- THE WILD ROBOT Trailer 2 (NEW 2024)
The Wild Robot - In Theaters September 27
From DreamWorks Animation comes a new adaptation of a literary sensation, Peter Brown’s beloved, award-winning, #1 New York Times bestseller, The Wild Robot.
The epic adventure follows the journey of a robot-ROZZUM unit 7134, “Roz” for short - that is shipwrecked on an uninhabited island and must learn to adapt to the harsh surroundings, gradually building relationships with the animals on the island and becoming the adoptive parent of an orphaned gosling.
The Wild Robot stars Academy Award® winner Lupita Nyong’o (Us, The Black Panther franchise) as robot Roz; Emmy and Golden Globe nominee Pedro Pascal (The Last of Us, The Mandalorian) as fox Fink; Emmy winner Catherine O’Hara (Schitt’s Creek, Best in Show) as opossum Pinktail; Oscar® nominee Bill Nighy (Living, Love Actually) as goose Longneck; Kit Connor (Heartstopper, Rocketman) as gosling Brightbill and Oscar® nominee Stephanie Hsu (Everything Everywhere All at Once, this summer’s The Fall Guy) as Vontra, a robot that will intersect with Roz’s life on the island.
The film also features the voice talents of Emmy winning pop-culture icon Mark Hamill (Star Wars franchise, The Boy and the Heron), Matt Berry (What We Do in the Shadows, The SpongeBob Movie franchise) and Golden Globe winner and Emmy nominee Ving Rhames (Mission: Impossible films, Pulp Fiction).
A powerful story about the discovery of self, a thrilling examination of the bridge between technology and nature and a moving exploration of what it means to be alive and connected to all living things, The Wild Robot is written and directed by three-time Oscar® nominee Chris Sanders-the writer-director of DreamWorks Animation’s How to Train Your Dragon, The Croods, and Disney’s Lilo & Stitch-and is produced by Jeff Hermann (DreamWorks Animation’s The Boss Baby 2: Family Business; co-producer, Kung Fu Panda franchise).
Peter Brown’s The Wild Robot, an illustrated middle-grade novel first published in 2016, became a phenomenon, rocketing to #1 on the New York Times bestseller list. The book has since inspired a trilogy that now includes The Wild Robot Escapes and The Wild Robot Protects. Brown’s work on the Wild Robot series and his other bestselling books have earned him a Caldecott Honor, a Horn Book Award, two E.B. White Awards, two E.B. White Honors, a Children’s Choice Award for Illustrator of the Year, two Irma Black Honors, a Golden Kite Award and a New York Times Best Illustrated Book Award.

Even I honestly thought it was going to be a quiet movie with not that much dialogue and the animals are muted throughout the movie
I was really looking forward to that aspect too, but the beautiful animation has still got me interested🤩
They did mention some can't members in the movie so we kinda should've saw it coming
Yeah I was hopeful but saw it coming since everyone talks in the book
Mark Hamill?!! Does he play that scary robot at the end of the trailer
WHAT? Man, I thought this movie was gonna be silent without the animals talkin'. Man, get Dee Baker and Welker to just do the animal sounds, c'mon now. Ain't nobody wanna see this now.
Tell me I wasn't the only one hoping for the robot to stay silent for the entire movie. I think that would've made things much more interesting. Still excited for this one.
Sadly it was inevitable seeing how it when down in the book
U weren’t the only one, first trailer gave me goosebumps
Would have been regally unique if they went silent route
@@zmanszoo5454so it is based on that book! Man I haven't read that book in years. Definitely wanna see the movie now.
Exactlys’s Toos’s Guys’s Bros’s Fellas’s Pals’s =O =D😦😦😦😦😦😦😦😦🤩🤩🤩🤩🤩✨🔥😎
Agreed. Honestly, I think it would be way more impactful if the robot and the animals were all silent.
After watching the first trailer I was kind of expecting the whole movie to be silent
That’s what I thought too!
I mean end of trailer showed voice cast of the movie so voice acting was expected.
