That was LOVELY!!!!!!!! It must be said that I ABSOLUTELY LOVE the SSO!!!!!!!!!!! You are an absolutely INCREDIBLE orchestra!!!!!!!!!
It's no wonder Eddy and Brett wanted to perform with you when they had their concert to celebrate the fact that they had 4 million subscribers on TH-cam, and the ABSOLUTELY phenomenal violinist Chloe Chua agreed to become your artist in residence!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Julie Gill, Glasgow, Scotland.

Gives it a beautiful clarity. The performances just a few years ago of the Brahms piano concertos with a Brahms size orchestra are unforgettable in the way they opened up the music. This music wasn't created for the modern symphony orchestra. I also like that this is played with modern instruments. Chamber ensembles do play these.

I firmly believe that it would sound great even if you play it with 1 player per part i.e. with in total 9 players. (I counted bass line as two players namely a cello and a double bass). I never understand why this is not a common practice for chamber ensembles to widen their repertoire. A third of all symphonies by Haydn and Mozart (and many other composers' from the same era) can be played with this crew. And it sounds great: as an example check Schubert's 5th played by members of Vienna phil. available on TH-cam as sound recording. It sounds heavenly.
Thanks for the lovely performance and upload.

Oh we have that too :) th-cam.com/video/ysFh2U3YyAk/w-d-xo.html
It's interesting how the pandemic made these circumstances "possible". In any case, thank you for your kind words!

@@singaporesymphony thank you for sharing, I rather meant a performance of the work with 1 instrument per part like:

Yours is lovely too, goes without saying :)
      All the best!
