    Dean could you do a video on how to use skew. I would like to be 1/2 as good as you. My goal for 2022.

    • @DeansWoodworking
      @DeansWoodworking  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Thanks Ken, I do have plans to do some videos on tools and how to use them the skew is just one of many that I plan to do. keep tuned in it's coming.

    A very nice project. I do wish you would not skip the sanding on the video. You don't have to do much but some just to show if you are using power or just hand work. I would have liked the sanding instead of seeing every ring cut into the tree. If you have to do 50 of something, show the first few and jump over the rest. After all if we see the first 3, it's not hard to imagine the next 47. Same with sanding. If we see the first grit, it's not hard to imagine the next 4 of 5. Still, it's a nice little box and a pretty good video. Thank you for sharing. Have a great day and stay safe.

      It's absurd how someone can make a comment about how someone should record a video when they don't have any of their own. Pretty sad....

    • @glencrandall7051
      @glencrandall7051 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@gregwilsonnaturephotography I assume your comment is referring to my comment. If so, then may I ask how the presenter knows if he is getting his point across unless he gets some feed back. I gave my opinion on what I would like to see in his video. He is free to either take my suggestions or not. And for your information I do have a video. And I am the first to admit it isn't very good.🙂🙂

    Wonderful Christmas tree box Dean! Its nice to see a full "how to" video on the projects that were shown on Wednesday nite on Worldwide Woodturners! Thanks for sharing buddy! Oh, and I believe the dent on the tree is called a "feature". A carving instructor told me years ago to be proud of those imperfections. It shows that the product was made by hand, not mass-produced in a factory, and therefore, should be worth more!

    VERY nice project for the holidays! Your skew skills are very good. I appreciate you not speeding up the actual turning sequences, as it gives the beginners a sense of reality for how long it takes for the cuts.

    Great instructional video, Dean, just like the others you have made. I am a beginner and the only thing I excel at is covering my errors! Your videos have guided me through several projects with vast improvement on my technique. Appreciate your style. The question I have is: what kind of sander was that you used to sand the bottom of your box? Thanks again.

      Glad it was helpful! The sander is a close quarters drill you can get them from woodturnerswonders.com/
