Has anyone considered that the "desert area" might be the top of the volcanic area - the dust is volcanic ash. What if the Nightmare heart is the “hidden plant higher being”, the heart looks kinda like a petal but more importantly the arteries look kinda like roots. There’s also the poem mentioning “heart” and “servitude” and in the next line “wake”. The poem actually makes a bit of sense if you assume the Nightmare heart, or some version, is being hidden. A reason for Grimm wanting white flowers is to maybe fight off the shade lord, maybe the flower is a “waking world” version/embodiment of the Nightmare heart. Also the first menu for silksong had red, rising sparks eerily close to the Grimm Troupe menu in HK. Just a fun thought for fellow Grimm fans
@@AC-sj5rj That’s very true and I’m not completely convinced about this myself, but who knows with this little info on silksong. Plus I think the will probably be a reference to Grimm in silksong just because of how popular he is in the community, but 8t is unlikely to be this big of a cameo
It seems pretty unlikely, given what we know about the Nightmare Heart. From what we saw in HK, the primary domain of the Nightmare Heart is the Nightmare Realm of the Dream World, which split from the rest of the Dream World in times past. While we know it's possible for a higher being in the Dream World to have dominion over a terrestrial realm as well (a la the Radiance's dominion over Hallownest via the plague), there's nothing to suggest the Nightmare Heart operates in like manner. Instead, we see the Nightmare Heart dipping its metaphorical toes in various kingdoms before leaving without a trace. Also, given the Heart seems to use masks to control its subjects, there's no reason for it to just randomly use silk in another area.
I have a speculation that the bugs in Pharloom hate the Weavers that’s why you have to fight most npcs like the bell beast Also, like HK when we first meet Hornet we have to fight her then she becomes our ally.
No I don't think its weavers specifically. Its likely been in contact with cursed bugs of the citadel and is simply protecting itself. Plus now it has to live in tunnels of bells due to them.
maybe the huge elevator that seems to go to the citadel collapses when it's first used, causing the Hornet to fall into the base of the citadel...? Maybe that's the way the player gets to the base of the citadel, or somewhere else below

this is some pretty thorough work of the environment of silksong from the small amount of content we have right now! other than that the description is sending me
The internet's probably going to explode when it drops so it might be best to enjoy the heck out of it as soon as you can before everywhere is flooding with spoilers
My best bet as far as plot goes is that Silksong's big bad controls bugs through silk, like puppets. This silk is harvested from Weavers, which is why the Weavers had to leave Farloom, why Hornet was captured, and why Lace attempts to kill Hornet (who intends to go to the capital, right into the enemy's hands). I'm not sure how the "song" part plays (hah) in, maybe specific songs affect bugs in different ways?
i feel at the top of everything we gnn find some sort of key to open doors at the starting area to face the final bosses. Maybe the game wont stop even when u finish climbing and defeating last boss maybe a twist or something.
I recommend this channel to others by telling them that each video is simply 20-80 minutes of a being made of pure, crystallized bathos squeezing many litres of blood from a modestly-sized turnip.
I don't think you fight shakra, rather she guards the entrance to an area, maybe a shop area of sorts, and you have to have a certain item to be let through, kind of like a combination between the elder baldur in greenpath, and the knight statue blocking the city of tears
every time moss exposes content from the trailer, team cherry has to rework the game to make things different we MUST SACRIFICE HIM TO TEAM CHERRY TO APPEASE THEM SO THAT THEY MAY RELEASE SILK SONG
The black ball enemies are most likely a form of void construct considering that a fraction of its death animation can be seen in which it darkens completely and starts to dissolve into black balls.
This madman probably spent countless hours of his life making this video, searching for clues in each and every frame of Silksong footage we have and trying to connect everything to everything else and completely losing his last bits of sanity... just to set up an Among Us joke. Bravo, mossbag. You somehow made me respect you even more.
My theory is that the cause of the haunting is some sort of plant entity given the flowers/petals and the roots coming from the base of the citadel. Perhaps a dying entity, sending out the haunting to bring itself food and prolong its own existence.
I thunk the use of "may" in the description of Hornet getting to Greymoor doesn't mean you don't have to go there, but that you don't have to enter from that particular area. Since Greymoor is massive it likely has entrances to several other locations that you could find first.
19:24 -- Shown during his statement, what looks like water is seen pouring from some platforms. Might not be the source of Greymore's/"Barnacle Area"'s water/rain, but still.
I'm mostly interested in how Silksong's lore connects to HK's. Hornet only exists because the Beast (Herrah) was willing to sacrifice her life for Hallownest if she got a daughter in return. If Pharloom isn't connected to Hallownest in any shape or form then I'd only be disappointed. Also, I'd hope the Eldritch VOID is still... relevant or at least mentioned.
The big bad could also be using the silk as a type of puppet strings and the silk pointing up could be a cut off with the silk retreating back towards big bad
Great video, but I think you got 2 things wrong: 1. Sherma is not the one opening the gate, in the edge magazine they said that it was hornet who opened it by pressing a lever (we can see the lever above hornet in the clip) , and Sherma being unaware thinks it was his melodic tribute that opened the door. 2.The desert area seems to be either above or below the coral forest , based on the exact same type of pilliar we can see in both places as well as the same enemy type (the shielded guy with similiar design to the vault keepers)
the "doors" in the Moss Grotto area look like harps, so it wouldn't surprise me if Hornet being taught how to play the needle is supposed to interact with them

