The sound is ACC is so good! I really hope AC2 draws a large user base on PS5 and challenges GT7. GT7 is a great game for many reasons, but I still much prefer driving with the realism of ACC.
I only play GT7 because I'm driving in VR. ACC (on console) doesn't support that yet. And I don't know but maybe in ACC was much less fuel than the 100 in GT7?
ACC wont ever work in VR on PS5 because the Unreal Engine is terrible for VR. You need a 2000 USD GPU on PC to run ACC in VR. Hope AC Evo does it better.
Excellent video 👌, I think GT7 physics is a little too forgiving (the gap in GT7 vs ACC lap times could have been worse) - down-shifting amid cornering is supposed to have an impact on cornering grip - loosing grip due to abrupt weight transfer (i.e. from front to back then back to front) as a result of engine decoupling and re-coupling (i.e. an abrupt loss of engine breaking and restoration), this is supposed to be reflected by a little oversteer during re-coupling (engine de-coupling understeer is typically less prominent but the re-coupling oversteer is not supposed to be this forgiving) - hence this phenomenon is generally summarized as "down-shifting amid cornering causes oversteer and may even lead to spinning off", at 1:34 and the following corner at 1:45, he made the mistake of down-shifting amid cornering but no visible or audible sign of impact whatsoever. Even the bad apple version of Project Cars (number 3) does that part of the physics better and penalizes with a direct hit on cornering grip if you downshift amid cornering. Also, GT7 tire sounds are less pronounced and provides less audio feedback with regards to loss of grip during cornering. ACC sound on the other hand is more detailed and provides way better feedback!
I had ACC on PS4 and now on PS5. Without doubt the PS5 version is better than PS4. But it’s still a very playable sim. The step up on PS5 is excellent. 60fps 4K. I think also the sample rate for the wheel is higher. For me it’s the best racing experience on console bar none. GT7 approaches things a little differently. More car art and presentation with great Simcade feel. ACC feels raw and exciting and a true drivers pleasure. It’s all opinion of course but I stand by mine 👍
Hi. I respect the fact that we all have different opinions but the Lexus in GT7 is a GT3 spec car in the same way that the ACC version of the Lexus is a GT3 spec car. They have the same weight, dimensions, engine displacement and power. Theyre essentially the same vehicle, but represented by the developers in their own way hence the lap times are always very very close. I’m content that this is a reasonable representation of the two titles and how each individual circuit compares across the two sims.
Interesting that some people prefer the sound of GT7. I think ACC sounds way better. So much more nuanced and raw. Motors sound so boringly synthetic in GT7. And going over a curb makes the exact same rattle noise, no matter what car you are driving.
GT7 sound is recorded in each car, it's far less synthetic than ACC. If you listen to it with a good 7.1 system, with the volume WAY up, it's amazing. At normal volume levels it sounds average asf.

Acc has better fysics then gt7. Like you said Acc let you understand more of the car then gt7."with or with our setups" The gears are almost the same in both games. Acc let's you push the gears,in gt7 a bit less. To have a good look within the game. Run a track with similar car default and setup. It's a big difference between the games. But still both games have there ups and downs. Still love both games for several reasons✌️ And for what i can see, don't be gentle with the car, your faster then you think'for what i have seen on your videos.🍻
Agree with you on liking both sims. Both definitely have their positives and negatives. ACC for me is pure driving whereas GT7 is a car lovers title. The driving is great, but just not as pure in sim physics. It’s impressive how the lap times are so close. Appreciate the comment about speed. I do okay but there are some aliens out there 👌
@@mjbrtn1192 with speed Acc will be faster then Gt7. Waiting for the release of the ndw ACC. Every game has his aliens. But that ain't our goal. The goal is to fun and set a goal. Knowing what aliens can do doesn't make you faster. It's all about what is in your head😉
To be honest I dont think it’s pointless at all. The Lexus in GT7 is the equivalent of the Lexus in ACC. That’s why the times are so close. There’s also the difference in the feel of the cars and the presentation of the track. I think there’s lots to compare and be interested in the different approaches. I’m not looking to say one is better than the other just how they compare and which I prefer.
Gt7 and acc are very different to drive, downshifting and upshifting are very different, like on gt7 the mclaren needs to be shortshifted as in acc is not dont know if in gt7 that has been changed!! But in real life no car has to be shortshifted to get the most out of it!!! And the other thing acc dont have a good resolution on ps5 and i like to drive with the car view and in acc the sound with that is really bad!!! But that is personal!!
@michaelschneider1365 I would say GT7 is designed better for a controller than a wheel. Crazy when the DDPro was promoted at the best device for GT7. In ACC the DDPro is very good at describing what the car is doing. GT7 not so much. I love both but for the driving, not graphics or sound etc. but pure driving. It’s ACC for me.
@mjbrtn1192 exactly. They are both good at what is their main focus i guess. Except sometimes pd makes false advertisements, its more a marketing commercial product, albeit a very nice one. Gts already was very good with a controller. And gamers who use a controller often find it hard to appreciate games like ac, acc. And feel the more subtil nuances. And comparing both with a wheel is sure to favor ac, acc type sims.
From the first time I played acc a few months back I aint played gt7 at all. Force feedback and the physics imo are mich better, it is a bit complex and not really a plug and play game at the beginning due to all the setups but the racing is so much more realistic.

I’m hoping for VR support in ACC Evo but not likely. I don’t follow what you mean about fuel ?
@@mjbrtn1192 I mean that in GT7 you drive with 100% fuel and in ACC you 'can' drive with 25% fuel. Maybe that's where the 0.4 difference lies?
You know what, I’ll have to double check. I’m pretty certain in ACC it’s actually 10L fuel in Hotlap mode and no fuel gets used. Good spot 👍
