The non voron PZ probe might be adaptable to an V6 style hot end, if you custom printed a mount for the hot end leaving room for the probe disc on top.
I ordered the "washer" version of the pz probe and it really is pretty easy to install. I hooked it up on my 0.2 with a Dropeffect next g fiber hotend in a dragonburner. I hooked it up and tested it with the pcb and working just kinda hanging. My biggest issue right now is finding a way to mount it on the Dragonburner in a way that the dainty little ribbon cable won't be at risk. Really wish they had just used regular wiring so it could just be ziptied up out of the way. My understanding is that ribbon cable is required for resistance reasons. As it's so new there aren't any mounts or anything designed for it yet so I'm currently trying to remix the dragonburner parts to tuck everything out of the way. That's why I'm watching every video that comes out about it in hopes someone has made something for it cuz i suck at CAD. Edit: for anyone who might've read this wall of text and it's interested, i didn't need to connect anything but the probe sense, power and ground wires as i didn't need to do any special configuration. It has 7 preset modes so chances are one will work for you.
I’ve made a version of the stock PFA X carriage to hold the controller board for use on my Micron build. Do you want a mount for on the carriage or the toolhead? I can whip up something for you if you want?
It has one advantage over the tapp, I would not say that it is the same. Tapp has a lot of movement which you must set in your printer config, this has way less movement, and should be easier to set correctly. I do not have my Tapp precisely set, since it is a hassle to get the 0,0X set. I set it so it works and adjust with Elephants Foot at 0,3mm. So I think that there is a definite advantage to this. I will get one and smash it on top of my Dragon Hotend, and see where it takes me.
Did'nt we have something like that in the 2.0 era. It was something that react to pressure but not attach to the tool head. I never used it as 2.1 was coming out and was more reliable.
I'd like to see the PZ installed on an Enderwire (switchwire). There is a mount for the CoreXY Vorons, but not (yet) the CoreXZ. I'm on the "notify me" list for the PZ cold end. I didn't find out about it until EVERYONE sold out. I home E3D makes more SOON! I was thinking of mounting the PCB with velcro.
This stream came about 30 minutes after I already scientifically confirmed the voltage requirement is absolutely 5v. I fed it 24v. Not 5v; twenty four volts. (I did think I was feeding it 5v) FFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUU
There are other creators with shorter video formats. There is something for everyone on the Internet. Also this is the recording of a live stream not a review video like other creators.

@@Leclaron a mount for the toolhead would be great. I would really appreciate that.

Big oof
If it makes you feel better Steve Makes did the exact same thing.
@@Leclaron It helps the heart more than the bank account 👍
20 k over here in aus is a 6 month suspension
Damn it, I felt asleep and missed the stream
Future me problem 😂
Power armor!!!!!
I really would love to watch your videos and hear your opinions but scrubbing through a 3+ hour long stream dump just ain’t happening…
POOR Steve =(
So it is as good as TAP
it accomplishes the same thing as tap does functionally, but through a different method.
Lets do nozzle probing with the most notoriously fragile hotend on the market! What could go wrong?
You should make shorter videos, this 3h+ format sucks for people with a life.
Watch it when you can skip around if needed. His content the way it is simply because he like this kind of content making form my understanding.
