If you want a little more grip then you could look into skateboard tape. It’s the rough grip tape thats on skateboards.

Looks great and you probably have enough aluminum left over to build the style of running boards you had designed which I personally would have done but then I may not have liked it. Anyway glad you are able to build your own stuff and have such an awesome shop to do projects in.

Outstanding job! You made this project look easy! The 85-dollar investment in the material is a whole lot cheaper than buying the floorboards from CanAm. I see Q wrote his thoughts on the rocks or debris flying out. I would hope this isn't the case, but if it is perhaps your 1st design Idea would prevent it. But the job came out great nonetheless. I hope you have a great weekend!

That is an awesome job you have done. I'm still paying for my Spyder so an awesome DIY set that looks cool like that would be awesome. Since you are not interested in making another set, can you give the dimensions or a template of yours? Your set definately would work for me. Again awesome job sir.

These turned out awesome! What did you use to cut the aluminum plates?

  • @petekeller1424

Hi. So, are your boards permanently mounted and no being able to slide back and forth? How is that rear bolt on your boards bolted onto the frame? Any type of drilling into the frame needed?

Would you make a set of floorboards?

WHERE DID YOU BUY THE SHEET ALUMINUM? DID YOU CUT THEM OUT ON A BAND SAW? WHERE WAS THE STEEL BRACKET MADE, AT A WELDING SHOP?

  • @ColPKing

    Are they Cost Effective?
