new DC content 😅
When are you going to Turkey for the hair?
😂😂😂😮

En vaso de plástico....🤮🤮
4.3% Wicklow Wolf stout 7 euro...WTF rip off Ireland
where are all the Irish people???
Australia, new Zealand and Canada
Ye don't want jackeens around ye anyway.
Because unfortunately irish people don't actually give a fuck about what their own craft brewers are pumping out, no matter how good it actually is.

13.8% stout, be home by 9 with a chipper after 4 😅
2:16 that is pathetic.
I think it’s time for you to get a life Darren, instead about going on about beer 24/7
Its his passion, leave him the fuck alone