Actually it be a suprise if you watched the book you’ll see how roz understands animals
me to
no fr
As a kid I used to love robots. As a teen I love birds. This looks like a personal favourite movie. And as a dreamworks fan who watches they’re movies religiously I am excited.
1:17 Swimming's easy, I can teach him the way my mom taught me... SWIM! (kicks)
Kick the baby
The Animation of this Movie is Fire
I agree
To everyone saying the robot shouldn't have talked or the animals shouldn't have talked, this movie is based on a book in which both of these things happen. So it wasn't the movie directors choice it was the book writers choice to make the animals talk and the robot speak.
It's funny, when there is nothing in the book, the directors have all the freedom to invent it in the film.
It may have worked in that medium, but it doesn't work in the film.
well the story almost made my cry I cant Beleave they made a movie and there are 3 Books So I. think there will Be 3 movies
It Made with kids in mind
I would’ve liked it if the animals didn’t talk, it would’ve made the movie more interesting and entertaining imo. I’m excited for this movie but I still love the first trailer.
Same! I think the first trailer was absolutely breathtaking, but even with the talking animals I’m still interested in the story this movie has to offer😁
@@gwapohuevo7816 the first trailer is what made this movie look promising for me, I was kinda excepting it to be like Spirit Stallion of the Cimarron, an animated movie about animals that don’t talk yet they still show more emotion than the entire Lion King remake.
It's taken from a book, where the animals do talk. So that is probably why.
They talk in the book because roz learned how they talked and then the rest of the book they talk because of roz understanding
That’s not the wild robot 2 it’s the wild robot first
Imagine if the characters didn't talk. If the writers and animators challenged themselves to communicate through the narrative, expression and body language of the creatures, the music and lighting in the scenes.
Imagine if they had been so bold. To tell a story beyond words.
Not the way the book says it
Yes
it would have been beautiful!
@@joshuamercado6885 and since when do directors care about what is or isn't in the books?
Just calling it now, this is gonna be best animated movie of the year
Im more exited abt inside out 2 and moana 2, but this movie is also going to the list of best movies of the year
Far from it
@@paranaenselol having seen inside out 2 recently... its pretty good imo i thought the first one was better but they def didnt ruin the sequel. Having that said im really excited for both moana 2 and this but seeing the artstyle of the wild robot makes me think this is gonna be better
i was hoping that they wouldn’t put voice actors for the animals and robots but just noises and beeps like how wall-e was
Same but it’ll probably have comedic commentary which harder to demonstrate without words.
The books have dialogue as well so it was inevitable
wall-e has dialogue as well... but barely...
@@Spappl3 thats what i mean, like the robot would say animal names and make worried or scared noises
1:20 OMG 😂😂🤣
I thought the movie was going to be silent. But I would still watch it.
me too^^
2:00
The new Hal looks even scarier than the Disney version
Nature vs technology
I wouldn't mind if the whole movie was silent and only heard animal noises and robot beeping sounds
I hope they have wild robot toys
Along with a wall calendar too.
i do to
Me Too I Want Duckling Plush
@@envywilliams6468 That would be cute.
Blankets?
A movie about a robot who gains sentience, talks to animals, bonds with them, raises a baby gosling as her son and fight alongside side her new friends and son to protect her new home from evil robots. That sounds like the movie of a lifetime!!!!!!! I’m going to love the wild robot. It sure looks like it’s going to make up for Dreamworks failure with Megamind 2 and the series. I can’t wait to see this.
This robot is giving me heavy Baymax vibes from the scene of the robot caring for the injured fox
I don’t care if this movie isn’t silent, it’s still looks wonderful! I hope it will get an Oscar❤
Everyone’s saying they wished for there to be more showing instead of speaking in the movie, which I don’t mind at all! I really don’t mind dialogue or no dialogue. Even so, I really love the idea of the movie showing more scenery instead of speaking more dialogue. (Help me, I’m dying from the cuteness between the gosling and the robot-)
But they anounce voice actors a while ago
@@DanielTorres640. Well- yeah, I’m just saying that I wouldn’t mind if there were any dialogue or not. Sorry for the confusion
@@Altalune_V0id oh yeah not woories
An animated mude movie could have been a good idea i Hope someone use that concept
This is going to be a spectacular DreamWorks film🤖🦊
Indefinitely :-)
This looks great and the premise is very original, can't wait to watch it
The way Roz spoke at the start of the trailer sounded more robot then near the end of the trailer, pretty cool that it may be one of the things that are apart of character growth.
