Looks great! Good review. We've had a smittybilt soft top on our TJ wrangler for a few years. It was always far too tight so the zips at the rear failed after some time but it still looks great. We are about to purchase a Bestop Replace-a-top for Oem hardware probably in Black Diamond Sailcloth. Also going to order matching glass door sliders but have heard mixed reviews. Also in regards to the gap on your roof at the front, check those metal roof clips that hold the roof down behind your sun visor. They tend to fold the metal hard above the windshield as they pull in tight causing a gap. Might be able to weld a small plate on to pull it back down or something. Enjoy the Bestop!
quick question, can you fold the top all the way down for a full topless ride or is it really only just the sunrider, side and rear window removal with the top staying on?
smitty soft tops for me bro, but i like the fastback look of yours..... and the customer support you have is awesome, you cant go wrong either way here
Hi Darryl, great review. Im thinking of purchasing this same top. Can you roll it down to run top-less without having to remove sides and rear ? Or is this top not made to function the same way as factory soft-top? Also where did you purchase, how much etc? Im also in Australia - Thanks and keep up the great work on your videos.
The sides and back come off leaving the top rear section that can be removed with a few straps. It has no frame and uses the OEM roll bar as its frame. Frankly, I fold back the front section a lot, leave off the back window sometimes and rarely take off the side windows. Purchased from Quadratec, its the Twill version, probably cost $2k or so delivered.
How has this top lasted over time? Also how is it in winter time?
It's still great, with the heater on its no different to the hardtop
I thumbs it up just because you got a replacement at no cost to you. That speaks a lot for backing up a product.
Agree!
That is some great customer service. Cheers for the tip on the wind noise fix.

Over time mines become easier to clip in, very pleased with the soft top still.
great warranty!
Yes indeed!

No, you have to take off the whole top. I get more use out of the sunrider foldback front section than anything. It's just so quick and easy to use.

my hardtop has some noise there at freeway speed, I am sure it's just a jeep gasket thing
Damn, now that's taking care of your customers.
Yes they are that good :)
Love the bowless look, what seats do you?
