All these people saying "missed lethal with double baron" clearly don't understand it was to throw out the crystal core and show the genius of picking it. xD
For those who are wondering why the same two minions are different cost in 20:14 it is because the treasure order applies to the starting hand not the cards he got after.
The reason one Geddon costs 3 and the other 2 is the order at which treasures apply. For the one that was in hand robes take effect earlier, so it's discounted from 7 to 3 and scepter has no effect on it, the other 7-cost cards in deck are first discounted to 5 by scepter and then from 5 to 2 by robes.
The scepter activates once so it puts everything in your deck to 5, the robe activates the moment you get a card in your Hand. But i cant explain why does it work with pyros
Hey Toast! Here’s an insane treasure + dragon card combo. Stargazing (passive) + Coldara Drake + the Burning Wit (mage hero power) infinite potential with archmage antonidas and all the high cost cards.
I think I got it. The way it works is: the robe reduces the cost of the cards in your hand as it makes no sense to reduce them before you draw them. And then the scepter applies which makes the 2nd baron geddon be percieved as 7 mana, then it would be bringed down to 5 and then it would be reduced to half, but the one in hand was already reduced so the scepter just saw it as a 3 mana card.
Fun fact, basically every public business operation in Nevada has some sort of gambling. Even in some bunk cornerstore, it's very unlikely you will not see at least a few slot machines, with an age minimum naturally. It's kinda neat, just passing through on a Greyhound bus I got the chance to gamble a bit. If I were Toast I'd have considered that for the streaming of gambling, some random store owner probably has nothing to lose from getting some exposure, even though it's not a big roulette game or anything.
PSA: If you have robes of gaudiness and you get gallywix last boss... good luck i guess. Every time you play a card, he gets a copy of it and gives you a coin. Eventually you'll have a hand full of coins you can't get rid of.
@@ruxbon Was my first heroic mage run. Rakanishu or whatever. It's true Robes are OP, it's almost a cakewalk all the way - he just completely fucks you though.
I ran into that but i also had chose the treasure that forces ur to draw 3 a turn and that screwed me hard, but i ended up beating that run despite the coins
My favourite combo is the hero power that reduces the cost of cards with the goggles that make youre hero power cost 1 less because you can reduce the cost of cards twice each turn for free
You can use the Golden candle ,use the tavern to let him Start in the Hand and then you can use the passive which make your minions cost one less and if you have a lot of one mana cost minions you have a 100% ein Rate too xD
Toast, the most insane treasure is "use hero power 2x a turn, it cost 1 less" Combine that with 1 mana hero power that reduces the cost of a minion by 2. Now you can just reduce your hand by 4 mana for free every turn. Your 8 cost minions cost 0 after 2 turns. And you can play as many cards as you want every turn.
@@queendread4427 I'm of the same opinion. Every Hearthstone streamer disagrees with me, but I don't like the two card restriction on robes. Also, if you end up against Gallywix( very likely) you will end up with a hand full of gallywix coins that you can't spend fast enough to even GET two minions to play each turn. His Hero Power almost hard counters the robes.
Zuramat ends up being super simple if you picked up the perma-stealth passive during your run. Don't get me wrong, there are often better passives - but if you're unlucky enough for that to be your best, then lucky enough to actually face him at the end, it basically shuts off his hero power.
I think the second starting deck is actually pretty good, if you have the OP hero power because Blackwald Pixie, and all of the low-end cards are just solid though the mid-end is crap. The first deck is at least as good though, so it can go either way.
Toast, I know you’re the god of interactions but do you know Mindbreaker doesn’t work in Dalaran Heist? Got this interaction when I was playing mage and use Conjurer’s Calling then get Mindbreaker but then the enemy’s Passive hero power and my active hero power both work normally
I had this same setup in the run before I watched this video. I lost. Cause Haro (the guy who passively -2's your minions). Only being able to play 2 cards a turn reaaally backfired.
They might be insane but you have to get them in the correct order, because they trigger in the order you get them.. so you need to have the 5 mana one before you get the robes
9:35 is that the correct interaction with effigy? shouldnt it have summoned a 2 mana guy cause the first thing to die was the faerie dragon which costs 2
It doesn't actually replace the minion that dies, it summons a minion then checks the dead minion for deathrattle and it can't summon a minion when the board is full which it was when the faerie dragon died the board but wasn't removed yet, so effigy didn't trigger.
@@husboy1 effigy triggers after a friendly minion dies and replaces it with a new one. the dragon died, freeing up a new spot on the board. it did not have a deathrattle.
@@grelgen that's how it should work, but it doesn't actually replace the minion instantly, even if it doesn't have a deathrattle the game keeps it on the board while the secret checks if it should trigger, then the game checks the minion for deathrattles, even if it doesn't have any and then the game removes the minion. 1-2 sorcerers apprentice an antenodas? The one with unli fireball and the treasure that makes you use health instead of mana for spells = ez heroic trust me
I played Shaman on my first run, and ended up with a murloc deck. Got the treasure that gives 2 armor every time a friendly minion dies, as well as the one where you shuffle two copies of every minion you play into your deck. During the innkeeper rounds, I ended up reducing the mana cost of the 2-mana 2/2 with echo by 2. And noticed the echoed versions kept the mana cost reduction AND shuffled new copies into my deck. Even after being shuffled into my deck. So I had a full board of 2/2's every turn, each of which which then filled my deck with cards that would each again fill my board with 2/2's, and each of which gave me 2 armor when they died. My biggest problems was that my deck and my hand both got too full - apart from that it was a pretty easy run!
