Hi, In regular installations, we are using conventional lightening arrester ( instead of ese type )... Will it protect solar system from lightening??? Further, switching off solar inverter when there are chances of lightening, can safeguard solar system.. Kindly advice
Sir you are correct there are lots of Agencies who is saying we should only install conventional type lightning Arrester not ESE type because ESE type attract the lightning and after installing ESE type it is dangerous to invite lightning that’s why they suggest conventional type

Yes conventional Lightening arrester will also work but calculation and design should be proper
