Venezuela Luxury Market Shopping Tour 🇻🇪

  • I'm taking you guys into Venezuela's newest and fanciest luxury market. The Venezuela food crisis is now over and such luxury grocery stores are popping up all over the city. I shopped around the market and bought a few things. I was most amazed by the broad selection of alcohol and how cheap scotch whisky is in Venezuela compared to other nations.

That hyperinflation is crazy there. When you mentioned minimum wage I just looked online at professions by country ranking and thought I'd check the cashier salary, so that girl working there serving you makes $213 USD a month on average. So the cheesecake alone is nearly a weeks wage for her. How they get by man is 👏 amazing. Crazy that in this world we can have some people with more personal wealth than a small poor countries GDP and they still want more! Keep it real, keep it humble mate.

With the rise of retail theft here in the US, it would be great, yet somewhat inconvenient, to have employees check the contents vs. the receipt, as shown here. Unfortunately, that is only done mainly at membership type retailers such as Costco/Sam's Club. In the end, it would be better prices for the consumer. Google theft in San Francisco. Things are getting out of control, causing stores to close early or even altogether.

The prices are just a bit more expensive than in the Netherlands (10/15%) but if you then take into account what people earn in Venezuela thats just ridiculous!
Are you gonna do some football stuff too? I know absolutely nothing about Venezuelan football, but I bet its just as great as in the rest of South America.
