Whoever was driving that plaid was 100% not full pedaling that accelerator at the beginning of the races at all. The instant torque at full tilt from a stopped position is LITERALLY what makes an EV crazy at drag races. The Supra was an absolute beast and I’m sure even if the plaid driver did the car justice the Supra would have caught up at some point. Just really disappointing to see this called a “VS” but they essentially half-throttled the plaid 😔
We raced from a roll! You are right the plaid didn’t go full throttle at the start, it paced the Supra and then went full tilt at the first set of cones
BOOOOORRRRIIIING!!!! I want to see these cars compete on REAL Racetracks. Do like 3 laps or more not just boring ass strips, but tracks with hairpin turns, chicanes, esses, banked turns, sweeping turns, apexes, carousels, double apex turns, corkscrews, U-turns, and kinks. Each of these curves has its own unique challenge, and different racetracks use them in various combinations to create exciting and challenging courses.
@@jameswhite9558- NEWS FLASH! Nobody is suggesting they do 40+ Laps. Those cars can all compete with each other on a race track. They can do 3 laps. It's actually all about the most important part of any car, the part that touches the ground, the tires.
@Storyteller-do3sq no what I'm saying is the supra looks like it was mad for drag and probably has a different type of suspension and linkage stopping the car from Over stear on a strip I agree with you on the seeing them on a track but some cars are built just for one or the other.
There’s nothing really amazing about electric cars. It’s all really a growth and evolution of technology and lithium batteries. It’s all battery powered and so it just goes when the accelerator is engaged. Pretty simple and unimpressive, really. However, an internal combustion engine, gasoline powered vehicle is the gold standard of engineering brilliance. Think about how genius and brilliant Toyota designers and engineers are to create and build something of the magnificent, almost perfection of a gas powered engine. Toyota engineers are literally the best when it comes to reliability, capability and consistency. You cannot yet say Tesla is consistently great. Toyota has decades and decades of engineering supremacy and the trust of its customers. The 2JZ-GTE engine Toyota created might be the single most brilliant perfect engine ever to come out of Japan for its sheer capability. This engine, can exceed over 1500 HP for a gasoline engine that was designed possibly in the 80s and built in the 90s. That’s really insane when you think about it. It just goes to show how smart, intelligent, and brilliant Toyota and their engineers have been since Toyota’s inception. It’s almost 2025 now and the power of an electric motor has just recently been introduced for mass production cars, yet, Toyota has made an engine this powerful in the thousands of horsepower since the 1990s. That’s incredibly amazing. I love Toyota!
I think it’s amazing the car drove itself from my house to the airstrip and beat bassically every car at the event other than a $300,000 1800hp Supra haha. With AC, cooled seats and the radio on. I’d still rather have the Supra but there are impressive elements to the plaid.
This right here is why EV's will never be better than a ICE powered vehicle. EV ok ill buy something quick. ICE ill buy something quick and Ill make it into whatever I want lol
@@TheMediaPlugs The Nivera R is great and all but again the way it comes is the way it will be forever. Also, any 2000+hp built for example Mustang, Vette, Audi, GTR, Lambo or supra will embarrass the Nivera R. There are a ton of street driven 1500+hp cars that hit 7s quarter mile times. And before you go ohhh they're really not daily driven well go to texas and youll see them driven just as much as any Nivera owner will ever drive. I'm also seeing stock engine trans F150's with turbos or blowers hitting 8s so I mean that 8-9s mark was a holy grail like 15 years ago now its easily achievable with modern engine/drivetrains. Again, that's what makes the ICE vehicle so great you can take a 19 second civic and make it a 5 second car. EV's will never be that way they lack the ability to be modified.
@@ssilver2k Let it happen built engines will still outperform them. The energy level of fuel is still higher than that of battery packs. Efficiency is the only inhibitor minus the EPA to ICE. However, displacement and boost offset the inefficiency in terms of power output look at top fuel 10000+hp out of an archaic pushrod with capped displacement. EV output with current technology and near future technology basically our lifetimes will never see anything like you are talking about. The physical size of the electric motors to create that power along with the consumption on a battery pack would be too heavy and too big of a draw to place into a performance application. Ice in comparison is a relatively small foot print in a vehicle platform. Plus, you talk future you can't leave out the development of the ICE platform in terms of Hydrogen, water and synthetic fuels. The actual capability of that is an unknown. Also stock 3000hp ev's will be a fortune and 1 in a million. 3000hp ICE build vehicles can been seen nearly every day at tracks and racing on the streets of Mexico in Texas lol.
It takes Supra 8 seconds to match speeds. They are already doing 140+ mph. And about 11 seconds to pass the Tesla, when it is already going at its maximum non-track-pack speed of 160+ mph. There's no victory here.
@ you ran the same surface the Plaid did. I’m not convinced the Plaid is track pack, but that doesn’t even matter. I’m not dissing your build, I’m just saying when it comes to such extreme comparisons, the Plaid wins even when it loses.

