What a mesmerizing performance by Chloe Chua and He Ziyu! Their rendition of the presto finale of Mozart's Sinfonia Concertante is truly enchanting. The seamless synergy between the Singaporean violinist and the Berlin-based artist, both former winners at the Menuhin Competition, adds a delightful touch to the music. The one thing I LOVE about Chloe, apart from her IMMENSE TALENT, is the fact that she has NOT allowed all of the attention she receives go to her head ONE IOTA!!!!!! Are they sure Ling Ling doesn't work for 80 hrs a day instead of just 40? Julie Gill, Glasgow, Scotland.
Just wonderful and brilliant. If one didn't know who was performing this, they would have likely thought of two people about triple the age of these kids!
I seem to remember Chloe or her mother saying that they were thinking that Chloe might study in Austria. I wonder whether they were exploring in particular the idea that Chloe might follow in Ziyu's footsteps, and attend the Mozarteum.
I remember that too. ZiYu spent over a decade studying in Salzburg and the environs. Not only did he receive an excellent musical education, I presume he is now fluent in German and some other languages. At his very young age, he is now in a position to teach others. Think he graduated with a Masters Degree from Mozarteum. Hopefully Chloe and her parents have had an opportunity to hear his insights. 😊

Agree with you and seem to vaguely remember that very unfortunate incident, except those things are happening across the world. What ZiYu, especially, and Chloe have in common are followings in China and a potential for inspiring many young people there to pursue a musical career or just to embrace classical music. It was astounding to listen to a Chinese music critic critique Chloe's performance of Poeme, treating her like a professional musician and discussing the need to understand the sensibilities of French culture in Chausson's time.
