My original plan was to hunt for yellowtail using a throw flasher when this big school of white bass swam directly under me. I'd never seen a school this big in a spot with no kelp in sight. Each fish was way over legal and I couldn't decide which was the biggest to shoot. My hesitant trigger finger got the better of me when one fish spooked and the rest of the bass scattered in a heartbeat. The second time I saw the school I lined up on the absolute nearest fish and shot right away! Speared it out in the blue and played with the fish for at least 5 minutes all the way to the surface, since there was no kelp around to tie up. It was a fun day on the water and a tasty fish to bring home. - บันเทิง
When you've lived landlocked your whole life, the biggest fish you see are just a few feet long, so I'm always amazed when I see these people sized fish.
It's crazy how big fish can get out here in California. Sometimes it feels like I'm diving with prehistoric creatures when I compare ocean fish to lake fish. But hey, land locked can mean you're closer to areas where you can hunt wild animals like deer and pigs. I live so far away from open land that I've never tried to seriously hunt with a riffle. Always wanted to, but never figured out the logistics of it.
Great footage and a lifetime of memories. Thanks for sharing.
Ooh.🎉🎉🎉 Oh yeah kick his ass ❤seabass

This Looks NICE
Never caught one of those looking forward to catching one this year
Hi bro
Do you ever seen great white shark while spearfishing in Catalina island???
Top shot
No I never have. I have seen a great white shark from a boat in Huntington Beach close to the shoreline
whats the song
The song is called "Who Shot da Kala" by Crazy Eddie Lopez.
Chee!! Got ‘em!
How did u go about tracking them down? Never caught a wsb nor bsb
Ha I think I don't do a very good job at tracking seabass down in the water. They are so big it's hard to miss them when you do find one. White seabass don't live year round in Southern California so that's usually why you don't see them in the water. I've gone out couple times this year and haven't seen any. But I'll keep trying.
@@abzde I think they arrive around march
Well it's April now. I hope I see one tomorrow when I jump in the water!.
Update I did not see any white sea bass and I didn't shoot any of course. I guess I got to go out again another day
@@abzde I just caught 2 yesterday juveniles tho but there was big ones out there. You gotta go now the waters warming up.
@@abzde try going to Point Loma 👌🏼👌🏼

White seabass this size are breeder fish that maintain the fish population. Killing them is unfortunate decision.
It was a tasty decision 😋
Man, says you. That’s why California has rules! It’s ethical and sustainable!
This fish tasted so delicious! Here's a pic I posted on Instagram. One of the best meals I've ever had :) instagram.com/p/CPCVfByjjQn/?
