- I decided to give my twitch chat control of Hollow Knight to see how much better they were at it than me. Here's how it went.

The most fun thing is how they refer to "Chat" as an ethereal being that's trying really hard to play the game but has incredibly bad brain-hand coordination
The human hive mind is all knowing, all seeing, and sucks at videogames.
Imagine if you had the same people doing this for a while who had actually set a goal for themselves

Headcanon: This is a universe where instead of having empty Vessels to contain the Radiance, the Pale King decided to try drowning her out by filling those Vessels with thousands of distinct minds. Her voice would be only one among a myriad, a whisper in the static.
The problems with this plan became apparent once he realised that most of those minds disagreed with each other.

Chat is a fickle god. Sometimes it helps and makes decent progress, sometimes it shoots down all that progress for three hours straight as it quarrels among itself, sometimes it entirely hyperfixates on one unrelated goal, and sometimes, very rarely but _sometimes,_ it feels it has waited long enough and speeds to their goal with perfect accuracy, disguising it as "luck".
I understand now. Gray Prince Zote is played by Chat, that's why his telegraphs are such BS.

I think this might be a cool category if you only allowed a few, non-trolly people to play. Maybe like that one person suggested, having each person tied to one button. Could be "Twitch Mods Play Hollow Knight", that way you don't have people with conflicting ideas as much, but still a lot of chaos of having like 10 players and 5 second delay. I wonder how far they could get, they would definitely need to pull out weird strats with attacking charms or healing charms and the like. Godsoul would be amazing, but getting it sounds horrible.
Yeah. But twitch chat can make all the bigger descisions by a fast vote, like what room to go to and charms.
Honestly sounds like a really cool idea. I feel Twitch plays always end up being more annoying than entertaining because some people are just trying to mess it up for everyone else

@@roda75 Actually, maybe not for long! As you ascend, the Void rises up to just below the highest platform height you arrived to, and falling means you respawn on it, so Chat would pretty much only have to do one jump at a time. With enough time, they'd finally manage to get to the top!

Chat survived longer against Pure Vessel than i would've expected. Honestly, all the respect to chat, they deserve it they're so good at this game
I love how Skurry isnt the constant "Oops, you accidentally went right, you can do it!" type of person you see everywhere, it's just "Oh, someone pressed right, good work you ruined it again."

Sounds about right. The infected bugs are to coordinated so clearly they aren't a hive mind when compared to twitch chat controlled knight
I was only half paying attention at some points and I just happened to catch Gruz Mother out of the corner of my eye and though, "Huh, why is Gruz Mother bald?" and the inverse of that thought is probably the most terrifying thing ever.

Free all (breakable) Lumaflies in the game at least once! Every lamp, headlamp, chest and don’t buy the lantern to not partake in caging in lumaflies.
that's a neat challenge, it's kind of an equivalent to grass% (although slightly easier)
you also cant turn on the lighthouse, as that uses lumaflies
@@Edyn42 no. It's an impossible challenge, actually. There is a container of charged lumaflies in monmons observatory. You can't break it.

This is the most effort filled, lazy way to play the game and I love it
i know you said there's no way this is actually like my first playthrough, but honestly, constantly trying to pull up a map even when i don't have one for the area is EXACTLY my playthrough

I have a friend who has OSDD (like Dissociative Personality Disorder or Multiple Personality Disorder but without the amnesia between them), and the way that chat try’s to do things but fails because it’s fighting itself is veeeeeeeery similar to how their body acts when multiple of them are fronting at once

damage immunity + pantheon 5 + twitch plays could make for an interesting speed run category. Definitely possible with soul gain on damage charms + chat spamming ddive or shriek depending on boss, though radiance or no eyes might be impossible due to platforming

Twitch trys to get through kings pass while them selves screw them selves up!
Ok obv it wasn’t like this but in my first play through I fell an embarrassing amount of times in the very early parkour because the only platformers I had played before were, like, Mario games and other similar stuff, so the tightness of the controls was hard for me to adust to. In this game, as soon as you let go of a direction you immediately have no remaining momentum in that direction, but in Mario games, you retain your momentum so you have to push in the opposite direction in order to cancel the momentum. So in the early platforming, I would just… jump over the platform and then immediately turn around and veer the opposite direction before I landed lol
I did the opposite a lot in Ori and the Will o Wisps. I was so used to HK platforming where you stop immediately that I would overshoot a lot of platforms and generally run head-first into stuff.
