  • How to easily put an end to stumps, trees, bushes and shrubs. Save yourself some hassle. Instead of battling roots, paint Killzall on the fresh cut end and let it do the rest. For larger stumps, drill holes and apply liquid in the holes.

    • @FlowerFanatic
      @FlowerFanatic  ปีที่แล้ว

      You’re welcome. One application typically works on the stem. If you have a few pop up that you missed go and ahead and do it on those ones. My bigger trees I had to do a few times but It works awesome

    • @monicalarkin9311
      @monicalarkin9311 ปีที่แล้ว

      So am I painting the stumps of these bushes too. We used a stump remover to get the large roots out. But, the bushes are very resilient and they are growing back.

    • @Elena-ru2my
      @Elena-ru2my ปีที่แล้ว +1

      It didn't totally kill my bush, unfortunately. :/ I tried it about 3 times. To be fair though, it rained the day after literally every application so that may have washed some of the chemicals away.
      I ended up cutting the bush down to it's big stump then cut every stem under the dirt that the stump was connected to. In about 10 minutes I was able to remove the entire stump. It weighed a ton.

    • @FlowerFanatic
      @FlowerFanatic  ปีที่แล้ว

      Yeah if it gets diluted and the tree is quite big…you’re better off cutting it down and putting holes in the center and applying the killer. Rain will make it lose its effectiveness a bit since it needs to be fully concentrated. I’m glad you got it out! My walnut tree stump was big and I had to be a little bit more diligent and it took a little longer because of its size but it sure beat trying to dig that it out.

    Question. If I use that killer to get rid of a rose stump, will I be able to plant other flowers in the same spot afterwards?

    • @FlowerFanatic
      @FlowerFanatic  ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Yes. I would give it a few days. The killer is just absorbing into the stump. Just don’t let the flowers come in contact with the killer on the rose stump. As always use the killer with caution and carefully 😊 I used this method for some deep rooted nasty weeds and it worked too. It’s more meticulous and time consuming but effective. I try to not use it too much though.

    • @FlowerFanatic
      @FlowerFanatic  4 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Give it about two months. You may have to reapply if you missed a few that grew later or something. It’s quick though!

  • @aliceainscough1858
    @aliceainscough1858 ปีที่แล้ว

    I did something like this to bindweed I painted the leaves it killed those pieces of bindweed but the main plant is in the garden at the back of ours. It also killed some of my perennial sunflower even though I did not touch the sunflower with the weedkiller. Any ideas

    • @FlowerFanatic
      @FlowerFanatic  ปีที่แล้ว

      Topping the bindweed as you see them helps keep them under control a bit. It’s a hard one to kill…those roots go so deep. And they live forever. I have been topping every year and they seem to be getting better. I know spraying them with the killer fully concentrated with sticker spreader is extreme but an option. The problem is the plants around them…you have to be very careful and makes sure there’s no wind. The killer is more effective when it’s hot. It’s weird that it killed some of your sunflower. I have never had that happen. They are fairly easy to top. Especially before they flower. I did hear a method recently from my local botanical center. I’m gonna look into and get back to you. I think fall is the right time for the method the botanicals recommended.
