Thanks for sharing your gift. These would make nice gifts, for family members who cook with wooden untesils. I need to hurry up and get finished with the master bath remodel, so I can get back in the shop. My lathe whimpers every time I walk in the shop to get something.
Excellent video as usual. Where did you get that racket-like sanding device? Is that replaceable? Where do you get those large disks sanders? Thank you so much
I bought that at the SWAT convention last year. I forgot the vendor I bought it from however I will be there next weekend and I will buy some more. I love that thing. I will get the information and add it to the description. Thanks for Watching!!!
Nice piece! I plan on making several out of Oak that are “super sized” with the ‘head’ end scalloped to fit a BBQ grate and use it to scrape the grill.
Hi Dean, Been watching your videos for some time now. I like that alot of your turning uses the skew. My question is this, if you only had one skew, what size would you recommend and which brand? I am looking at buying a quality new HSS chisel but don't know if I need 1/2 inch and a 1 inch as a set, or could you get by with just one or the other. So many decisions and money to be spent. I appreicate your professional opinion on this. Thanks
I think the 3/4 is more versatile. The 1" is easier to learn on because it has a larger sweat spot, but is less versatile. I would wait on the 1/2 untill I had some practice with the skew. I hope this helps. Thanks for Watching!!!
Cool. Thanks for sharing this idea.
Thanks for watching!
Nice quick job Dean. I know wife would love one. So I guess I’ll get busy 👏
