This is awesome! They're certain tricks one can use to remember some of the capitals. For instance, to remember Hungary's, just think of a hungry Buddha who's a pest until he eats.

Just to fix a pet peeve I have. Not all capitals are pronounced how they’re spelt. Buenos Aires is pronounced bwa-nose air-es. Canberra is pronounced can-bra and Nassau is pronounced nah-saw.

Well, to be precise: Japan doesn't have a capital city. Tokyo simply happens to be the largest city in Japan, with the Diet, Supreme Court and Imperial Palace.

Not at all. Makes no sense saying so. Sao Paulo is the financial center of the country, but the government powers, organs and foundations have they seats most in Brasília (and some in Rio de Janeiro). Financial centers and capitals are different things.

Israel's historical and official capital has always been Jerusalem, and is recognized as such by many countries. The seat of government however, is in Tel Aviv.
