Pretty cool that you could show him that PVC section of the drain system that he said he put 30 years ago! It sucks he had been living like that though. With roots pretty much completely taken over his drains he's quite fortunate you showed up. I wonder how long it's been since he could sit down and take a relaxing stress-free sh*t. I found that American baseball catchers knee and shin guards were the most comfortable knee pads as you didn't have to mess with them once you put them on.