I have a great idea..tell Tesla to build a car that compete it the 24 hr of LeMans…see how they really hold up …let’s see an EV do that…😂😂.
That supra last gear sounds like it saying (mira, mira, mirameee) in english meaning is (look, look, look at me )
Great seeing this car over the weekend! ❤
Supra is absolutely INSANE
800hp difference will do that.
The Tesla will still beat a Demon 170.
I love seeing any ice powered car absolutely demolish electric toy rc cars. Well done!
So do I haha
It’s always satisfying!
They excuses from the EV cult afterwards are always comedy gold lol
Supra my all time childhood favorite
Letting the Supra be ahead is like watching a plane disappear
The tune and boost by gear seams very good
Thanks for the breakdown! I need some advice: My OKX wallet holds some USDT, and I have the seed phrase. (alarm fetch churn bridge exercise tape speak race clerk couch crater letter). Could you explain how to move them to Binance?
Tesla's are everywhere , I cant go outside without seeing a tesla. The Supra is rare sight, a true icon in the automotive world & for good reason.
Omg the top-end on that supra is mega
BOOOOORRRRIIIING!!!!
I want to see these cars compete on REAL Racetracks. Do like 3 laps or more not just boring ass strips, but tracks with hairpin turns, chicanes, esses, banked turns, sweeping turns, apexes, carousels, double apex turns, corkscrews, U-turns, and kinks. Each of these curves has its own unique challenge, and different racetracks use them in various combinations to create exciting and challenging courses.
Lol that supra is not made for a track
I wish this video was 40 mins long lol. That thing is dialed in nice
Damn it, a video I want to watch and gotta hear this voice for 8 minutes
Those s Tesla pads are ridiculous but this Supra is on a completely different level.
This right here is why EV's will never be better than a ICE powered vehicle. EV ok ill buy something quick. ICE ill buy something quick and Ill make it into whatever I want lol
But what about when bone stock EVs are 3000+hp? It's gonna happen.....😢
Till you race the nivera r
@@ssilver2kit’s already here nivera r
Tesla did 170 Supra did 200+. The limiter is off the plaid. And we pretty much raced on the worst surface known to man lol
@ you ran the same surface the Plaid did. I’m not convinced the Plaid is track pack, but that doesn’t even matter. I’m not dissing your build, I’m just saying when it comes to such extreme comparisons, the Plaid wins even when it loses.
@@mrb2349True, the slower car wins a race. Exactly
Hey Bro, Tesla Model S Vs Toyota Crown Sedan, Not a Supra
AND THIS IS WHY I FOKIN LOVE ENGINE CARS
Good lord! What kind of G's were you pulling on acceleration? Also, I think I may change my goals for my 2jz build....
man, at 3:58 its that, ain't nothing gonna break my Stride
Sequnchal is just so good
It's wild to hear that Supra chopping like a cammed ZO6.
ICE > EV
Kid
@@yusufcanaktas6929Cope
Yeah 4door sedan vs a 100 plus moded supra...don't forget that you are comparing a family sedan
@SuryaDas-w7d *intentionally ignoring that the family sedan has over 1000 wheel horse power because TESLA PLAID! ELON MUSK!
Cope.
@@dantethomas7964mad cus the supra is more expensive and needed more than a quarter mile to catch up to a 5000lbs ipad
Racing starts at 3:45
Dude! With the that horse power and speed I would use a full harness seat belt driving that
And they say spinning ain’t winning
What a sic car! Another level ❤🎉
It’s insane right?
Not big on Imports myself but that Supra...that's dreamy. Probably one of a handful of perfectly built ones Ive ever seen.
keep up da drag videos-everyone
Nice 3 point clicky harness
That Supra is sick!!!!
Absolute JDM perfection. 👌
Streetcar: Parachute might give it away. Great car.
1020hp vs 1800hp wild difference☠
Where can we hear more about this mk4 Supra ?
I got a z350 roadster conv. & a 5.0 Supercharged Range Rover. Too scary to max the speeds out. Lol.
Dude is wealthy!! This was not a fair race. Basically a custom-built street-legal drag racer. NICE, but how much cash did he put into the Supra? The faster you go the more it cost.
Doesnt matter if an EV car wins.
its still only 50% of a real car.
i buy a car which gives me 100% experience
Braggers makes a sick billet 2jz makes 2800 not even breaking a sweat, have one it the most unassuming cars just hit a 7.09 in the 1/4
After over one minute of fighting with traction and nothing blowing up on the supra, it was finally able to pass the four-door sedan
The compression fan boys even fathom the idea of what a 1800 hp 2500 hp Tesla will look like for their community?
I have the answer. It will be the end of their community and Tesla is in the works of releasing the twin turbo killer
Stay slow, combustion fanboy, and don’t blow up any turbos
But if I have to choose which one to buy and drive, I’m not riding a Supra. 😂
