I'm an Aussie..."smashed avo" is on every cafe breakfast menu! Couldn't be bothered with the fuss of sliced avo at home, and also (as you said) it's easier to eat.
Im 52 yo and my Filipino grandmother used to make avocado toast for me when i was a little girl . She would mash, then mix a splash milk and honey . Theres also avocado ice cream in Filipino markets

I started toasting & buttering my bread that way Not because I saw anyone else do it but because I like doing things easy and messing up less dishes. I have a tiny kitchen no room for a bunch of appliances. Threw out my toaster. Use a non stick pan to make the toast. Started buttering it that way because I had cold butter and was hungry!😆 and hate extra dishes I'm the dishwasher. So after toasting in a dry non stick pan I'll add butter &let it melt and voila yummy buttered toast on both sides & only a pan to wash. I put the stick of butter to the pan!! I'm dedicated to washing the least amount of items!😆😆

What a coincidence, I finally got around to buying Aleppo peppers just yesterday after months and months of thinking I need to try it! I hit up the Middle Eastern market for it as I needed to get pita bread as well. There were two brands and I went with the brand name was most familiar, but I should have gotten both to compare. I like the pepper, it's mild, for sure, so can be sprinkled on lots of stuff.

Great video. I have mashed avocado every morning with feta and red onion. The biggest problem is getting the avocados to ripen when I want them to!

I love avocado toast. I like the smashed avocado on top of toasted bread with some everything bagel seasoning. I typically don’t get the “fancy” kind with eggs because it’s so hard to eat.

Mash! I too my avocado toast with everything but the bagel seasoning and extra virgin olive oil. Sometimes I add an over easy egg and siracha.
My go-to avocado toast is smashed avocado and a fried over medium egg on toasted rye sprinkled with a generous amount of everything bagel seasoning. 😋
I love avocado toast, but never had it with scrambled eggs. I’ll have to try that.
Was never a big fan of avocados but I loved avocado milk as a kid. These look worth a try though 🙂

Team mashed your recipe looks yummy!😋 I use a everything bagel seasoning from Aldi...it has sesame seeds, minced garlic, poppy seeds, etc. It is delicious!! 💚
Wow! I like the second one, the colours and texture looks so interesting. Now where can i find watermelon radish in London and also that burnt garlic flakes which I think I could make at home by burning some garlic 😂.
You can try pancakes 🥞 for the series, and also peanut butter and jelly sandwiches 🥪.
I’ve never even thought about having slices of avocado on toast. They probably fall off! 😂
But I used to get out the hand mixer and mash my avocados that way. But now I just buy mashed avocados or guacamole from the store. Usually Target. 🎯

Depending on how I am eating the avocado. I prefer sliced on open face toast and mashed for dips.

I think it’s either an egg toast or avocado toast. It can’t be both of them on one toast. Both are soft and mushy so you don’t get to actually enjoy either one.

What burner do you use?
I love using my molcajete to make avocado mash for my toast. I also prefer fried eggs on top.
If you can get to trader Joe's they have goat cheese cream cheese and it's so good. If u can't get boursin is a good substitute. I loved avo toast. I use Dave's killer bread and Everything but the bagel seasoning.

On Bread like in both verions .. probably mashed.. in a salad .. more likely sliced.
As for the egg, again it depends on the application of it. As for the 2nd version ... it would depend on the bread. on like a bagel, poached or a sunny side up .. on a longer piece of bread probably scrambled .. but I do a more french tyle of scambled egg. None the less, great video ..

When I read the title, I was like, "...as in boogers?" LOL! I don't think I've seen it spelled that way before. However, the finished product looks WAY better than boogers, for sure. Beautiful and does look delish! :)
Everyone has a different name for these, but the egg in the middle of a piece of toast (egg in a hole?) would be fun to see dressed up. My mom called them window pictures. Major comfort food for me.
