Laurence Olivier (who became Lord Olivier in 1971) was a very well known English actor, director and producer. He won four Academy Awards, three Golden Globes, five Emmys and two British Acadamy Of Film Awards, amongst many other accolades. His career spanned from the 1920s to the 1980s. He was a star of the stage, movies and TV and was, at one point, director at The National Theatre and, at another point, The Old Vic. He’s widely considered to have been the greatest actor Britain ever produced and, to actors of a certain generation, he was the one to aspire to be like. For a British actor to be compared favourably to Olivier would be about the best compliment they could receive. I was fortunate enough to see Miriam Margolyes as Mrs Hardcastle in She Stoops To Conquer in the late 90s. She’s truly a very fine actor, and I admire her greatly. But she’s also known for telling slightly outrageous stories in which she often gives too much information about herself - things that may be best kept private! I suspect she deliberately does this to shock, which sometimes makes her look a bit like an attention seeker and I sometimes think may be a very easy way to get quick laughs. I sometimes wish she wouldn’t do that as she’s better than that. At the same time, however, I can’t deny that her stories are funny! It’s worth watching the clip from the episode with Will I Am. It’s another “too much information” story, but the look on Will’s face is priceless. Thank you once again for a great reaction. That raucous laugh can pierce through even the most darkest of times and put a bit of joy into all our lives.

Miriam is a gem!
Love her! & love Dickens (as does she)! ✌😄
Graham Norton's show is so much better than the american late night talk shows. You'd never get stories like Miriam's on Fallon or Kimmel.
It's always funny to see Americans on a show like this, they're so used to PG press junkets and then they get to a British show like Graham Norton's and they often look like a deer in headlights lmao
not sure if you have seen
"Zach Rushing My first black cookout"
if not don't worry the title sounds bad, but its not, and is one of the funniest stories online, he also has a follow up "Zack Rushing Mama T's Fish Fry"
he has a great back story in his personal life and as a result he donates all his income from youtube to kids with cancer, and 100% of his merch goes to them aswell
"I don't think I've ever been more uncomfortable in my life." Just wait until you wish death on Keanu Reeves.
watch the one where she talks about the British soldier too 😂
The man you couldn’t remember, wasn’t he in happy days?
Will I am one was a hoot too.
Stanley Tuchi was the actor you know his face.
The Edinburgh tattoo story was "interesting" too
That was hollywood director Ron Howard(aka Ritchie from Happy Days) during Miriam's strip search story.
13:13 Is that Ron Howard from The Andy Griffith Show and Happy Days?
That lady's a character.
Right. Some people are just, I guess the word would be "lucky," to have bizarre life stories. Like they have a life to talk about. As opposed to me, where my life has pretty much been "wake up in the morning, go to bed at night." MY bizarre stories are more like that long pee story I told you about in one of your streams, some months ago, or the one about a month ago when I mentioned the time I was sick for so long. And, I still have more stories like that.
Hahahhaa! Welp, they are still stories!!
24:46 Yeah, there's plenty of great stories to watch on the Graham Norton Show. Oh! Do watch the Matt Damon, Bill Murray, Hugh Bonneville episode in full, it's one of the craziest! The anglovirtual channel has it uploaded in two parts. 🥺🙏
Ok, only because you asked nicely. I shall add it to the list 🤪
She is an hilarious loose cannon specially on chat shows 😂
I think the nervous American who almost walked off is Stanley Tucci.
I think you'd really enjoy the Red Chair stories from Graham Nortons Show.
Try and find the one where she is with Will i am, its hilarious
Miriam is a class act mandy more mandy lol xx😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
Ah, Miriam. No filter whatsoever. One of the better ones was when she was interviewed last October on the BBC about meeting the new Chancellor, Jeremy Hunt, and she said "I just said 'what a hell of a job, best of luck'. But what I wanted to say was 'f*ck you, bastard'". 😆😆 And then she was escorted out of the building. Cos the BBC have no sense of humour.
You know you're doing something right (or very, very wrong) if you can make Jimmy Carr nervous.
The guy you paused at is from happy days.
It's Richie Cunningham from Happy Days
Ron Howard Happy Days and director guy with Stephen Fry and Paul Rudd
She's not a comedian !!!
... however ...
she's a 'character' !!!
I'd like to suggest to you an Australian comedian called Jimmy Rees. He has a lot of TH-cam videos (it's what he does) but I'd suggest 2 of his more recent series, They Wouldn't Let Me Into ... in which he has a dig at various cities around Australia, plus Auckland, New Zealand. His other recent series I really like is The Guy Who Decides ... Start with Australian Football Rules, Cricket, The World Cup or Superbowl. Don't worry, you don't need to be a sports fan to enjoy these.
The strager in the tree u missed 😅
I am glad I came across you. I enjoy watching your reactions You seem very natural I am intrigued to know which part of the states you are from because I find accents very interesting and although I am no expert I’m going to have a go and guess you are from New Jersey New York area.
You tell us you are from the states but of course that is stating the obvious I’m not asking for your street address just your state. I am from England and therefore I am pretty weak at placing American accents. Just asking!
Hi! Thank you, and I am from California! The San Fernando Valley to be specific! 🤗
@@MandyCaneLane yeah
Ron Howard was in happy days
Love your laugh😂😂l
You missed the funny part with Lily Allen & Dominic, there is also the great show with Will I Am and Greg Davies. So funny.
Now you gotta check out Sir Laurence Olivier vids and find out who he was.
