I'm glad you (and Joey) are showing how difficult it is to raise puppies because so many people try to "breed" their dogs without any knowledge and research about how to care for them and the amount of time and work it takes especially when they get sick! You both are awesome at doggy daddy duties!

Never been a parent, but I can't imagine a human baby is any less messy, and it isn't over after 8-9 weeks! Monty looks so ready to get back home to lead a single life again!

Omg! I'm so glad I'm not the only one who turns a movie on for their Pup when they leave the house. You really are the best Dog Dad I know. And BTW you are 💯 right. Grabbing the puppies by the scruff is perfectly fine.
I put soothing music on TH-cam for my puppy and cats
PS. If you're washing with plain detergent on cold water you're just swishing the poo bacteria around and rinsing some of it off. You have to use laundry *sanitizer* for cold water absolutely, and preferably in hot water.

Watching the cleaning process is like damn…. Lots of work goes into fostering and caring for mama animals and baby animals (no matter what breed or species) PROPERLY. I love that you and Joey are presenting the reality of birth, nutrition, hygiene and care in a way that is informative and realistic. Shows what people are truly up against if they want to take on fostering etc.
The Dog Dad series is getting me through finals, and helping my mom continue to recover from her hip replacement! Hope you have a good weekend!
First off- the puppies coming up to the camera - I could scream. So sweet. Also I'm an active duty military member and many of us that don't work in the field daily, (IE: work in hospitals or offices), wear those Nikes. They're so light weight compared to some of our other options. Love them! Thank you for sharing these moments.
Ok off topic completely Daniel your Christmas tree is giving me complete life! It's so gorgeous I love it.
It is a good thing you get up early so you can handle the many duties of a Dog Dad. You are doing an amazing job taking care of these lovely pups. Along with mom they are always sooo happy to see you. So cute to see them jump up n down for dad's attention. Monty looks like she is missing home and misses you. Darling to see her want to bring you not 1 but 3 items so adorable. I know these pups and mom feel so blessed to have you help them because you are fantastic!
I climbed Machu Picchu! Take lots of snacks and water. If you want to get there before the tourist buses arrive at 9am (and you do because it's gonna be a sea of humans), you need to start your hike before sunrise at around 5.30am to get there for 7am; take a head lamp or flashlight with you. I planned it so that I got there just in time for sunrise (worth it! Plus there were only three other people there this early). I also remember struggling to charge my phone/camera, so take a portable battery as well :)

I seriously never leave comments even though I love your content because im an introvert haha but since you mentioned Peru which is my home country 🇵🇪🥰🥹, i wanted to give you a few recommendations when you get there:
- Before arriving to Cuzco, take altitud sickness pills to help you with the acclimatization even if you are already uso to high altitud places (trust me)
- If you are going to climb wayna picchu: Book your ticket in advance // Make sure you wear hiking shoes and take a repellent as well as a sun block and hat/cap // If you’re going in march, take a raincoat with you. // Take your entrance ticket, your passport, and some water & snacks (not to heavy though)
- For food i like more the food from other peruvian cities: lomo saltado, ceviche, causa, aji de gallina, pollo a la brasa, papa a la huancaina, anticucho, chifa (peruvian fussion with chinese). In Cuzco there is a very famous pizza place called :bodega 138 (totally recommend)

it's so cool that you're coming to Peru! I'm Peruvian and I hope you like seeing the country! definitely rest the first day you arrive to Cuzco, eat lightly and take medication for altitude sickness, as long as you take your time to get used to the altitude you'll be fine!
Wonderful job taking care of the puppies! Some laundry advice, if you wash with cold water, add some Lysol laundry additive to kill all the fecal germs, it's easy and it sanitizes without hot water.

Love seeing the puppies grow. I lost my beloved dog today she was 14 and had cancer 😢 and my heart is absolutely broken so this just gives me warmth and a little bit of joy during my hard time. Keep being the best doggy dad love you ❤❤

Me too! My only son, Kris turned 35 on November 12, this fall and I wanted to know what he wanted to do. (Last year, I made him ..a birthday cake and, we brought it with us, after he drove to get me ..that Thanksgiving time. The chocolate cake was wonderful and two House folks ate some of it, and I had a piece or two. But, we have Thanksgiving where one of his house members worked, and it was lovely, downtown in Durango, Colorado. This year, when he turned 35, that day to him was a normal day. (I live here now as well.) He agrees with that as much as he can. Happy birthday, this weekend. And... get that guy ...who lives in the same place, Joey, to make you, a birthday cake 🎂 as well. I hiked the inca trail to Machu Picchu a few years back. I went in December and it was very rainy so probably best to go in a few months. It’s an amazing experience but very challenging due to the altitude. Make sure to bring some medication so you don’t get altitude sickness!

OMG!!!! That tree!!! I love her!!!! I actually used icicles on my tree this year. I haven't done icicles since I don't know how long. Honestly, my tree this year is one of my favorites in a very long time.

Anyone who thinks taking care of puppies is all just fun cuteness, yes they are super adorable but it's a lot of work. Just taking care of one is a lot, I can't imagine a large litter. Before you know it, the next few weeks are going to fly by and they will be in their new homes. I hope the people who adopt them send you updates so you can see how they look as they are older. Especially Twig, she is a little cutie pie.
When puppies are very small in the first week or so of life being picked up by the scruff of the neck is different however it isn’t recommended at the age your puppies are now as it can damage their neck and skin because they are much heavier than they were in the first week of life. Multiple sources say the same if you look it up. Also not all animals will vocalize or react even if they are experiencing discomfort.

Happy Birthday Daniel, the world is a better place with you in it! So cute with you're combat boots ( I'm calling them that for this task) of getting down to the dirty business of these well fed and loved healthy beautiful puppies. With this great idea of potty training early on. All future human parents should be delighted with this extra dividend. Regarding the big day, you know when you have a lot of friends sometimes it's better to stretch it out into a Birthday week (or two,lol), let them take you out for dinners and spoil you, I think you deserve it. Hi Daniel! A tip that you might want to try for washing the puppies' dirty bedding in the future... I use cloth diapers with my son and it's highly recommended you use the tide powder detergent over liquid! It cleans poop and pee out much better! And two warm/hot washes are used for cloth diapers to get them clean. Hope this can help! My son and I love watching your dog dad series!

@Mister Preda I believe it is considered cheaper and it comes in cardboard over plastic. So that could be a few reasons as well! It is great to add water to and make a paste to clean stains!
