Don't think any diver is really that original. They all take some form of inspiration from another company. I really love how the light plays with the bracelet and head of the watch. Build looks great. Nice review 👍
I love the hexmariner. But I really don't want another NH35 watch. They need to either use a pt5000/miyota 9xxx 4hz movement, or a vh31 and I'm going to buy one straight away.
Bang on comment. This design is OUTSTANDING! PT/SW/Myota 9000 high best movements would be so much better in these. Hopefully they offer the option down the road.
Yes, I agreed full heartedly with the NH35 movement otherwise a very high quality finish watch. Maybe they should provide the Miyota 9 series movement as an option. 🎉
I was lucky enough to purchase a prerelease prototype version of the Purple M.O.P mosaic dial from a watch reviewer in the UK. It is my favourite Sub homage watch to date. The dial looks amazing in person; the transitions from one hexagonal tile to the next are so smooth that it's often difficult to see where one ends & another begins. The bracelet is beautifully faceted, allowing wonderful light play as the sun catches one of the perfectly polished sides. It isn't without its issues, as others have already said the bezel action is far too light, I've managed to knock it on every occasion I've worn it, so I would argue that it isn't the watch to rely on to time your dive adventures!!! I understand the argument against screw pins on a dive watch bracelet. However, the bezel already precludes this from being used as a practical dive watch, so why not make life easier on the buyer and make adjusting the bracelet easier!? What's more, all it takes is a little loctite to prevent the screw pins from working themselves loose! As much as I appreciate seikos reliable, if a little too ubiquitous, movements they are only 3hz, so I personally would have preferred the option of a smoother seconds hand with the use of a 4hz Miyota movement. Overall, the positives far outweigh the negatives, at $345 with the on-the-fly micro adjustment, I think it offers one of the best deals for such a beautiful watch!! Bravo Revelot, address the issues mentioned, upgrade the movement to 4hz a second, and this would be an absolute bargain even at $500!!
Bi color looks amazing. But why they still stick to the NH35? It had it's time but the market moved on. A good Myota 9000 series would benefit this watch so much. Slimmer and nicer sweep.
thank you! Most of what you are paying for goes to unique molds that are very expensive to make which a lot of people do not know. Homage molds that are shared across multiple factories are cheap and you see them everywhere.
This brand seems to have some genuinely good watches but has 3 major issues 1) Most of the good watches on their website are out of stock and they seem to stock these watches with very very limited availability 2) Most of the good dials that you like and the ones that are really unique seems to be in smaller size (36 and 40mm). They should have a 44mm or bigger dial size available for all models. 3) Pricing is really weird and random. Almost similar watches(same models and similar designs) have quite significantly different prices while results in cheaper ones getting sold out and the similar models with higher prices remain in stock.
Thank you for your feedback. this is because we tend to make them in batches and we rarely restock the same color. The price will then be reliant on the current date of order, as you are probably aware of the recent volatility in USD prices, those will affect our final price depending on the time of launch.
Interestingly enough, the NH35a is made in Malaysia, Seiko built a factory here many years ago. The case and bracelet are made in China. QC and warehouse is in Malaysia.
I was interested enough to go to their website which isn't working . Another annoying design with dead links to these watches. Is it just me? The initial offer looks a lot like another bait and switch, with a minimal quantity available at the good price.
Complete waste of time, having the watch in your cart doesn't reserve it. Purple mosaic sold out before I could enter my card details. They also must have broken up the "30" pieces by clasp and strap type, so realistically there were maybe 15 glide locks available. I wanted to give you my money Revelot for a stunning dial, but all I was left with is a bad first impression.
Much prefer watches that tip their hats in design as a true homage, rather than the photocopied design bordering on replicas that often churns out from AliExpress brands
The mosaic MOP one is gorgeous! Both the watch AND the bracelet. I do agree with other commenters, that NH35 , while being a solid movement is overused these days, which frankly gets boring. Putting inside something like a hi-beat Miyota 9100 series would of course raise the final price quite substantially, but as a result you would get a pretty thin and elegant watch with smooth second hand sweep... Now, that would be perfection. As to bracelet screws - yeah, they like to unscrew themselves. On my Cronos watch the one next to clasp comes out every now and then. But that's what purple or blue Loctite is for😁 I hate pin-and-collar system with passion...
This for me is an actual homage. Something like the San Martin Water Ghost is not a homage, it's a fake in all but branding and Rolex would win a court case against them. If you doubt that Google Panerai intellectual property case and look at what was decided in court to be a counterfeit watch, different logo and brand, different size and proportions, still deemed illegal. The only real difference between it and a full on fake is it took a court case to decide whereas it just takes a keen eye to see a real fake.
usually dive watches are not my thing, however these do look pretty nice ,the dials are very interesting . Although I could use that bracelet on another watch, not the two tone one though i,m really not a fan of them
Don't get me wrong, it's not bad at all. But if their goal was to create a watch with Submariner proportions, they got it wrong. Relatively, the dial openings are clearly smaller than the Submariner's.
Given it shares basically nothing design wise with the rolex means it's 100% not a Homage. Homage is basically a nice word for copy and most the time that is what homages are in a copy of the real thing but without the branding on it which would make it a fake counterfeit if it did. I mean you even had it next to the rolex while telling us it's a homage....Even you should see its nothing like it. So if I said my Seiko divers are rolex homages because its a diver would you agree? Because really the only thing it has in common with the rolex is its a diver watch. It's a good looking watch that does not need to say anything about a rolex because that actually downplays it's design so much making that claim.
These watches become available on the 12th
And how do you sneak it past the wife...?

