It's beautiful. This area takes your heart and never gives it back. I was a charter captain in the Virgin Islands. I still have the secret chart showing anchorages and lobster only the top captains know (me and one other). St John is laid back and remote but it's better in the BVI. You are such an interesting sailor and sweet person - wild and free. Living your dreams with no fear. I have never shared the chart. But I will share it with you. It shows the best anchorages in the US and BVI. Never share with anyone else or the anchorages will be crowded and the lobster gone forever. Great show baby!
Are you not afraid for your safety sailing around out there by yourself? I have never heard you bring that up. You are an inspiration for women. My daughter loves watching you videos.
Don’t be concerned with so much solar power Lauren, you don’t need to use it just because you have it, the batteries will stay fully charged and the solar controller will look after them. Too many overcast days in a row and you may need to conserve power as you may have done before.. loved the beautiful clear water. Have you drifted off to sleep and woken up suddenly in a few seconds of mild panic wondering how long you’ve been asleep and if the boat is on the right course?
Love who you are and what you do. I have a 20 year old daughter who just finished her second year of University.. she hasn’t found her path or purpose yet. She doesn’t see it yet but she is keeping her options limited because of a long term one and only boy. I look at you and I’m so impressed with your ability to be alone and so independent. To not let society’s normal control you. You’re not a sheep just following the herd on auto pilot and wondering why you’re so anxious, depressed and lost like so so many. I feel you’re just a beautiful person Laura.

There's a suction handle device thing used by people that install glass windows, no electricity needed, that I think you could use as a portable handle to suckerfish onto bottom of boat as a handle to hold onto and to stabilize and leverage yourself to clean bottom in the wild.

On the northeast part of St. John, there is a beautiful little cove area that is idyllic at night. It's been 50 years since I was there, so I don't recall the name.

Another good video. Definitely use sunscreen. When I was young, me and my friends didn't know what a shirt was. I'm paying for it now. Even had surgery to remove a basil cancer cell today.
I've been a dog person all my life, but Mako is the best cat ever and is makoing me want a cat. Also, be careful you don't puncture your dinghy as it hangs and swings and rubs on the grey thing at the back of your boat, I'm guessing thats your wind vane? Make sure you visit the Australia when you circumnavigate! You'll love the great barrier reef in Cairns! It's a good place to moor up for a bit of a break too.
