Cool video, great job, I liked when you got three arms ! Always nice to have help sometimes !
It definitely helps, thanks for watching!
Even an orbital sander would do ya some good. Scorch brite pad on an air die grinder would be *chefs kiss*
True that would help, thanks!
great vid man!
Doing this on my 1996 Jeep Cherokee automatic transmission. Owners Manuel called for 2.5 QT 80w90 for rear diff.
💯👌
@@KCars Honestly a super simple process, hardest part was getting the bolts off from whoever tightened them last lol
Very true
As a professional mechanic, I highly disagree with spaying brake clean into the diff. But good job. A scraper would've saved the day.
Thanks!
Pro mechanic log took the words from my mind. I've seen a fair few videos with guys using brake cleaner. Yes it cleans thoroughly but then you end up with residual brake cleaner in your new (75)80/90 gear lube etc.
Have u done the same thing for your Challenger?
No I haven’t
Same process for a Manual XJ?
I would assume so
Why did you use STP?
No specific reason, it was just what advance auto had
Milwaukee angle grinder would make it easy
🤷🏼♂️
Why not add a drain plug. Both axels. Lol
You can use transmission fluid
Transmission fluid is lighter in viscosity than diff fluid so it should not be used but it’s possible if you’re in an emergency and it’s all you have
Thanks man
