- I liked my Can-Am Spyder F3 Trunk Kit from Sid's Motorcycle World so much on my F3-S that I felt a video was due. This has a few pointers on installation, especially with the "OEM" Shad saddlebags.

2 and a half years after you made this video, and it's still providing great value. Based mostly on this video and a phone call with Sid, I ordered this set up for my wife's 2016 F3-S. I also relied primarily on this video for the install. The only change I made was mounting the trunk closer to the bike - but she will not ride with a passenger. Would love to hear how it's held up over the years, but for now - wow, great setup. Thanks a million.

I still use this thing every day. My fiance says the padding is as soft and supportive as the day we got it. I go grocery shopping with it, and go on trips with it. When I get to my destination, I just pop the entire case off and bring it inside. I've had issues with the OEM saddlebags (wound up having to warranty them), but the topcase has been flawless.
Mounting it farther forward is a good idea for exposing the brake lights a little better. I never did wind up installing the light bar onto the case... it just seemed like a big hassle.
@@adamweinberger8373 Awesome. I had my phenomenal service technician install the brake light and it was still hard to see - mainly because it just wasn't that bright, so he also added a Whelen LED brake light to the rear fender. Now you can't NOT see it! :)
You answered about 10 questions I have on my spyder. Down to wearing a black/white helmet with a yellow/black bike (my color scheme is opposite yours)to how do saddle bags fit with the akrapovic pipe. The bags look real nice too..thanks for posting. Very helpful!

Hello, Sir! Thanks for the great video. I was wondering if the topcase shakes on bumpy roads, and by how much. Also, on the instruction manual it is stated that the speed limit with the box on is 120kmh (75mph), did you drive it faster than this without any problems? Many thanks!
The highway speed limit in my area is 75 mph, and while I would never exceed a posted speed limit, I've definitely exceeded the posted speed limit. I've never heard any rattling, whether empty or stuffed full of items well exceeding the manufacturer's weight limit, and my passengers have never complained of discomfort sitting up against it. One fell asleep leaned up against it.
hi ..i have the full kit ...just did a 8000 +km trip around europe...fully loaded ..no problem and felt very secure and had moments of exxes of 150 km ..no problem ...great trip ....enjoy ...
When you ordered your kit, did you order the standard rack or the "Delux" rack?
This video was made before the "deluxe" rack option, so I'm going to guess that it's probably the "standard" rack option.
The website doesn't really say what the difference is, but it looks like the "deluxe" rack is a little smaller but also positions the topcase much farther back. It might be easier to mount, but my guess is that it'd be a lot less comfortable for passengers.

Hello, I have a 2022 base F3. Looking to get the saddle bags and this top case. Will I need to order something in addition to get it to mount?
I didn't need anything else for my 2018 F3-S, but the passenger grab bars on the F3-S are different from your tail section. My guess is that it'll work fine without any extra parts, though you may have to not remove the spacers that I did. Let me know how it works for you!

Can i mount these on my F3T and replace my stock bags?
It mounts to the F3 and F3-S where the pillion grab bars attach. If the bolt spacing is the same, then it likely would fit the F3-T. I'm not positive whether that's the case.
If you take a look in the BRP catalogue for the F3 series passenger armrests (SKU 219400726), it says it fits all F3 models. Those armrests bolt onto the grab bars. That leads me to suspect that this kit might fit your F3-T.
That top case looks like it's following the bike down the road.
Seems like it'd be more of a problem if it STOPPED following you down the road.
looks good where did you find your windshield?
It's OEM. It's Can-Am's "Route 129" shorty windshield. The tall one ("Blue Ridge") is definitely very tall. If you're under 5'10", the shorty windshield has much more pleasant airflow.
