Team cilantro. Fortunately don't have the gene that makes it taste like soap. Love just lightly bundling the stems and leaves and chopping it all. So good! No waste. 🌱
Cilantro tip: you need to get dried cilantro if you want to cook it in with the rice and it will rehydrate and add the flavor to your cooking. Fresh cilantro is best used uncooked like in Pico, salads or as a garnish Also to extend the life of fresh cilantro stick it in water in the fridge or an herb fresh container
Something that has helped me tremendously- write down either in your phone notes or somewhere you’ll never lose it, every single recipe you know how to make (if you haven’t already). I have a list of all the meals I know to make on a note in my phone, so that every week when I meal plan I can visually scroll through chicken meals, beef meals, soups, pastas, casseroles, etc that I know how to make and I know the recipes for and it has made meal planning so much easier. That way you can review it before going to the grocery store, like, “ok I’m going to make chicken pot pie, for that I need carrots….potatoes…etc” and then you can go to the grocery store with a list comprised of your meal plan. It can be time consuming at first, but once you get the hang of it, its a total game changer for grocery shopping and meal planning! Much easier than the days of being like, “hmm, what should we make for dinner tonight?” Also something helpful for me since I’m a visual person is having a weekly meal plan (just for dinner for now, like you said in the video) magnetized dry erase board on the fridge, the one I have has boxes for Monday-Sunday, so that while I meal plan every Monday, I write in each day and each meal that we’ll be having for dinner. It’s like a menu, it’s so fun! It makes days with toddlers much more predictable which is so nessescary amongst the chaos, plus there’s much less food waste because you can write in days to just eat leftovers which makes things even easier.
Thank so much! I literally do this and it’s been a game changer for me! I have it in my notes what we’re eating for breakfast lunch and dinner everyday and make a list and then go grocery shopping with that in mind. It def is time consuming putting that list together but it’s been very helpful!
I’ve been watching and staying up to date with your videos but I really love watching the cooking videos! There’s so many ways to cook these meals! I’ll have to try this way!
Def team cilantro-stems and all lol💚Love how the individual containers turned out-very nice👌🏾Going to use the tip about adding the cilantro after cooking.
Hi glory I cook for day care children I also made turkey tacos they really enjoyed it that makes me happy love today's video love your recipes you are Great cook blessing from NYC❤
A great dinner meal prep is lasagna roll-ups. Easy to freeze✨ You can add Aldi frozen spinach for extra veggies or sub impossible or another brand to make it vegetarian. 🌱
I made this without the cilantro and replaced beans with kidney beans because it’s what I had. And my son loooooved it. I’m not confident in my kitchen skills. And you made this video so easy to follow and with a handful of ingredients. I appreciate that as a single mom who cooking is not my forte. Also. It was super easy to make and I have enough for the week for me and my son. I’ve never meal prepped but I finally did now !!
I love meal prepping! I normally start on Saturdays (my husband's breakfast & lunch for the work week) & finish on sundays (our dinner for the next few days & my work lunch). When that runs out we'll eat whatever we have home or eat out once a week. I do prefer freshly cooked meals but I like it better spending a few hours cooking for a day or two vs every other day. I think it saves more time that way.
I agree about adding cilantro to rice while cooking dilutes the flavor. My hack, I chop up the stems from cilantro and add those while cooking. Flavors the rice and uses a part that usually gets thrown away by most people. Then after cooking the rice I add the cilantro leaves.
I make these with black beans, green chilies, roasted corn, tomatoes, rice, lettuce, cheese, and sour cream ❤😊 Dang ! Now I'm hungry 😂 Can't do cilantro !!! Awesome video, by the way ❤
mexican american here! i love cilantro too but i bet you love it way more than i do 😂❤ if you're interested maybe do "pico de gallo" as a topping. we eat it whenever we have tacos (mostly everyday lol) also my mom adds chopped onion with beans to add flavor! idk how she does it but it tastes so good whenever she cooks it. i gotta start taking notes in the kitchen!!!!!
You’re so patient with the cilantro girl. I need to hook you up with an easy and QUICK way of chopping it. Lol. I love me some bowls! Do you ever go to Trader Joe’s? I know you’re a big Aldi shopper. Anyway… TJ has this marinated chicken (tikka masala style) that I love to use for bowls… and their arugula lime salad… rice as the bed, and roasted corn and homemade pico de gallo. The best!
Haha I think next time I will just leave the stems and that will take much less time 😂 and I do! I used to eat more often and I’ve been wanting to go back for the longest time!
I actually meal prep every time I cook! I like to make enough so that it lasts 2-3 days as i don't have the time(or the will lol) to cook a different meal every night. Btw yes, cilantro is the best!
I find Becky from @AcreHomestead really helpful on food prep tips - something she says that I keep in mind is just making an extra portion (or two+) (like you did today) and putting it away. Eventually you'll build up a backlog of meals that you can take out as needed.
🙋🏾♀️ Team cilantro and tarragon actually. Please, please, please consider tying your hair up, so it won’t be in the way, a piece of hair won’t go into the food and most importantly, you don’t touch your own hair. That applies for rings and other jewelry that may be near cooking purpose, as well. I personally take off my wedding bands and place it in a secured designated spot, whenever I’m in the kitchen.
I cannot do a full day meal prep! Aint nobody have the dedication for that lol. I cook about 3 times a week, all meals under 30 minutes, whether i make spaghetti, tacos, a crock pot meal where i throw everything in before i go to work, chicken wings and rice etc. I cook for myself and my small kids, so i always make enough for leftovers and for me to take lunch to work. I would hate to spend hours one day making meals and mid week my kids are like im not eating that lol. Matter fact, by the time im done making all those meals, now my house is in shambles ans im spending the rest of the week cleaning! No maam lol
She’s cooking for her family, not a restaurant. I highly doubt her reaching for her hair while cooking is going to do anything, I promise. God bless 🙏🏽
Team cilantro. Fortunately don't have the gene that makes it taste like soap. Love just lightly bundling the stems and leaves and chopping it all. So good! No waste. 🌱
I love when you can hear the kids in the back😂😂 feels like a legit ft call
I LOVE CILANTRO!❤ have it with every meal, I'm not eating without it
Yay me too! I could totally eat it with every meal!!!
It’s also soo good to detoxify you from chemicals ❤️

