GREAT CONTENT!! Let me just share to these quotes that I like, "Focus on being productive instead of busy." -Tim Ferriss and "Sometimes, things may not go your way, but the effort should be there every single night."
Hi! Thank you so much for this content! It’s really helpful! I just discovered the channel. I have been struggling with organizing references for my PhD. I’ve watch the video you did on that. That’s the 3rd one in a raw.hahaha. Please I just had a question: how do you deal with impromptu events or situation when you’ve got your schedule well organized? Thank you! Looking forward to your answer.
Hey! I love your videos! I want to major in psychology or neuroscience. When I study, I feel like I never feel satisfied about what I’m doing. No matter how hard I study, how much I work on things, and how much I plan things, I always feel like I’m wasting time. Can you make a video about dealing with feelings like this. How do I feel satisfied with my work/studies?
Love your videos!! Really helping me tackle my Masters. Would you consider sharing your tips on writing up methods (and helping me understand the difference between methods and methodolgy :?) Thanks
Thank you so much!! I have just written my methods up and I would say the best way to tackle them is to make it as clear as possible with all the necessary details for someone to repeat the work, but without being too detailed (like "Incubated blot for 5.5 minutes, 6.2 minutes and 5.4 minutes"). I write my methods in the past tense too :)
I have a question. I’m in my third year of a BSc in Pharmacology and due to the pandemic, we only have 2hrs contact time and the rest is independent study (plus dissertation work). Would it be best for me to set aside 2x4 h blocks (8:30-12:30 and 13:00-17:00) for “uni work” and have a to-do list with my daily lectures/tasks or schedule the lectures and have a separate colour block for independent study time? Thank you if you reply ❤️
Maybe I missed sth, but when/how do you schedule time for things like cleaning/washing the dishes/doing laundry etc.? For me, those things are amongst the most energy draining activities (thanks to depression and OCD, yay, thanks, brain).
I do my cleaning/laundry on a Saturday and my dishes I do as I cook (a habit I drilled in when I lived in uni halls!). You could use time blocking for these things if you struggle to get them done. Plan in advance when you will clean etc and it could help!
I really struggle with this because of living at home and looking after the household (all cooking and cleaning), I feel like I can't have my own schedule but I need to get my PhD done. Do I just need to be a bit more firm do you think?
I completely get you - when I was working from home it was harder to set strict boundaries. I moved all my housework to the weekend (when I don't do any PhD work) and batch cook on a Sunday. If you use your best hours for work (mine are the morning), I get so much more done!
Hi , I need your help please . I have just started bsc in chemistry . What should my pathway be to build a career in neuroscience? Is a chemistry background good for neuroscience? Please help ma’am 🙏

Love them! Effort is key and having a schedule which enables you to show up is such a help! Thank you so much :)
Set this video to double speed for extra productivity
Love it haha
Very helpful as usual thanks Julia :) - this scheduling method doesn't look or feel overwhelming either
Ah Definitely one of my favorite methods of time management, everyone should be doing this even if it's for one task a day ❤
Ahh so glad you are finding this method useful! Starting with one task is a great way to start!
This is a great video! Good explanation, thank you.
You can start from 3:50
Thanks - I have put timestamps in now!
