I'd just had my 14th birthday and my folks got me what was a 3 in 1 a 7 inch TV with radio and tape player cost 100 quid in 1982 lot of money so I'm sat in my bedroom and saw Scotland v Brazil 82 World Cup in Spain David Naireys goal was fab but as he said later Gordon Strachan said cause we scored first that just pissed them off then Brazil got free kick right side pen area up steps Zico with one of the best goals I've ever seen it's in my top 10 all time best now people score like that regularly but that was pure magic I was jumping round me room Brazil won 4 v 1 and got to quarter finals the best team not to win World Cup absolutely priceless memories of a better more fun time not like now a lot of nasty bastards about and too many talentless people on TV wanting to be famous its sad but its the world we are in I'm hoping that like me people will just have enough and get rid of these morons specially the covid deniers that's my story of 82 world Cup Italy won it Paulo Rossi top scorer he died couple weeks ago just 62 very sad and another from the Brazil team Socrates the magician the captain loved those guys brilliant ball players never forgotten
