Yes, I had a few close calls, once I even hit a small deer but not a full hit, just a brush basically since it almost completely cleared the bike before I touched it with my wheel. I ride slower at dusk and dawn and at night, when animals are more active. But yes, there's still some risk left. Which I'm fine with though. My chances of survival would only be marginally higher when hitting a deer at speed limit compared to hitting it with speeds above the limit. And if I'd want to ride in a way that's completely safe I think I couldn't exceed something like 40 kph. Crossing animals unfortunately is one of the ugliest parts of riding motorcycles :(

Dang that was quick! Loving those 1st gear gurgles. A few questions: How do you deal with the cold? Those test rides without heated grips must suck. This or street triple rs? We all wanna know! What's the better daily rider, weekend bike, and track bike?
Thanks Jello!! I'm wearing several layers which works rather well. Good winter gloves - which I currently don't have - also help but to some degree the cold hands unfortunately are part of the experience. But fortunately when riding while working there's enough breaks without any riding which always gives you a chance to warm up your hands. I'd need a direct comparison opportunity to make a decent verdict. Considering daily rides though I'd prefer the Triumph because it works smoother in the low revs.
@@GATTOAUTISTICO basically everywhere the Triumph is the better value for money, but I'd like to know from Schaaf his riding perspective. I've only ridden the striple, not the monster.
Hello Jello!! I have no idea where your comment went! Weird, I even remember replying to it! Anyway :D I think the Monster is better when things get fast. Its suspension is superior and therefore makes it easier to ride very precise. But in all other aspects the Triumph is better. It's easier to control smoothly and it's friendlier down in the low revs. I'd have no idea which one to choose but probably the Ducati because its suspension does indeed feel phenomenal

Dang that was quick! Loving those 1st gear gurgles.
A few questions:
How do you deal with the cold?
So what do u think about the sound ?
it's not very exciting
The first 7min have more twisties than my whole country
too bad ;)
2:48 damn, that was a close one.
No idea what you're talking about
R9T oder Monster oder 890 Duke R?
Ich tendiere zur R9T. 😅
The brembo brakes and ohlins suspension is perfect,
exhaust sound is the one i dont like
Yea
It's better with a full racing system. They offer it for a price.
Still waiting for the day you get your hands on a MV Agusta
me too
Hey I left a comment on the original video asking about cold weather and this or the street triple rs, could you reply to it again?
Street triple rs:
12.895€ (where i live)
130 hp
80nm
15 lt fuel tank
188kg kerb weight
Brembo stylema brakes & mcs radial pump
Ducati monster sp:
15.390€
111 hp
93 nm
14 lt fuel tank
186kg kerb weight
Brembo stylema brakes & radial pump
I’d personally go for the Triumph
@@GATTOAUTISTICO basically everywhere the Triumph is the better value for money, but I'd like to know from Schaaf his riding perspective. I've only ridden the striple, not the monster.
Hello Jello!! I have no idea where your comment went! Weird, I even remember replying to it! Anyway :D
I think the Monster is better when things get fast. Its suspension is superior and therefore makes it easier to ride very precise. But in all other aspects the Triumph is better. It's easier to control smoothly and it's friendlier down in the low revs. I'd have no idea which one to choose but probably the Ducati because its suspension does indeed feel phenomenal
@@Schaaf thanks for the reply!
Hi Schaaf, how would you compare it against the DUKE 890R? (without considering the price)
Hi Shaff, sometimes when you were in high rpms and downshift u don’t fill the rear sliding ?
A little bit maybe
how do u ride that hard with that cold wet tarmac?? pls give me technical explaination PLSSS
it just has to be good tarmac like the one in this video
how's these new tires?
Great
Jeez you can ride🫨
thanks
Looks and sounds great, but I'm guessing you had even more fun on the MT-10?
probably
is it absolutely necessary to shift into first gear in some corners?
no it is not, only if you want to destruct the engine quickly
Gregor!!!🤙
:D
STRELL raid
This one sounds like an MZ from the 90-s for me. Surprised that this is a terminogi. O.o Any way thank sfor the vid...
Modern emission laws are hitting hard ;)
@@Schaaf indeed... indeed... :(
Where is this road at sir?
Costa Brava. Somewhere near Barcelona.
What is your video quality?
4K
@@Schaaf thanks
how does this compare against the ktm duke 890 r?
well
@@Schaaf how does the engine feel on this compared to the 890r?
Is des Heisl so lang übersetzt in da erstn oda woooos
sowieso
Great riding as usual. The more Euro 5 comes into play, the worse twins sound. This sounds terrible! One of the few times I couldn't be bothered wathcing the whole vid.
true that. Although Ducati is doing especially bad sound-wise with EURO-5. Other manufacturers still offer great sound
❤❤❤
Thanks
Stoopid question: is it possible to money shift a quickshifter, or is it smart enough to not do that? I can imagine a twitchy foot banging down in to first when you meant to only get 2nd.
As long as you don't suffer from uncontrollable spasms that doesn't happen
Love my Monster SP but gosh they cost a lot.
Indeed
Tasty!
thanks
Looks like a realy fun bike, lookwise it's not for me tho.
thanks
sounds like a parallel twin with no cat
thanks
Trellis frame and desmodromic valves left the chat..
Still desmo.
Lol
