    If you use this on Brazilian rain forest mosquitos, during the equinox, with no wind, on a blood moon, with high tide, during a solar flare, it should work perfectly.

    I use one everyday. I live in Texas and we have mosquitoes year round. I don't like this unit because of the battery charge time. I use a butane unit and I refill my own cartridges for about .30 cents per refill. I purchased a bunch of Raid refill mats from China and they work just fine. Thermacell repells mosquitoes 100% true.

      yes. I saw another video review & she said to not throw away the lid; or else the fuel will leak out & you will lose the remaining fuel when travelling with it open. (it happened to her; she lost $20 of fuel, because she threw away the lid.)
      Therefore, yes; the unit needs to remain upright.

    Hello,
    Just a quick question, I live in Scotland and the main issue here is Midge's. In the worst case they lift up like a mist and then bite, it's usually thousands off Midge's which always spoil a great evening and I end up in a tent to avoid them.
    Will this product enable me to enjoy the evenings without the Midge's.
    Regards
    Iain

    Wind is actually a great mosquito repellent. They can't fly in it. Also, wind disperses carbon dioxide and lactic acid given off by a person so mosquitoes cant find you. In conclusion, where there's wind there are no mosquitoes

    • @tazman572
      @tazman572 4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I always thought that wind and smoke were mosquito deterrents. Well, a few years ago my wife and I were having a fire in back of our house and the wind picked up. The fire was emitting smoke, the wind was blowing it around and the mosquitos were still biting. So much for those two deterrents.

    Thermacell user here.
    Without even owning it I can roughly guess the pro and cons.
    Pro - good for traveling(plane) because no fuel. Good for high altitude(7000ft+) where butane works crap.
    Con - shorter runtime 6 vs 12hr. I think it’ll be more fragile than a standard one. I drop mine a lot and still functions. Even on concrete. Refillable? Not sure if anyone developed a hack yet. For example a standard Thermacell can use Thermacell and 3rd party products.
    You didn’t really proved it worked. By your logic it’s an alien repellent as well because I don’t see any 🤣 ok I’m just teasing because there are plenty of vids to show it’s more effective as an aerosol repellent compared to others.
    Now would I get this for plane travel? Probably not because I hacked my Thermacell to be refillable(I have a how to vid). I could just pick up butane at the destination country and fly with an empty cartridge. Alternatively if I had to go super light there are usb mosquito repellent devices out there. I have actually tested the small usb product vs a Thermacell and the Thermacell decimates it in volume of the ingredients in the air(I have a comparison vid somewhere haha).
    I’m glad that Thermacell is giving options to the consumers. For me I can’t see the value.
