Been playing pure Evil eye for a while now. Very solid going first deck for casual play, and is also able to disrupt the meta decks if going first. The problem is going second against decks with a lot of negates. You'd need a very good hand to play through it. I'd definitely recommend it for people who want to play it casually, you'll mostly stomp people in gold. Plat is a different story though, if you're not going first you're screwed.
"if you're not going first you're screwed" pretty sure that applies to like every deck in Platinum tho, unless you are using a Kaiju deck or something.
@@V-Jes You are most certainly right, it's just that Evil eye doesn't have much space for handtraps and other sorts of interruptions which let some other deck actually attempt to win going second.

As a TCG player I must say the deck has a lot of flaws. From Consistency issues to relying on a single spellcard to do anything resonable. Its a great fun deck but it's weak against a lot the meta does (spell/trap removal, removal that does not target and so on).
Any form of removal or effect that negates activations and destroys. Will end the deck. Every deck has some form of one of those. You have to get extremely lucky to win with Evil Eye consistently.
@@Dr.Moogle The deck is pretty good at recovering. This deck has great consistency. Also the spell card can be indestructible with beast. So the literal only options are non target banish or return to hand for both the monster and spell. That's an extremely specific requirement to get around. And if you are talking about decks that have 6 negates first turn, then you were screwed anyway. But an indestructible, untargetable, attack twice, 2600 beater, with a spell that increases attack, and destroy a card once per turn, is a pretty good set up. At least for me.
