I showed how to boot into steam os in the video. You have to manually boot into boot manger then boot into steam os.

android is just an optional choice if some one does. need it.
Actually, in emulation. That's where Android is going to be much better than Windows or even Linux with that hardware. Specifically of most, Nintendo Switch emulation :) If compatibility layers all work well, performance it's going to be very nice.

The games that don’t boot are probably due to their anti cheat solutions
tectent are so sensentive. it need to be native android. Bliss os is not even emulated but they still treat it as emualtion.
@@ED4TI think the anti-cheat detects if it's being ran on an X86 device which could probably explain it

WayDroid is a similar approach that I've got running on my own Deck. Plays games, Sky Sports, etc. Just finished a play-through of Final Fantasy Dimensions, sometimes portable, sometimes docked. The benefit of WayDrid compared to this solution is that I retain my SD card for storage. Still, nice video.
If you wanna set up the bliss os into the hard disk, you have to create an extra EFI for it at the installation guide, It just needs 50MB. Then finish installing.

idk how but I accidentally overwrite steamOS with a broken Bliss and I don't know how to fix it!
You might need to re-image your deck.

Does it pass SafetyNet and Play Integrity? If not, that might be why certain games and apps won't run. Rooting and using PIF might be a solution.
It's not the problem of rooting. I believe some games are so sensitive. Esepically games are from tencent. they just treat bliss os as emulation too but they are not actually.
Hello, I followed your installation guide, but it doesn’t show my SD card which is 512gb. it shows only the internal storage 1tb. what should I do?

Does blue archive work correctly? I know on some android system the game will crash after downloading the necessary files and will not work
it now playeble from waydroid, sadly for now you need to install patch manually, not hard process but it manuall
I wanted to share that I have this installed on my ssd. The instructions are identical to what's shown in the video except you choose an empty (and formatted) partition. I installed "Bliss OS 16.9.6 (x86_64-v2) with GApps" on a 32gb ext4 partition. It seems to run fairly smooth with reasonable Steam Deck battery life, but I don't know if the analog sticks work (yet). I've successfully tested Amazon Prime Video, Netflix, Gmail, and Pac-Man Championship edition. I have a bit of an Infinity Gauntlet now with a quad-boot Steam Deck: SteamOS, Ubuntu Studio, Pop! OS, and Bliss OS. Also worth noting is that, due to Ubuntu, I have an additional EFI partition at the end of my drive that I used for Bliss OS. Happy Android-ing, Steam Deckers!

Yes the usc port works with external monitor.

it wont even install on my steam deck i followed evry step but it will install and then it go back to install and dont even say installed succesfully

Hi. Which version of Widevine DRM runs on blissOS?
It works but now everytime I try to boot my device it takes me to the GNU Grub Version 2.06-13 thing and I have to manually select to boot into either SteamOS or BlissOS by going to the Boot Loader
How can I get it to automatically boot into SteamOS by default

You need for format the sd card with your steam os first.

I installed Bliss OS on an x86 tablet PC and faced the same issues about compatibility. Some apps will not work on x86 devices, especially games. For dualboot, maybe rEFInd could help you. Hopefully with Chromebooks popularity increasing, it’ll be more apps compatible with x86 and suitable for landscape use.
Android apps on x86 are deprecated long way ago (think of the old intel atom smartphones / dualboot tablets) the way Google handles Android apps on x86 devices is through a kind of emulation (it's technically not emulation, it's pretty embedded on the system, that's why you see almost native performance. think of it like windows' subsystem, but better) this is why the cheapest Chromebooks are ARM based, while the middle to upper models can handle Intel and AMD.
yeah i think it will never be perfect and it still have a long way to go. but it can run some basic apps and games at least.
When ever I boot bliss os it resets all my progress on android I’m booting from live bliss is that the problem?

drivers issue, keep in mind that the Steam Deck has an x86 processor, while android devices have ARM processors, so not everything is going to be compatible
This is all not true. The reason these tencent games don't run is because they have an emulator protection and bliss os is and always was seen as an emulator.

Alrighty, did all the steps but now it's not booting into the Bliss OS. I'm on the same screen you're in before booting into the OS 7:51 All it does it just resets

@@ED4T Yeah, it even boots to the options (to boot into the installer or to use it live). No matter what I choose, it starts botting up and shows some text before restarting.
I tried 3 different versions of BlissOS across 3 different flash drives, in some versions it doesn't even reboot, it just hangs in the black screen with some text.
I even tried disabling ftpm and changing the usb mode in the bios, but it didn't change anything. Maybe it is because I have the OLED model.
What is strange is that the error even shows up when booting in a virtual machine...

How do u format the SD card into a format berry os can be installed onto? I keep getting not an EFI volume every time I pick the SD as the destination to install berry. Followed ur instructions to format in steam game mode & also tried reformatting in windows but all doesn't work. Appreciate if u had any ideas.

@rashidbrown6529 boot steam deck to boot manager and manual select bliss os. I believe you have to do this first time to boot up.
It's the same when I do that. Tried to reinstall & tried the refind bootloader but when I select berry os, it still goes back to grub>. I did note refind bootloader is better to for switching back to steam os
So if it doesn't work, how do I erase the grub bootloader?

I've tried manually inputting them I've tried copy and pasting txt file lines and NOTHING works! fyi the game I'm playing is dqm2 cobi and tara for the 3ds. note: Format SD in Steam Game Mode is not necessary if you are going to flash the micro SD using balena etcher in Steam Desktop Mode.
So does that mean you don't need a flash drive and will that cause any errors with the current sd card that's installed?

@@ED4T I play many games including genshin impact, private server tera and others, so having a dual boot would have been a great things to have on these handhelds
Also there were many more games coming to android like genshin impact that I look forward too, as someone who's on strict budget, I am conflicted from which device I should go for, the new anbernic 556 is also quite tempting.

yes, dude. you can even do them now but android will only boot from boot manager not the dual boot menu.

Need for speed limits is an ARM app, already in the video. KernelSU is there for root.
lots of new apps will not work with android9. its better to stay with 13 or 12 latest.

You can try. I tested a few of them. Most of them will fail to open playstore. The go version os16 is the most stable one I tested.

yes i did swap a complete white shell on my deck. you have to disassemble almost everything even remove the screen. a lot of work to do.

might not be possible for android without mapper atm
if the games support controller natively. the steam deck controller will just work fine. but i think most of those games just cant play well at current bliss os 16.

android emulators are buggy. most of games have anti-cheat feature will not run.
