    I have been shooting this bow for 6 weeks or so and I am truly impressed. It is very smooth, quiet, shootable and pretty easy to tune. I don't think you could find a better bow anywhere near this price point. I have a couple High end Hoyt's in my shop that are great bows but cost twice as much and honestly don't offer the average hunter anything more than the ADAPT.

    I was about ready to buy this bow.. My Obsession was giving me nightmare paper tears.... Until I watched your "Tune Any Bow" video again and tried tiller tuning... It worked!! Bullet holes!
    Anyway, I have zero doubts on how quiet this bow is.. I shot my Species after I found an issue (I had a "buzz" going on- It was the aftermarket cable slide) and was blown away, again, by how quiet it is!! These Bear single cams are so nice!!! I still may get the Adapt LOL

    If you notice in a few of THP earlier videos they used to shoot Hoyt and couple other kinds but to go along with their message of hunting public land they decided to only partner with companies that were doing more than just making money. Seems like they chose the right partnership with Bear and here we are just a couple years later and they have their own bow with them.

    Got this as my first bow about a month a go and i love it. Its a pretty accurate bow. On a good day i can get a few arrows to touch at 60 yrds at my local out door range. I honestly dont like the feel of a cable stop. As soon as i installed the limb stop it was night and day. The back wall is much tight and i feel it gives me more confidence and consistency. Definitely recommend a side bar with this bow as it tends to favor tilting to the right. Had to try harder to keep the bow centered up bit the sidebar is the ticket. Plan to enter my first 3d tournament in April and see how i do.

    Thanks again for covering these more affordable options. The only "problem" with all these options is all these options. It is difficult to really zero in on the best option. Species, Legit, Alaskan, Legeng Pro or the new Legend XR...now this Adapt looks & sounds very attractive. Of course there are other great brands with there various comparable offerings. The Hoyt Torrex has had my attention for over a year. You and a # of your fellow archery TH-cam channels do an outstanding job of describing, detailing & demonstrating these various bows. But honestly some of us out here are not very well versed or aquatinted with the specs & technology. We just want the best bow for the money to hunt with for many years. Have you done a video that might address this issue. Again, you are providing great info & reviews in a down to earth approach. Well done and thank you.

    Is this not just a species with a few flagship pieces?? I wish Bear would make a faster single cam without decreasing the riser length.

    • @Waty8413
      @Waty8413 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      If a faster single cam could be built Mathews would have stuck with them. They had their heyday but were an evolutionary dead end. I'm not knocking Bear, I shoot one myself, it's just that single cams are not were the current technology is.

    • @interestedmeow
      @interestedmeow 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@borngeechee7621 oh golly gee. My first bow was a Bear. I wanted so bad to buy another one. But at the end of the day, the Paradox is a heavy, unsteady, violent and loud bow whose only saving grace is the speed, and it’s barely enough. If they made an 80lb version, at least they could justify the violence of it. But to slow it down and keep everything else spec is a major mistake and ruins the only good thing about the Paradox.

    Bear 🐻 Archery 🏹 definitely brings the best value in their lineup from top to bottom and that’s not a knock, but a great thing.
    I really like my PRIME Black 3 that I got for $600 last August after using the PSE Fire Flite 33 that you worked on at your Teach N Train, but if I didn’t get such a great deal on my bow and were looking for a new bow that fit in my budget this bow would definitely be high on my list.
    The 7 strings and lack of in field ease of adjustment or being able to fix it without a pro shop bothers me. This one would solve that problem.

    I know it's not popular because of the controversy and they're Chinese but what do you honestly think of sanlida? I just got their new dragon x7, super cheap material wise being a casted riser, pretty bad rest and basic sight. I've had to set the entire bow up by myself because the one bow tech in my area won't touch it... your videos have really helped me, I haven't tried it on paper yet but I have it set to spec and timed perfectly. It will stack arrows at 15 yards and feels pretty good other than only being 30 inch axle length, I draw 29" so my peep is set really high on the string lol it was only 150 usd... would you ever be willing to look at reviewing it? Thank you again for all your videos

    I think Bear gets passed by quite a bit because people become fixated on Mathews or Hoyt. I’ve shot a Cruzer quite a bit as I setup one for my dad. He had open heart surgery years ago and can’t pull much weight but I was pretty impressed by it as an entry level, highly adjustable bow. I was looking at the Adapt, Alaskan and the Whitetail Legend Pro. They’re all pretty close in price for just the bare bow. Also, I’m not that far from you guys I should stop by sometime…you’re about an hour away I’m in Cambria county!

    Talking about the stiffer draw cycle towards the back end, I feel like that is a characteristic of a single cam. It might just be in my head, but I feel that my PSE Drive LT (336 ibo/ata hybrid cam) is a smoother draw than my old Diamond Outlaw (330 ibo/ata single cam).

    • @sahhull
      @sahhull 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      The PSE StingerX single cam isnt stiff at the back end.

    • @bryantitus6634
      @bryantitus6634 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@sahhull the stinger x is a very unaggressive bow and likely this bear would give better arrow speeds real world.
      Nothing wrong with either. I'm shooting a single cam Bear Authority now myself. I am 28" draw and run it at 70lb. 380gr arrows I get 275fps, 410gr I get 266 fps. I get this is not fast by anyone's measure, but it's a super shootable bow with overall very smooth draw cycle. There is that little hump at the back but a big valley and good back wall. It is louder than these newer bear single cams though. I helped set up my sisters boyfriend with his Bear Species, the original '18-'20 version, and it was NOTICEABLE how much better it was than my Authority. It has less hand shock, smoother draw, and just say better. Bunch of small little improvements, mind you 4+ model years newer, over the authority makes a difference. Just more refined in every way. And the Adapt is basically a Species with some fine tuning to the design. It's gotta be a fantastic hunting bow. Sure, it won't be the fastest bow, it won't have the best anything really, but as a total package it will do nothing poorly and be a tremendously good bow for the deer woods.

    I’d love to see you make a video on paper tuning this bow with a bear shaft. I’ve been at it for a week. I’m really struggling and chasing my tail with a 1/4” left tear. Started with a 1-1/8” tear. I’m at a loss. I’ve tried everything imaginable. The only thing I could find to change the 1-1/8” tear was yoke tuning. I put 3 full turns on the left side and removed 3 full turns on the right. I’m thinking about doing another turn but I’ve never had a bow I had to put that many turns in before. Any thoughts?

    • @Bowhunterohio
      @Bowhunterohio 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Have you moved your sight. Moving a sight will really help before going and adjusting the yokes. I’m sure you checked but your arrows are straight right? Have you tried a different arrow or even tried nock tuning the arrow. A lot of things can go into a tear even with the shot. I’m sure you have done all this cause usually one that sets up their own bows have quit a bit of experience. But sometimes it’s the little things that can be a problem. Just saying.

    • @Bowhunterohio

      @@enddockboyoutdoors748 I think he meant move the rest. Moving the sight will have zero impact on actual arrow flight. Moving the rest will improve the tear. I would go so far as to say that you should un-do the yoke tuning adjustments you made, see how much you can clean up with a small rest adjustment, then move on to yoke tuning. You should not have had to add 3 turns on one side and remove 3 on the other. That's seems like a lot. If you are seeing a very noticeable amount of cam/wheel lean due to those adjustments, I would definitely try to correct that.
