When in the car pause the sim, go into the menu for display and you can change the camera settings. You can turn off the wheel there. You have to do this when in the car and driving (or in the pits)

Appreciate the feedback. I actually tried this in another video. Surprisingly difficult to watch both at the same time as your eyes tend to focus on one car at a time. But if / when I do another; I’ll give it another go 👍

I don’t remember changing this between the wheel and controller, so I’ll say it’s off.

Sinceramente essendo comunque già complicato guidare con il Joypad io metto 100% , anche perché comunque devi stare attento alle accellerate brusche o alle uscite dalle curve ecc ecc perché se non stai attento perdi il controllo comunque. Quindi direi che ci sta già così a termini di realismo per il joypad.

Do you have the load cell? This is the only way to see that option in wheel settings.

@cesarmuller8962 very good idea. We can use sound to help replace the senses our bodies cannot feel in a sim.

Hi. I run the CSL elite V2 pedal set. I found them harder than the CSL pedals which I used to run at 75-80. With full info display on screen during driving, you should be able to see your inputs on brakes, throttle and steering. I set the BRf at a level that when my default hard press on the pedal is done, that it goes to around 80% braking. I believe this is threshold braking. You can then moderate the pedal with more or less force in the braking zone. Are you’re running the DD Pro base with the v2.5 wheel? In that scenario I can’t think that anything in terms of the FFB would be any different from the stock wheel. What you may want to do is just turn everything to 0 on the DD base, with 6 & 9 in game, then turn each setting up to half and back to 0 once at a time to understand how each setting makes the wheel feel. You may find building your own settings gives you the kind of feeling you are looking for.

Just re-reading this. I like that people are making tweaks and finding their best setup. Still worth making the videos to help. One thing. You mention less undesteer, but I guess you mean less feeling of understeer as we can’t affect the actual handling of the car with FFB 😆❤️

Perhaps I should update the title to GT7 1.5 update in VR changed my perception of what racing titles could be like. Although I don’t think that’s quite so catchy 😉.

GT7 sound is recorded in each car, it's far less synthetic than ACC. If you listen to it with a good 7.1 system, with the volume WAY up, it's amazing. At normal volume levels it sounds average asf.

Funnily enough, that was my starting point in this setup. All dampers etc set to zero with 100 strength. I just found the experience too peaky and jolty, with this lightweight feeling in the straights. The interpolation softens that and the friction adds overall weight. Appreciate the comment and will certainly give it another go sometime. Thanks. 🤩

You’re spot on. GT7 is definitely more forgiving and doesn’t punish mistakes so much so it’s easier to take liberties. Oddly, having driven in ACC for so long I find it really hard to take such liberties in GT7 and as a result I’m slower in GT7 than ACC.

I have it on auto. (Assuming you mean the sensitivity of the wheel)

@@mjbrtn1192 I think they mean controller steering sensitivity in-game. I would also like to know your setting and if you think it impacts force feedback

Sorry. I have no idea. I have looked for ways to do this as the whole scale feels too small to me. Sadly nothing I can find.

I’m hoping for VR support in ACC Evo but not likely. I don’t follow what you mean about fuel ?

@@mjbrtn1192 I mean that in GT7 you drive with 100% fuel and in ACC you 'can' drive with 25% fuel. Maybe that's where the 0.4 difference lies?

You know what, I’ll have to double check. I’m pretty certain in ACC it’s actually 10L fuel in Hotlap mode and no fuel gets used. Good spot 👍

ACC wont ever work in VR on PS5 because the Unreal Engine is terrible for VR. You need a 2000 USD GPU on PC to run ACC in VR. Hope AC Evo does it better.

I think possible you’re not in advanced mode. The button to the left of the display, if you hold that for 3 or more seconds it should say changing to advanced mode. That should do it.

Hi. No updates as of May but I was racing last night and the wheel still feels good to me. I’ll have a look next time I can drive and see if anything warrants changing. 👍

Hi, not sure I know a solution but I would have the below questions / thoughts to see what we can figure out. Presume you’re using the DD Pro Base and these exact settings both on the wheel and in game settings? Do you have the standard DD Pro wheel and if so, does it still do the same thing? Does it happen in every car or just specific car classes? If you increase FFB Interpolation, does it reduce the problem? Let’s go from there and hopefully I can think of something.

Yes. Crossplay was introduced. I don’t know when, but it certainly revitalised the lobbies. Highly recommend tuning on crossplay in the menu and taking a look.

I see no reason that they wont, although the weighting might not be right. My understanding is that the extreme is many Nm more but this in principle is for better wheel acceleration and therefore detail. I’d recommend dropping turn FFB strength down as a starting point and go from there.

Confirming that I did use M6x25mm bolts for mounting the front of the pedals.

I agree. gt7 just looks more real and sounds better and more real. plus cars feel better.

@michaelschneider1365 I would say GT7 is designed better for a controller than a wheel. Crazy when the DDPro was promoted at the best device for GT7. In ACC the DDPro is very good at describing what the car is doing. GT7 not so much. I love both but for the driving, not graphics or sound etc. but pure driving. It’s ACC for me.

​@mjbrtn1192 exactly. They are both good at what is their main focus i guess. Except sometimes pd makes false advertisements, its more a marketing commercial product, albeit a very nice one. Gts already was very good with a controller. And gamers who use a controller often find it hard to appreciate games like ac, acc. And feel the more subtil nuances. And comparing both with a wheel is sure to favor ac, acc type sims.

I’d look at FFB Interpolation. That’s a kind of filter that softens the peaks down. Try turning it up by maybe 10 point and seeing if it removes the issue. Then dial it back to a level you’re happy with 👍

In truth I have no idea. I didn’t do it on purpose. I’ll take a look. And try to replicate it. It may be that it’s because I’m driving in Assetto Corsa. I’ll take a look. A suggestion for you is that you could get some slightly opaque / Matt sellotape and cut it nice and lay it over the LED’s. That would soften the light somewhat I think.

How many laps have you done at 98? It can take several and you have to be really consistent with the line. No braking. Hope it pops soon !

@@mjbrtn1192 well its interesting because on the rating tab at the home screen it says its at 99 but in a session it says 98 this game is confusing😭