The animation looks perfect and it has the Puss in Boots 2 style
That’s what I was thinking about too
Despite it not being a silent film, I can honest,y say this trailer solidifies my expectations. Can’t wait! ❤
I too thought the robot would be silent, but I will admit that is a *very* cute voice.
This actually looks good, and beautiful. A rarity in modern animation cinema.
We hear more of the cast of this Movie
This actually looks like a great movie. I'm hoping that it will win at the Oscars
i legit got chills, im expecting a lot from this movie now
Everybody is talking about how they thought the movie or want the movie to be silent, but in all honesty. We don't really care about that, the entire reason we want to watch this movie is because of the style, the scenery, the colors. Especially the scenes with the fire, and the color of it (magenta were guessing). All of this movie is already foreshadowing how we'll react, most likely crying.
I wouldn’t have minded dialogue from other characters that made sence for them to talk like humans or even the robots having limited dialogue options like Wall-E, but them and the animals being fully voiced really made me sad because I thought they would do something interesting by having the main robot communicate non-verbally with the animals and then use that same communication method on the other robots that would eventually come to recall/terminate it, more clearly showing how the main robot evolved from its main directive/code in the beginning of the movie. Wall-E is one of my favorite movies because the limited dialogue made it so much more interesting to see how the robots conveyed their emotions through physical expressions and animation. While still excited to see this since it’s still an interesting premise for a movie, can’t say I’m not disappointed in its execution.
Well it’s based on the book so I’m not suprised how Roz can talk to animals
The animals talking is integral to the books. Without it, the story doesn’t work
Oh, I didn’t know this was based on an actual book series 😅. I guess if the plot line for the books requires for the robot and the animals to talk then I won’t complain about it that much. Given how well Dreamworks has adapted other book series, I’ll let them work their magic
In the book it took Roz (the robot) time to learn the animals language
This is Dreamworks going for that Best Animated Picture Oscar
It’s like that robot from “Castle in the sky” the one cares for animals. Must be the origin story
“Swimming is easy! I’ll teach him the way my mom taught me! SWIM.” *proceeds to dropkick Brightbill into the water*
So looking forward to this movie.
This looks Incredible and Charming, :)
Dreamworks been making some great movies Disney take some note.
I am still going to go see it but, for an ironically fitting metaphor, they paved paradise and put up a parking lot. The first trailer heavily implied that it would be a predominately silent project carried by visual storytelling and character interactions like Gendy Tartakovsky's Primal. I watched the original trailer, and I was brought to tears at points. But this one is just a standard family film with a nice animation playing it safe.
Wasn’t expecting her to be able to talk but I’m still fascinated with this movie
I JUST finished reading the series when I found out about the movie trailer.. Im suprisingly still INCREDIBLY excited for this
This feels like someone in the writing team watched the Bastion animated short from Overwatch and was like let’s turn that concept into a movie
I was expecting the robot to stay silent for the movie. but still excited for it
This is going to be a *WILD* ride.
I like to hear the animals talking to.
OH MY GOD THE FOX NOOOOOOOO 1:20
His names fink
I really like howshe speak to them is to just program herself to understand them not just a suprize they suddenly talk 😅 but i really like the idea of a robot being free not taking orders and just live in the wild
Because she has her own passion and dreams
IM SO GLAD THEY MADE THE BOOK INTO THE MOVIE ❤❤❤
Way better trailer. The last one was a bit quiet.
1:17 Okay, that made me laugh lol
I’m excited for wild robot
Me too
Me Too :-)
Even if the robot talked I was hoping that the animals stayed silent two but I'm still decently excited for this movie
Catherine Ohara Voicing a motherly opossum who helps an adoptive mom is surprisingly fitting.
