I am right in the beginning stages as you have talked about where I am experimenting with my videos... Really trying to narrow down what works and what doesnt. Its almost frustrating because I like a lot of different things but trying to nail it down further than what I have is proving to be difficult because I have so many ideas that I try to get on video
I am going to go attend some public events which are in my niche. Covering a trade show. Yesterday I registered at the trade show and today they accepted my reg as "Working Media" - YAY! :)
The hook at the beginning said it is content that hasn't been shared before. Then, spent multiple min sharing a beginner tip to hit the record button. This channel seems to be not willing to either 1: share advanced topics that help like FilmBooth and others do, Or, 2, isn't capable of getting to that level. If it's #1, consider being willing to convert your business model to more of a coaching business and actually freely share advanced topics like thumbnail strategies and good hooks. Your advantage is the size of your company. Right now, it feels very sales pitch-like. I'm thinking about unsubscribing.
To all small TH-camrs like me. Don’t compare yourself To others, we don’t always need to be ahead of someone else we know. Sometimes it’s not our time just yet, be patient and keep moving. Good luck 😃
So true because someone who has worked on video editing, creating thumbnails and everything else for years all adds up. One step at a time and all of a sudden you realise wow ive learnt so much by simply trying different things, the only person to compare ourselves to is ourselves where we were yesterday and try to do something even better today 🙏💖
If you are small still, chances are you will stay that way all your TH-cam career.. there are 10 “TH-camrs” literally in your own neighbourhood.. TH-cam is for first movers and/or genuinely talented/different creators
I love the quote you stated at the beginning(1:50), "If you try to reach everybody, you'll end up reaching nobody." Its crazy how much truth is in this.
Holy crap I started my youtube channel for the 3rd but this time I took your advice to the letter watched all your videos and its actually working went from 10 to 30 views a month to 1.6k in 3 weeks not massive but wanted to say thank you its nice when you put work in and you start to see it get results im hope to hit 30k by the end of the year thanks Sean keep going ❤
I've had a good start. My advice is just enjoy it. Passion will die down. Do something you enjoy. My channel was made in the likeness of and for my grandkids. I enjoy what I'm creating. It's been effortless!
I’ve come to the conclusion that it’s not too late to start YouTub. As long as you’re not going to do it like everyone else. TH-cam has changed dramatically in the past three months. You absolutely must be a great storyteller and have a great topic. People have no allotment for extra time to give for a less than great video.
Believe in yourselves and each other and never give up on your dreams and aspirations and remember to be kind and uplifting to each other and open minded and genuine and respectful and humble.
Thank you this has been useful. 2024 is the year to build my channel slowly but surely without AI or social media using good ol’ fashioned ways such as consistent videos, community growth and just being nice to everyone. Enjoying the process. Most of all, i just have a lot of fun making and editing the videos but what I’m missing is “what’s, why and who’s it for?” Let’s see how I go.
For all who reading this... You will achieve your goal, don't give up. Remember, success is not final, failure is not fatal - it's the courage to continue that counts
I love my channel as I am very passionate about what I share on it. I spend a lot of time planning and researching each video. Then more time shooting and editing it. But I would not have it any other way! Thank you for your advice. I am always learning.
I watched a video of Rabbi talking about how they teach their children for business. In it he said, "we teach our children to search out what is needed in the area and then do that thing." Its simple and profound. Its reverse engineering at its greatest level. In our case its find out what your audience wants and then do that.
@@prettypraline There is a lot of advice on TH-cam about faceless channels. Use the words " faceless channels" when you search on TH-cam and you'll see tons of helpful videos come up.
I have over 2,000 hours in just 2 months so it CAN be done. For myself, it was content and clean, cohesive thumbnails. Views and Total Hours are going very well...however, my struggle is with gaining subscribers, so I really appreciate this video on that topic. Best wishes EVERYONE!
Subscribed guys! I started kids faceless TH-cam Channel about two months ago. Already reached 4k Watch time and 690 subscribes, I'm very happy with the results :) Just want to add I am startring from 0 knowledge about editing and TH-cam but did Hours and I mean HOURS of research and I'm lovin it! My kids are my motivation!
You guys share so much valuable information it’s insane. If I were to join a course it would definitely be whatever you’re offering because everything you say makes complete sense and provides clarity which is rare.
Wished there's a way I can give a 'like' to each sentences you guys said. Your thoughts and words are applicable to every business today, even beyond TH-cam... that's awesome!
This video is absolutely fantastic! From start to finish, it captivated my attention and left me wanting more. The content was engaging, well-presented, and highly informative. The visuals were stunning, with crisp and vibrant imagery that brought the subject matter to life. The editing was seamless, ensuring a smooth flow of information and keeping me hooked throughout. Additionally, the audio quality was superb, allowing me to fully immerse myself in the video's message. Overall, this video was a true delight to watch, and I highly recommend it to anyone looking for an enjoyable and enriching viewing experience
Love the content you guys make just started following last week! Starting last week I got serious about my channel TH-cam is the future for creators and the content tent I’m already producing makes great shorts. Currently working on better long form content and inspiring creative content. Thanks again to you and the team!
