I wonder if they describe NY the same way as bombay ...haves and the have nots ( personally every one only talks of riches in NY and its all about $$$$) ....NY too has its dark , poverty ridden side - fine it may not have " dharavi" as part of its fabric - that is not to say " city of dreams" in both countries have poverty right next to opulence. That begs me asking - why is poverty that bad and looked down upon ...yes every one should have the basic standards of life - but the poorest of the poor in india are happier , satisfied and content in themselves - and their broad ear to ear smiles reflect that ...which is a far cry from NY and its people ... i let you decide which poverty you focus on ...materialistic or emotional ....in india we focus more more in the latter ...why ? Because materialism comes and goes - but the latter cant be bought with any amounts of money you throw at life.
They have studio apartment in Brooklyn. Those are basically slums in NYC. Dharavi is actually a factory. And flat system is not appreciated by local living in dharavi. TBH dharavi is rich . It might look poor but many of the residents are actually rich.
Jonathan is not from NYC. I believe this is the only luxury hotel he checked into to film THE ROAD LESS TRAVEL, he has been to all kinds of places around the world
Not bad - could have done without the comments about who had sex with who and on what furniture, but if that's important to you - rather than the beauty of this place, the art and architecture, and the culture - then you should learn some humility.

Mumbais Nr.1 hotel near harbour and next to the Gateway of India. Was there in 2018 and had an exceptionally nice stay.
