    Got this one a week ago and man o man. What a beautiful knife. The grind is the best and even grind I’ve ever experienced.

    First real high grade Auto-opener I got since Illinois started allowing the carry of Auto-openers by valid FOID Card holders. Favorite EDC knife...

    Pretty cool knife. I love how they adapted his design. Emersons design is definitely easy to spot and this definitely has his style. Great video 👍

    Saw these for the first time today. Decided to find a review or three. I have CQC-7s from Benchmade from the mid 90s as well as a couple newer (far less expensive) from Kershaw. Love the Emerson blade design.
    Do I need a new $200 one that's an auto? Probably not. But they're sure handsome.
    Nice presentation. Liked and subscribed

    Great steel, great action, great feel, only thing I don’t like is the coating on the aluminum handle, the coating scratches easy and shows finger prints like no one’s business.

    Great review. Just got mine today, and was surprised at how small it seems. I have medium hands, and the handle is fine. It just seems like the blade is kind of small. Literally the first thing I thought was "dinky"! A seriously sweet blade though. I love Pro-Tech stuff. Thanks.

      Yeah the blade to handle ratio on the CQC7 is a little odd. It's even worse on the manual version

    I just took delivery about 20 minutes ago on the newest Blade HQ Exclusive Pro-Tech Emerson CQC-7 Auto. Impressed! I chose the black bladed Jade Green G-10 model which sold out very quickly. It joins eight other 7's in my Emerson collection in different configurations from Super to Mini. This is my first auto CQC-7 and my first Pro-Tech ever. It's Awesome! VERY strong opening as stated in the video. It almost jumped out of my hand the first time I opened it. Everything else I am very impressed with; Fit and finish are top flight and it's chisel ground blade is literally razor sharp directly from the box. Even the box and drawstring pouch it arrived in are cool. It's going right into my EDC rotation. Great video Dirk. Thanks!

    These are neat. Protech autos are nice but there a little bit small. Emerson did make 3.5 inch CQC7 like the Benchmade colaberation and maybe customs, i know i've seen them in the past. Not sure why they made the blade smaller, i know close quarter combat but 3.5 isnt exactly too long. The Protech SNG is nice but give us a SMF. Thats my only complaint is there autos are too small. Nothing wrong with these but give us longer blades.

    If you had to pick between the Protec or the benchmade 9400, which would you pick? I have both brands, both are awesome knife companies, I really really like protec and I was leaning toward the cqc7 with s45vn over the 9400 S30V but I originally wanted the 9400 so I’m pretty torn up over it lol

    • @DirkWerning
      @DirkWerning  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      That’s a tough one. I think I would go 9400 if I had to choose one. Basically the 940 is a classic design and I love the 940 so having an auto version works with my collection.

    • @GBall_Vision
      @GBall_Vision 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@DirkWerning I’m going to trust you and go 9400, I just got the godson and the CF s90v bugout. They are both amazing. I’m going to get the 9400 with the black coated blade