@@1umbreon4life Yeah this seems more likely tbh, honestly hope it’s a new higher being nowadays
As an active resident of Maine I can confirm that greymoor is right down the street
Maybe that's the way the player gets to the base of the citadel, or somewhere

Hey Mossbag don’t know if you’re reading this but congratulation on reaching your Kickstarter goal for titan shell I’m super excited to be back this project and I’m glad that you reach your goal. Keep on grinding man never give up don’t let anybody put you down also congratulations on 360,000 subscribers hopefully I can reach that goal like you did. That’s all I have to say have a nice day stay safe and enjoy life.
I used to regret sacrificing Mossbag but after reading the description no longer.
this is some pretty thorough work of the environment of silksong from the small amount of content we have right now!
other than that the description is sending me
9:33 my favorite part of the game is when lace said "its BLANK CELLIN' Time" and wandered/laced all over the _meet_3
This was my favourite end to a video of yours, thank you, Mr. Bag.
4:17 this game would be quite short if the needle didn't miss hornet's head
They predicted the Trump assassination attempt
I’m hyped for silk song but knowing me I’ll probably buy it day one and play a month later 💀
I'll probably buy it a month before and play it day one.
The internet's probably going to explode when it drops so it might be best to enjoy the heck out of it as soon as you can before everywhere is flooding with spoilers
@@scarabdust I'm going to have to stop going on the internet while I play the game

GORB IS INTRIGUED BY THE IDEA OF YOU HAVING THIS ABILITY TO FIND LORE SO EASILY, SURLY YOU HAVE A TRICK UP YOUR SLEVE!
I dunno mossbag, I'm not sure we can trust that map. I could have sworn it vented in admin.
Next video: Developing a copy of Silksong to see if it's fun
"Strap in boys we are going to learn about candle lore"
HELL YEAHHHHHH
God fucking dammit
He amogused us
HE PLAYED US LIKE A DAMN FIDDLE
love hornet's goofy crawl at 8:20
i feel at the top of everything we gnn find some sort of key to open doors at the starting area to face the final bosses. Maybe the game wont stop even when u finish climbing and defeating last boss maybe a twist or something.
I recommend this channel to others by telling them that each video is simply 20-80 minutes of a being made of pure, crystallized bathos squeezing many litres of blood from a modestly-sized turnip.
TeamCherry please release the game to save this man from madness
Too late!
I don't think you fight shakra, rather she guards the entrance to an area, maybe a shop area of sorts, and you have to have a certain item to be let through, kind of like a combination between the elder baldur in greenpath, and the knight statue blocking the city of tears
every time moss exposes content from the trailer, team cherry has to rework the game to make things different
we MUST SACRIFICE HIM TO TEAM CHERRY TO APPEASE THEM SO THAT THEY MAY RELEASE SILK SONG
my only hope is I live long enough to see silksong
I thought we already sacrificed this guy?
No, Bad fan, down! That's a no no. We can't let Team Cherry turn us into a cult.
Not yet
The black ball enemies are most likely a form of void construct considering that a fraction of its death animation can be seen in which it darkens completely and starts to dissolve into black balls.
Team Cherry: “You’re trying to get me to reveal something. It won’t work.”
This madman probably spent countless hours of his life making this video, searching for clues in each and every frame of Silksong footage we have and trying to connect everything to everything else and completely losing his last bits of sanity... just to set up an Among Us joke.
Bravo, mossbag. You somehow made me respect you even more.
9:19 R.I.P knight, you will be missed
When silksong is out I won't accept it, we need to continue waiting, to wait and wait, until death
whenever i hear sherma's name i just think of jerma
My theory is that the cause of the haunting is some sort of plant entity given the flowers/petals and the roots coming from the base of the citadel. Perhaps a dying entity, sending out the haunting to bring itself food and prolong its own existence.
The di es ire/the tune that plays after a boss is defeated is kinda like the one that plays in hk after a boss that plays before the cage spikes open
When the entirety of the video was just an elaborate among us joke.
I cant believe we already had the silksong map for so long and we didn't even notice
all that buildup for a fkin amongus joke
I love it
I know plenty of people have done it already haha but I just beat Pantheon of Hallownest today, and I couldn't be happier
Congrats!
Great video, but I think you got 2 things wrong:
1. Sherma is not the one opening the gate, in the edge magazine they said that it was hornet who opened it by pressing a lever (we can see the lever above hornet in the clip) , and Sherma being unaware thinks it was his melodic tribute that opened the door.
2.The desert area seems to be either above or below the coral forest , based on the exact same type of pilliar we can see in both places as well as the same enemy type (the shielded guy with similiar design to the vault keepers)
mossbag out here bouta know all the lore before the game is even out

the "doors" in the Moss Grotto area look like harps, so it wouldn't surprise me if Hornet being taught how to play the needle is supposed to interact with them