Yes, this is a fantastic homage....very creative
Ðoxa divers are fairly unique. All the others look much the same.

Putting in a Miyota 9000 and making it 1-2mm slimmer makes any watch feel 100 times more premiumon the wrist
I bought a Tandorio pilot just to get the PT5000, Watchdives milsub should have PT5000.
Agreed, nh35 is a crap movement IMO... Have 4 watches with that movement, all crap

Thank you very much Gary for the awesome review yet again! Great camera lenses and lighting as always :)
Always a pleasure!
The yellow one looks as if it was designed by a bee! 🐝
Buzz buzz buzz

The purple dial is incredible, cool to see something original (although I really like the classic watch homages)
Wow! A submariner homage but with octagons! This is absolutely brilliant. I’m going to buy all of them.

I’m in love with that purple dial. That case back decoration is pretty nice too.
MOP with hexagon mosaic, it's very nice!

Only the overly shiny ceramic bezel that doesnt appeal - the bracelet links are stunning !

That's a Submariner meeting a F-117
Will revelot be restocking these??
They’ve only just gone on sale, if they sell out then I don’t think you’ll see them on here again.
Yellow… stunning
yup it is very nice but I can't look past the MOP one.
Perhaps i'm bias but there are so many better watches on the Vintage Japanese watch Co in the $300 dollar range i'd pick up first.

Hello Gary, it looks like more a Sea dweller to me in the proportions but in a small diameter

Sugess still the best hommage of Sub.Period!
can you tell me the model number please as i'd love to take a look, thanks

Very attractive and distinct without being a copy of anything. As an NH35a powered diver it should sell for less than half of the price shown imo.

The yellow dial reminds me of the B&M Capeland XXL - one of my all-time favourite tool watches. Very nice indeed.

I want one of those sweet steel bracelets more than the watch 🤷♂️
After owning a hexmariner and immediately flipping it…there is no way Revelot beats San Martin or Cronos for this style of watch.
Exactly, the best sub homages are still from SM & Cronos
Looks good. Never heard of them - where are they made?
Malaysia

Very nice watch but just a bit overpriced new I think and they should offer a different movement in it as an upgrade obviously extra cost to customers
