Hands down the best fly fishing TH-camr out there. Anyone who watches can feel how genuine and passionate you are about the fish and conservation. Keep it up!
I wanted to take a moment to express my sincere gratitude for the incredible fishing video you produced. Watching it was nothing short of a transformative experience for me. As I sat and immersed myself in the scenes unfolding before me, memories of my childhood trout fishing adventures with my dad and grandpa came rushing back with a flood of nostalgia. It was a powerful reminder of the joy and connection that fishing brought to our family. Your dedication to your craft and your ability to evoke such powerful emotions through your work is truly commendable. You have inspired me to reignite my love for trout fishing and to create new memories with my loved ones, just like the ones you so beautifully captured in your video.
Thanks Mike for inspiring me to get into fly fishing through these Driftless videos. I’ve been going out there for a little over 2 years now and have made countless memories with my Dad.
I just got into trout fishing. You are an inspiration for my fishing trips. Thank you for being you. Wi driftless all the way! Would love to go fishing with you!
I can't thank you enough for the filming that you do and your stewardship towards this lifestyle. You are gifted in so many ways, but your ability to tell a story is brilliant. Thank you for sharing this beautiful "Driftless" Video.
hello this has to be the most enjoyable longest trout fishing video i have seen on tube love every minute many blessings may all for journey be filled with joy peace and much mindfulness. TIGHT LINES ALWAYS thank you for sharing TIGHT LINES
Thank you, I live in the Driftless, and as much as I dont want other people fishing my holes, I very much respect your words about our area. I also live in Madison
If your holes are on private land then you have nothing to worry about! It's a good thing there is a lot of public ground for anglers to access the beauty of the Driftless.
This makes me feel like I'm home again. I'm on the eastern side of Wisconsin now which just seems like a trout desert. I grew up in Sauk county and trounced around all over Vernon, Richland and Monroe county fishing. I miss it so much. Thank you for this
@@FLYALLSZN My first real trip will be 7 days the first week of May. I have been out late April the last couple years. It was cold with snow and rain. Hopefully conditions may be better this year.
Started watching your videos back where it all started., the Driftless. Enjoy all your videos but my favorite place to fish is the Wisconsin Driftless. I'm from CT but make the trip every year. This Oct. It will be Iowa. Your passion is contagious. Thanks.
Great video!!! That last river you fished in Minnesota where you saw all the crayfish is the spot I saw the biggest brown of my life,.. I was wading back to where I started the day after fishing for about 5 hours in the middle of the river .. the water was clear as could be and bright blue sky and this brown swam by me very slowly like he could give a rip that I was there...he would swim by and then a little farther he would swim by again and again... I was shaking he was so big and I've seen some big trout over the years...I'm thinking close to 30 inches or more.... anyhow love your videos and keep it rolling....
Shorts get more views. I could care less. I love these videos that let you actually get an immersive experience that makes you wanna go fishing tomorrow! And couldn't agree more about wild fish. I'd rather catch an itty bitty that is wild than a 12 inch stocker any day.
Wow awesome catches! I didn't think you can catch so many trout in small stream one spot. Cool your job is working on a farm 🚜 awesome! Hard working job but you can enjoy the outdoors 😎
You want to talk about a beaver problem. in 2020, I landed 1400 trout, 2023 only 548. I fished nearly the same amount of hours and streams. I know there are 4-5 year peak cycles, weather conditions etc.Beaver dams are out of control in Wisconsin presently. If you don't know where the top and bottom dams are, you will only catch a few landlocked fish. Above and below you can do some damage, which can lead to problems with poaching.I have been pushing this issue to side this winter.I found 9 dams on one the better spring creeks last year that were not there last year. Many of my go-to spots had dams that weren't there the previous 3 years.I will be reaching out to the fisheries biologists and managers today, finally. If this isn't addressed and dealt with it won't matter how much structure or improvements are made on any of the streams. Anyway, keep up the great work.
Same in Iowa. I fished a creek last week that used to have fast water and riffles about every 50 yards. Now it's just a series of multiple beaver dams and ponds of dirty, stagnant water. In a couple areas the trees had been virtually clear cut. The day was a complete skunk. Very sad to see. Could sure use some flooding rains to flush it all out.
@@tenkaraintheiowadriftless That’s no good for the streams, unfortunately that’s the best we can hope for. I put in a message today to a fisheries manager in the area. I will be reaching out to the others in different counties.
@@FLYALLSZN The general attitude towards beavers in the Driftless has been that it has little effects on the streams and trout. That’s definitely not the case up in northern Wisconsin. They are detrimental to cold water resources. There is a constant battle tearing down dams and trapping out the nuisance beavers.
I get it. The driftless has my heart. There is magic there. The fish are just 1 piece of it. The plants, the rocks, the people! Are you moving there full time?
Greetings from Norway, small advice is that In Norway/Europe on such a clean small Streams we don't use indicators, we try to go as light as possible and we focus on presentation a lot. :)
I can say I’ve fly fished off my kayak in moving water and the most difficult part was keeping steady especially after hooking up and yeah falling in was definitely falling over was a possibility.
I really enjoy your videos, especially the ones here in Missouri. Thank you for the hard work you do to put these together. I do have a question for you, but I don't see an email in the video details or on your website. Is there some way I can reach out to you?
Great video. I finally had a chance to watch such a great video. Question do you ever forage while you’re out chasing the trout.? What editing software do you use for your videos?
When did you fish South Pine in this video? Iowa fisherman here and I have been to South Pine a bit and last I heard Iowa DNR wants all Browns caught removed
I think I misunderstood. You help Blake on farm while you visited Blake. You're Dad has business you working underneath your Dad and doing work on computer 🖥. Either way you have awesome time to traveling fishing and working job on computer

This was filmed about two years ago, so I have seen it get worse on the Iowa side over the years. They sure can take over quick!

❤ Strength and Honor
Best part of this video you had time to spend with your parents and fish! PLUS YOU ALL LIKE KU Rock Chalk KU
Man, I miss the Midwest.
Mike, I haven’t started tying yet. Do you know of anywhere I can buy these adjustable dry droppers?
The driftless is becoming clickable and trendy. Sad kinda to see also nice to see it get its recognition.
What are you wearing for a wading setup at the 22:30 mark? I’m near the driftless and it get too hot and muggy for “regular” types of waders.
Leggings with just some shorts over them. Super breathable but keeps the poison ivy and wild parsnip off your bare skin

yeah, they do. they have it listed on their website.
that first spot u went can we accessed from some public to the west and u wont have to cross the upper i
Man be careful of that wild parsnip while wearing shorts out there!
I only got smoked a couple of times!
Where do you fish in wisconsin
Mostly in the driftless region!
Have you ever fished the rush river
What do you do for work?
I think I misunderstood. You help Blake on farm while you visited Blake. You're Dad has business you working underneath your Dad and doing work on computer 🖥. Either way you have awesome time to traveling fishing and working job on computer
You get caught without a mullet when fishing the Driftless, they shoot at you.......😊
Bro I'm going to hosting an outdoor adventure show. And maybe guys like to be a guest. Look me up.
Question: Barbless
Two years!! I'm out!
what are those awesome tight pants you have on
Just some Nike compression pants!
A drift-less zone is a meandering, non-navigable section of stream that you cannot float.
Were you being sarcastic or do you really think’ that?
