Fine dining? P&O Iona Epicurean Restaurant Experience

- Have you ever paid for a cruise then paid extra to sample speciality dining onboard the ship? We decided to try out the "fine dining" experience at the Epicurean onboard P&O Iona (also found on 4 more of the P&O fleet) for a 3 hour extravaganza of food and theatre. Here's the full experience with ever dish reviewed, a look at the rotating menus, the venue itself, service, costs and so on. So come on this gastronomical journey with us and tell us what you think! I have had to unfollow Paul & Carole as that’s what they do. It’s not interesting
Came off Arvia on Sunday and had Afternoon tea and dinner in Epicurean and both were AMAZING

On my last cruise I travelled with my husband, my husband's parents, my brother and his partner (and should have been my mum but she was ill). Me, my brother and his partner decided to try the epicurean for this menu on around the 4th night of the cruise - we weren't sure what to expect but really enjoyed it.
And yes... It did entice us back to try the other - in my opinion better, menu on our last night and we insisted the rest of the group went with us (and they loved it too)
And there you have it - it’s worth going back!!
Was that 30 pounds per person including wine. If so good deal

I'm a bit concerned now, was hoping to book the Epicuran for celebration evening but not so sure now 😮
What are you concerned about in particular?
@@TravelBlogJamie you didn't seem to rate the food as much as I thought you would, portion sizes looked a little mean, we've eaten in fine dining restaurants and know they're smaller portions but it just didn't wow me.

The langoustine starter at Epicurean is a must if you have the chance.

it was mushy because too much liquid in the pan wasn’t a chef as they would have know that haha
I think they put it in too soon - liquid needed to reduce first
