Nespresso Vertuo line machines only work with Nespresso capsules since the machine need to scan the barcode and use different brew method. They are not compatible with the original capsules that used in original machines such as Pixie, Essenza, Citiz etc.

@@warren681 Yes, it's hard to choose. The Vertuo machine offers more options for a large cup of coffee, while Original machines only brew single or double shots. If you mainly drink plain coffee, personally I find that coffee from the Vertuo machine tastes a bit better and more flavorful. If you primarily enjoy coffee with milk, I think the Original machine is better. The coffee is more like traditional espresso, which pairs better with milk. And the capsules for original are more affordable and you have more choices. Hope this helps. :)

@@brewcoffeehome Sir, many thanks for your kind help and precious time. I am now still searching for an answer to which technique (original or vertuo) does produce the best coffee (no matter which is more expensive because good tastes will rule). After all, using the pressure by original line is the traditional way of making a “coffee”, so I am wondering if the new way by vertuo line can really well replace the original way. If not, I would rather invest in the original world and enjoy the endless third party new flavor. If yes, I would be happy to join the brand new world and ride on the new wave of technique.