Also it’s weird seeing Pedro not be a father figure for once.
I am very excited to see The Wild Robot movie on September 27, 2024 Friday at Cinemark North Hollywood with Vriana and the fox character is so funny and hilarious
This is the wally sequel we needed
Why do I cry watching this???😢
😢 it’s going be amazing
the second i saw "From the filmmakers who brought you how to train your dragon" i knew it would be amazing
Can we just support this film.
Mainly, because this is the last in-house production before the new era of Dreamworks begin
This movie is gonna be a Hell of a ride!!
Wish there was a live action version in the future sometime.
For my class book we read the wild robot like sometimes people were like “YESSS RECO 1 IS GONE” and it’s a very good but that’s why I’m gonna watch it
Con esta peli Dreamworks celebrara su 30 aniversario🎂
I Hope This Movie Will Coming This Fall
I read the book a while back, they talk. It was kinda inevitable, it would’ve been interesting if Roz and the animals stayed silent, taking away he dialogue would mean they’d have to completely change the plot from the book because many plot points depend on there communication.
If the trailer has brought me to tears (in a good way), what's gonna happen to me when I watch the movie???
Man, this movie looks great (hopefully)
I was expecting this whole movie would be silent so it could focus on visual story telling but I guess talking animals equals humor for the kids
This is going to be the best DreamWorks movie I've ever seen in my life how about you guys
It gives me goosebumps every time i see the trailer
Im super hyped
Oh I am SO ready for this movie. Seems like it will stay very true to the book, which I have absolutely no issue with.
I love this whole Anna mason
You know I was expecting like a first trailer will act like a story where everyone is silent and only hear noises like animals for machine parts moving, what does seen the second trailer I actually wanted to hear more of this beautiful story and hearing the characters communication and how they play out, I actually like this turn out.
Can you remind me of a robot versus Tarzan cuz he was raised in the wild too and there's a robot is going to be raised in the wild also
Tell me I’m not the only one who is dying to see this, and also, 1:04 XD
I will say I’m surprised with Roz’s voice. I always expected her to have a slightly older voice, but this works too. Either way, I’m excited for this, and I hope it doesn’t stray too far away from the source material
Silent movie or not, this is gonna be goooood.
While I see everyone talking about how they thought the movie was gonna be a silent one...
I'm here wondering what the fox's home life was like and why he's my favorite character now-
Im not ready to get emotionally wrecked 😭😭😭
Pretty much giving away the entire movie with this trailer, aren't they?
I so wanna see this movie ❤❤
Me Too :-)
-it talks
NEXT!
this make robot more dangerous; and here, that robot is your protagonist. what do you want us to feel, attached or afraid?
kind of sad this movie isn’t gonna be dialogue-free, but still want to watch it
Tenía al principio la idea de que el robot no podría hablar, ni los animales. Me hubiera gustado que hubiera sido esa la realidad, sería una experiencia mucho más interesante de ver
That is so cool, I can't wait to see it.
Indeed & Me Too :-)
shouldn't we all be wild robots like this
when tecknology meets the outdoors
I like the part where she says “I’m a wild robot” and wild robots all over the place!
If u know u know 🦇
i’m so excited to see this movie
Me Too :-)
Y’all are saying you didn’t want the voices…but have you read the book? It seems like this movie is following the book pretty well so far
Im getting so much WALL-E vibes from this movie... This is definitely DreamWorks WALL-E on god.
Good 👍 ❤
Lol this was originally an book, personally nice.
Tarzan - but Robot, kinda
I like it!
I really hope we get a director cut of some sort without the voices :1 it being a movie about some silent robot just travelling around in nature would be a really fun watch.
Still gonna watch it when it comes out tho, lol.
I kinda wished the robot stayed silent and they did not make the animals talk, I just hope the movie will still be good
Well It looks good to me the silent would be interesting but this movie has hearth in it
Thought the machine would be silent but still want to watch this
They talked in the book.
So wild robot is like bastion from overwatch
