Small caffs in Paisley and Renfrew are great. You should try Ferry Nice Food in Renfrew. There were several the other side of the river, but they keep flattening things and building new.
I must admit, this looks like one of top 3 meals you ever had. The freshness, ingredients everything looks like made with love and not super processed food.
Paisley struggles unfortunately, shame cos it's a lovely place. Some of the buildings are stunning. The abbey always looks great and there's often events and things to go and see.
Since you're up here get yourself down to largs and visit the fish works. It's absolutely fantastic and has one of the best views any chippy could wish for. It's on the front across from the ferry port. You will not be disappointed.

For the love of God, will you stop picking Danny up on "Paisley isn't in Glasgow, Hamilton isn't in Glasgow etc etc". He's driven hours up the road to come to our beautiful country to review our take aways and its clear he loves us and that 1st couple were lovely. Paisley and Glasgow are both great , pay no attention to area codes , as useless as post codes to identify where a person comes from . You are there to review the food. Personally prefer Glasgow & surrounding areas to Edinburgh. Nothing against Edinburgh, some great architecture if you exclude the parliament. I was getting a bit worried that the two fellas who put their order in at the same time were still waiting for their food for so long . Sure, it was worth it, though . Lovely to see you being so warmly welcomed and appreciated 😊😊.
My ex wife used to make home made pancakes and baked bread often many years ago. We had pancakes I liked to cook them plus use the plain yogurt and berries atop. This reminds me of it completely
