The suit is straight up awesome. I do feel he needs a little tweak on his muscle suits concerning the ribcage/waist area because i also noticed they made me look thicker and not so streamlined, its a bit too bulky. But tbh my biggest problem with this suit was that the outer suit was made out of a very delicate mesh like material and the screen print did not hold well to it. I think he looked great in his suit, but I am not sure if he used any muscle suit (I don't think so) but the material used or the fit or whatever was really well done. Cavill's suit.. pure gold. I have an odd question: I'm always reading statements to the effect that a stretch bodysuit flattens out your muscles and this is why people wear padded muscle suits. Since you've worn suits with and without padding, what do you think? You're in a unique position to know about this subject.
@@StephenPhillips-te8yv it’s definitely sort of a yes and no answer. Four-way stretch Lycra or heavy spandex won’t necessarily flatten out your muscles. The reason that people add muscle suits to certain types of fabric, isn’t much to do with the stretch of it, it’s more to do with the pattern of it. My Reeve suit, for example… It accentuates the muscles that I have. You can see my abdominals through it, the definition of my shoulders, the definition of my chest, etc. Where as a suit like this one… Because there’s so much pattern going on, it would mute any definition so that’s why the added muscle. With Henry, they were more accentuating what he had that it would show through the suit. Yes, he had muscle padding, but it wasn’t to make him bigger, it was just to make him look more defined. @@Preludedraw yes I am the same. Then once the suit on I was like woah. But no the muscle suit is Napiers design. He might be able to customize it as in make it bigger or smaller though
Hey man! 1. You are frikin jacked. If i tried to wear that suit, itd look like a kid was wearing the suit compared to the actual hero in the suit. 2. About the suit and muscle padding, does it get hot in the suit? Id bet it would get rather sweaty since actors would sweat a lot in their suits behind the scenes. 3. About the muscle padding, why does the suit seem like it restricts your shoulder articulation? It looks a bit uncomfortable around the shoulders.
Thanks so much! It can get hot and sweaty. Just depending on the weather. Best way to clean. It is to just spray some kind of alcohol in it and let it dry. The reason that it restricts movement a little bit is just because of the nature of the parts on the shoulder. Because the edges don’t really give that much you can’t move too much without it really bending the shoulder itself. In a perfect world, the muscles would be made out of latex that’s more forgiving, but that’s so much more expensive.
☝️😲 I think you missed something with the cape, it looks like on the shoulders there’s a slot to slide the ends of the cape underneath and the ends of the cape form a loop and fold on itself. Meaning the front of the end pieces of the cape, slide under the part where the cape is supposed to go, then folds onto the Velcro creating the seamless look.
@@10191927 nope. Yes I can cut the suit slots open and I will to slot it in there. But the two types of Velcro are the same. Bruce himself already told me that he forgot to put the other Velcro on. :(
You should see my Bat-Suit. It's the Dark Knight suit and it's fits perfectly. It's also very comfortable but sweaty. I can turn my head with ease. It's cosplay and my most expensive costume yet. I like it.
Is it common that the black part of the muscle suit shows around the neck line? The MOS and BVS suits have that wider neck line, so I'd expect the muscle suit to match it.
This is the best Superman suit we’ve ever seen in a movie. Really out of this world design. Which is what makes the pictures of James Gunn’s Superman suit so disappointing.

@@Preludedraw yes I am the same. Then once the suit on I was like woah. But no the muscle suit is Napiers design. He might be able to customize it as in make it bigger or smaller though
I have a lot of doubts because I'm not completely fluent in English.
Where did you buy it? Is it already made? How much does it cost?
@@gabrielcavill Napiers :)
@@Superfitcosplay Thank you so much
Hey man!
You have a very nice body and u look great in that suit! And, now you know what it’s like to put on a pair of Spanx!

@@SuperfitcosplayThe unattached cape was irritating your soul😂
@@LaRon_Lucas LEGIT hahahaha I was like twitching

@@ssjEasterBunny no generally not. I might have to cut that back a little bit.
This is the best Superman suit we’ve ever seen in a movie. Really out of this world design. Which is what makes the pictures of James Gunn’s Superman suit so disappointing.

You're supposed to loop the gathered part around that plastic piece and fold it on itself to attach the cape?
Maybe? Or I might be wrong. But it looks like the fabric is supposed to attach to itself and the shoulder spots look like they're there for a reason.
@@Ivyroserune unfortunately not. It is meant to be Velcro. I could cut slits in it and do that way but he has told me he plain forgot hahaha

@@ronstewart6362 ahaha I like it man. Thanks so much!!
It is definitely not the best cape. The man of steel cape did not have any seams and it was at least 6-10 yds worth of cape. The boots look very short and saggy. I'm very impressed with the piping because that was very difficult to achieve with other suits. Depending on the lighting the piping looks silver and sometimes blue.
@@TheRopenNetwork no might not be the best cape, but certainly out of all the makers that I have worked with, this is the best quality. Incredibly movie accurate? No but still very good. And in terms of the boots… Yes… But when I take the proper time to actually set it all up and have someone else helping me, it’ll alleviate some of that. This is a cheaper end of the spectrum for custom suits, so I’m overall pretty happy with it. But you raise a good point… A lot of the times they will never be perfect or completely move Accurate. I’ve paid as much as $4500 US and still had major issues. Check out my indisguise designs review for that haha
I’m certain the dry cleaners can sow the cape on.
That would make it tricky to get the suit on and off
It looks like the Velcro will go through the slot and attach to itself. Examine it carefully.
I did. I have a few suits like this. But Napiers himself already told me he didn’t cut the slot or attach the hook side of the Velcro :). I’ve since fixed it. Video coming soon

Napiers is complete trash. Idc how good the suit is. It's not worth the terrible service. My Batman suit took 8 months to get to me, and that's with me badgering the guy every week for updates, and it was always the same bs excuses. He even told me that his laptop was stolen at one point, as an excuse or something? And he never answered my questions. If they were just honest about the process, it wouldn't be a problem, and it's not just you. Plenty of people have expressed the same issues.
