This game was in french version And there was bit more of danger involved Because showers were buckets that might contain water, flour, youghurt, and confetti
I guess people thought that the objective of The Shower Game was to get one of Barker's Beauties undressed and have them take a shower in front of the contestant.
@@Gannooch Wasn’t that MOST of the time?! I remember watching EVERY EPISODE of “Ellen’s Game of Games” and it seemed to me that more often than not, when a female was called down to play, she was often wearing a t-shirt?! Was that just a coincidence?!
I actually remember seeing this game at least once; I was 5 yrs old during its short life. I remember that cardboard CAR key falling from the ceiling of the shower, so I saw at least one episode where the car was won. I do seem to remember the confetti too; not sure if I remember the $100 in singles though.
After Pay The Rent debuted I wondered if Shower Game still held the record for the largest prop. It certainly is the widest, but Pay The Rent is taller and I’m sure it’s probably a not-too-distant second (in fact, when they moved to the new studio in Glendale, they couldn’t fit it behind Door 2 and so as of Dec 15, 2023 have yet to play it since the move to the new studio)
Getting hit with confetti wasn’t necessarily defeat; it meant you got another turn. Getting hit with one hundred $1 bills, however, WAS defeat, because it meant the game was over and no car.
I only seen it once in my lifetime. ONCE. And although it was the same episode that also featured the debut of It's Optional, I feel that the Shower Game should have belonged on Fun House or some other Nickelodeon game show.
It’s not surprising why this game was retired, uninspiring, boring. Same thing with Telephone ☎️ Game. I liked It’s Optional better. My favourite retired pricing games: It’s Optional, Trader Bob, The Phone Home Game, Hit Me, Poker Game, Bump, Give Or Keep, Super Saver, Super Ball, Penny Ante, Hurdles.
I think this could have worked if it was more of guessing of small prizes to pick the shower like 1 shower has the car and 1 shower has $500.00, but you only get 4 picks and you have to earn the picks. So you can get 4 picks and still lose if you don't pick the one with the money or the car.
"We're not going to mention the controversy about how it reminding people (of a trigger topic)". - an instantly false statement. Because verbalizing any "We're not going to mention ... " statement is automatically self- negating.
I chose not to include it in this list, but I had to say something. Otherwise I would be inundated with people saying "you forgot to mention the gas chamber controversy" The reason I didn't include it was because I don't trust TH-cam's algorithms for controversial topics. I've had issues in previous videos with this.

First of all, Shower Game wasn't any good. Second, I've been trying to find as much information about "The Price Is Right" episode 14.89, airdate January 28th, 1986 (the episode that got interrupted by the Space Shuttle Challenger Accident), what can you tell me about that episode?

And that explains why it didn't last very long. 🤣🤣
This game predated the Ellen Degeneres game Make It Rain by 38 years.
Only difference is that contestants stood under umbrellas.
@@GannoochThat, and they ALSO got drenched, unlike this game!
@@laurakruk4692 I loved it when they got wet especially if it was a lady wearing a t-shirt.

@@laurakruk4692 I don’t know about that but it made for a great viewing experience.
Not mentioning... mentions.
Wink Martindale had a playing of this game on his page. I’m not sure if it’s still there.
Is it because they had a reference to a prize being offered that would offend Bob Barker following his wife's untimely death?
Another "fun" fact: There were complaints from Jewish viewers because it reminded them of the Holocaust.
I specifically left that one off the list, but I get it, it is something to talk about with this game.
Apparently the “Shower Game Stripper” won the car. We knew you were dreading this one. Is that why it took you so long?
Nope, just been very busy with my life outside of the channel. Creativity comes and goes with me.

I'm not impressed with shower game.
I'm sure nobody is. It's a game that belongs on Double Dare (1986) or something.
