Today, were comparing two midrange phones of two of the most popular brands, Google and Samsung. Both of them were released recently.
Samsung Galaxy A53 is one of the most popular midrange a-series phone with a quad camera setup of 64 megapixel main, 12 megapixel ultrawide, 5 megapixel macro and 5 megapixel depth sensor.
While the Pixel 6a is rocking the flagship camera of Pixel 5 technically, with 12 megapixel main and 12 megapixel ultrawide with Google's famous computationall photography.

As an Android enjoyer and a Samfan, Pixel always beat Samsung in terms of the camera processing, when the pixel 2 came out I was amazed of how good the dynamic range is compare to the S7 at that time!
Got pixel 6a this week at some seasonal discount, updated it with android 13 update now, software very cool too. So far happy with it and learning to use, it has so many features but camera/video is very important. Good comparison job as price same for both.
Pixel 6a beats even the flapship cameras of the iPhones and the Samsung S series lineup. So the A53 doesn't stand a chance whatsoever. Pixel's just S-tier at the price point that it's at.
As a pixel 6a user.... The only thing that I hate is low light videography... It sucks honestly... Overall no regrets
I have pixel 6a and galaxy s21Ultra..s21ultra way far better..not even close
@@hmznteach it is funny how people experience things differently. I had an s22 ultra and went to a Pixel 6 Pro and liked the cameras better on the Pixel(not zoom though)
@@michaelclld Pixel 6 Pro has different hardware from the 6a and costs twice as much.
@@hmznteach DXO Mark would disagree. Pixel 6a scores 122 and S21 Ultra 115.
6a cannot be a mid range phone, it uses the tensor G1. its a flagship level processor, capable of processing the images better than the exynos chip inside the A53. Its the same price, but different league. The 6a camera can even put some of the current flagship phone camera to shame. Its just that good.
I love this comment, I agree! Its not like iPhone SE, flagship processor but mediocre camera. 6a got everything from the processor to the camera but on a midange price!

People really need to get over this ''megapixel'' mindset.. what even happened?
quite literally: the amount of megapixels on a phone says .. nothing. its a pointless number to know alltogether. Megapixels have NOTHING! to do with quality whatsoever, and even more so for a PHONE. Phones cant even make use of high pixel counts. You know why you need alot of Megapixels? If you re a professional photographer so you have more headroom in photoshop to work with in detail. or because you need to print something real big.. THATS what you need megapixels for... for watching them on a phonescreen mostly its entirely irellevant.
Take one of my old budget favourite dslr i allways carried around with me: Nikon D90 from 2008. it has 12,3MP and it still will blow any phone out of the water with the right in terms of image quality. Doesnt matter if its a 50mp phone or a xiaomi 200mp phone. Whos on top of the list for the most part for years in terms of consistent camera? right, i phones... they have 12mp aswell.
IF AT ALL, its even a disadvantage for a phone for the most part because it artificially increases the filesize of an image without increasing its quality wich means: you pay more for a providers bandwith to send all those huge files around... (maybe thats intended)

Saturated color right off the bat is kinda OKAY .. but the FLAT Color can always be fixed with Lightroom or Stock Editor .. so , Pixel 6A Any day

Why don't you compare the same resolution when using the selfie camera? How do you compare a 4k recording to a 1080p recording? That shi makes NO sense.

Not suprising that the Pixel 6a's camera beats the A53. The camera on the Pixel 6a is pretty much the same as the Pixel 5.

Hi All. I had a Pixel 3 (loved it ) then my boss gave me a A53, but the camera is so slow. When double clicking the power button to activate the camera, its take 3.5 seconds to be ready to take a photo. It also delays sometimes when i push the photo button, and sometimes it take a second or 2 to take a photo. Very annoying. My old pixel was almost instant with this feature. How long does the Pixel 6a take to start the camera, as i am gong overseas on holidays in a few months and i need a speedy camera. Cheers

Definitely Pixel 6a. Its has the same camera prowess as the 6 and 6 pro. The tensor G1 inside the 6a is the "magic" behind the 6a amazing camera performance.