Thanks for sharing this! The last part really hit home with me…have a whole list of video ideas but finding the ambition to dig out the camera and start making the videos has been a struggle.
Really loved the TINY HABITS part of this podcast. All of it is great but I really loved that part! Thanks guys! .....I was wanting to ask about Heather. I haven't seen her lately.
I changes my niche 5times. I should have watched this video earlier or I needed to face with my mistakes. In both ways, I have clear vision now thanks to ThinkMedia Podcast
Own it. As I rebrand, I realize what my errors are: I'm a writer. BUT...transitioning to speaker, I feel myself cringing. Self critic/edit. I watched a video I thought I'd put up, but, I typically spoke off cuff. I took notes. I am preparing an edited version. I realize, instead of paper and pen, my video becomes a faster mode, BUT...the rules of writing apply. Back to your statement: why watch. I am going to write, "OWN IT," where I can see it. Last comment: Hair statement: hilarious, "because so true!" The glutinous maximus comment: my communication theory professor handed us a paper sketched with a variety of rear end shapes. We were to pick out the power shape. Whole study about rear end and power. It is a muscle, but gluteous implies gluten, fatty build up, hence laziness, or motivated.
John 3:16 For God so loved the world, that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him shall not perish, but have eternal life God loves you *
Maybe it’s me, but I’ve tried so many things to get my channel going. I work hard on my thumbnails, I’m finally getting the hang of tags, I’m trying so hard to perfect my lighting and make sure my content is good. After a month and a half, I’m at only 13 subscribers. I’m trying to remember that this is a marathon and not a sprint, but ALL of my videos are absolutely tanking. 😩
Same here. I've done many videos and get som comments, but the channel isn't going anywhere really. I'm right there with you. I'm starting to think maybe it's the content that is not interesting or funny or entertaining.
So, Michelle I just watched your last 2 videos and I suppose that’s where the improvements are so I wanted to check that out. Please hunnie, I’m just trying to help cause I’m a new TH-camr too, barely three months into putting up content and I’d appreciate it if someone did this for me. So, don’t be offended. Here goes: - you’re not connecting with your few viewers. The reason is cause you’re looking at yourself at the phone screen and not into the camera hole. I feel passive about your content. - Your intro is too long. Intros are cute but it’s for people who’ve already created a fan base. By the time the intro is over, everyone has clicked out. Then the welcoming just stretches things further. Just jump into the video! Nobody knows you and if what you’re going to say will be interesting enough so get to it as quick as possible and keep them watching with your amazing wit and dropping knowledge, quick quick! Now, when TH-cam notices the few people who clicked on your video clicked out so fast, TH-cam doesn’t push out your content atall so nobody sees it. But if you can get at least 30% of your viewers to stay at least 3 minutes into the video, you’ll see that your impressions( no. of people who see your videos on home screens or suggested) will increase. I wish you the absolute best. In this struggle, we’re together! ❤
@@Didiecurls Great observations. We always think we have checked off all the boxes but that's usually not the case. There's always something left to be done.
@FrdearickaMichelle - Always remember that YT can take time. Don't compare your beginning with other people's middle. Follow the instructions, get in the right mindset BEFORE recording, and wait. Also, when looking at other people's millions of subscribers, remember there are bots, fake subscribers, fake accounts, etc, etc. Time will tell.
@@Didiecurls Wow! Thank you so very much for your help. No one has given me such great constructive criticism and I really do appreciate it! I’m definitely not offended. I’m grateful for you actually watching my videos and telling me what I’m doing wrong than for someone to just see my mistakes and keep allowing me to make them. Thank you so very much! 🙏🏾
Thank you for this podcast. I have a small channel, am 58 years old. Is that possible to use simple words to those steps you are mentioning? The first one, the word alone “reverse engineering” is somehow intimidating. It’s somehow untouchable, unreachable and tedious like a whole university degree. I don’t know how many small creators like me feels the same. Being a creator is difficult and I think simplicity is important . Engineering is too corporate and too much trying to impress even the underlying idea could be labeled more simpler. But I’m grateful for all the work your channel do. Take care.
@ I think this video would be one of the best on your channel, I really appreciate and thank you for doing the hard work showing us what to do, now I know what i want.
How long do you keep pursuing the same niche until you go, maybe my audience wants something different? Like for example I’m a NASM CPT and train clients so naturally I did a YT on fitness. But I also love Disney and whenever I post any Disney theme over the years those got more likes/subscribers etc..I just don’t know if I can go to Disney enough to keep up with content.