Your love for cilantro is too cute!!
I’m loving your cooking and grocery shopping videos!
So inspiring. Always getting ideas from you.
Yay I’m so glad!:)
Def team cilantro-stems and all lol💚Love how the individual containers turned out-very nice👌🏾Going to use the tip about adding the cilantro after cooking.
Haha true, I’ve eaten stems too! Shoulda just kept them in 😂 and yay! Yes you can totally taste it better!
Hi glory I cook for day care children I also made turkey tacos they really enjoyed it that makes me happy love today's video love your recipes you are Great cook blessing from NYC❤
Aw that’s awesome! God bless you and those kiddos:)
I was surprised that you only use cilantro leaves. Here in Brazil we have the habit of chopping everything and putting it in our food.
I should have done that! Will do next time
Im in love with cilantro too, i love the smell🙌🏻 all the great cooks love cilantro. 🥰🤣🤣 i also added fresh at the end
A great dinner meal prep is lasagna roll-ups. Easy to freeze✨ You can add Aldi frozen spinach for extra veggies or sub impossible or another brand to make it vegetarian. 🌱
Ooooh that sounds so good! Def going to remember that one!

My fave thing is to cook up tortellini pasta for a couple days and then add either chicken to it or eat it as it is 😊
Your skills and ideas are getting better and better each video well done 👍🏾
❤ burritos are so good, great prep idea😋❣️
Loving the consistency glo ❤
Thank you :)
It looks delicious! I would definitely eat that with some salsa or taco sauce. So many options to add or customize it.
Def ate it with some salsa !:)
I love your rambling about cilantro. Don't think you need to cut that out.
Hahahaha I love it so much
Yum! Super easy but a delicious meal.
New viewer ,sending love from Newfoundland Canada.
Yay thank you!❤️❤️

I actually meal prep every time I cook! I like to make enough so that it lasts 2-3 days as i don't have the time(or the will lol) to cook a different meal every night. Btw yes, cilantro is the best!
It’s so smart! I’m going to implement meal prep every week now for 2-3 days. It also saves me some money and brain power haha
I find Becky from @AcreHomestead really helpful on food prep tips - something she says that I keep in mind is just making an extra portion (or two+) (like you did today) and putting it away. Eventually you'll build up a backlog of meals that you can take out as needed.
Glory it could be spicy to the kids because your not adding water to the season pack normally on taco season pack you add water
Look good ❤❤
Team cilantro!
I LOVE WATCHING YOUR VIDEOS 🫶🏽🫶🏽
Chipotle too?!
TACO TUEEESSSDAYYYYY
🙋🏾♀️ Team cilantro and tarragon actually.

I normally tie my hair up all the time anyways so yes, all great points!
I cannot do a full day meal prep! Aint nobody have the dedication for that lol. I love all veggies but cilantro is the only veggie that I absolutely not like 😂
Team cilantro
👍🏽👍🏽👍🏽👍🏽
Save the ground meat liquid for future broth / soup!
Power bowls
You should try a global knife. They’re pretty lightweight and durable. They’re more wallet friendly than Cutco
Ooh never heard of it, I’ll look into them!
I was raised to always put your hair in a band when cooking
I have one child and she taught me patience and she is six months old
Dont drain turkey meat, let it cook enough to re-absorb in the meat, it will not be greasy. Draining it will mess up the texture.
Team not cilantro
How are you impatient with two kids it doesn’t make sense to me. I feel like patient has to be brought in in some type of way.
Not team cilantro. It literally makes me sick
Please tie your hair and don't touch it when you're cooking. Other than that great content!
She’s cooking for her family, not a restaurant. I highly doubt her reaching for her hair while cooking is going to do anything, I promise. God bless 🙏🏽
I do not like cilantro
