I love how detailed and well thought out your yarn critiques are. A nice balance if personal preference and technical analysis. Regardless if our opinions jive or differ, I enjoy the amount of effort and thought they are given. Keep up the great work.
Wow. Love that you sound like you're talking with me, a good friend, though we've never actually met. Easy. Clear. No hard sell. Up beat. Helpful. Makes me believe I could do it and I NEED most of this yarn!
@@HELENGodLoves that says it all doesn't it?!😂 it's true, you can never have enough yarn. All us girls need to get that in writing and signed by our boyfriends before we marry them!😁
Ok, I just gotta say, I found you when I first started crocheting a couple months ago, and I 100% trust your taste in yarn. You've never steered me wrong, and by god, I love tunisian crochet better than regular. I just wish I could order some now, but I'm moving, and don't know when! lol.
I'm working on a sweater made out of the Quarry color pattern and it's honestly my new favorite yarn. I'm going to have to snap up Wild Pansy the next time I'm in Jo-Ann's.
Can I just tell you how much I appreciate these reviews? I live in a rural area and the nearest Joann is 3 hours away. That means I can only get things online so I can’t check anything out before I buy it. These reviews are soooooo helpful, thank you so much!!
I tend to watch TH-cam pretty much all day as I carry on with everything else I do. It's the background noise of my life. I'm really about half-watching... or less. But I was completely absorbed in your reviews and completely stopped being productive. So, I had to take some time to tell you how fantastic and complete your reviews were. You showed and told me pretty much everything I needed/wanted to know about these yarns and you were completely engaging. Thanks for some real quality edu-tainment!
As a brand new crocheter. I would love to see a video from you where you dive in to what the different levels of yarn mean, what they are best used for making, etc. Also the different materials yarn is made from. Is more acrylic better for some projects than others? I know I can google this, but you are so good at describing things. I feel like I would get more from you, than reading.
Hi LizzLizz, I'm aware this has been awhile. Can I suggest you enrol in the #Crochet Academy. Toni is dealing with your requests in it. It started yesterday. Good Luck
Hey Tony, I would love to see a review of the most popular yarns from Knit Picks! I'm thinking Wool of the Andes, Palette, City Tweed (one of my ultimate fave yarns!), Stroll (another deliciously soft yarn), Dishie cotton, Hawthorne, etc. They also have some cool specialty yarns like Lindy Chain, Fable Fur, Wonderfluff, and Shine (cotton and modal).
Hi Toni -- So appreciate your yarn reviews!! So often you don't know whether to try a new yarn when there are no reviews out there for it! Your honesty and enthusiasm is so refreshing! Keep the reviews coming! Just bought your pattern for the Rochester Pullover and got some Lion Brand Heartland yarn as I didn't want any wool - too hot for me even in winter! Can't wait to start that, but need to wait for weather here (CT)to cool down a bit!! Thanks again!!
I just found your channel a week ago and now am going through your older videos. Thank you for doing these! I'm a knitter trying to figure out crochet and your info on some yarns don't work with your hook has helped give me hope instead of frustration! Lots of love!
I am loving that lion brand is stepping up their yarn game. I am in love with the replay yarn. I love a tencel yarn so much. I also in madly in love with the mandala cake yarn. I am ordering it to make it Into the veronica cardi
This is the most thorough, well-done yarn review I've ever seen! I LOVE that you try Tunisian as well as regular crochet. I can't wait to try the last 2!!
I love your reviews, would you mind to do one for hobbii yarns? It's an online shop based in the Denmark, but I know they ship to the US also (and it's a bit more easily available to us EU folks than lion brand or red heart)
I love love that you demo the work up on hooks💕 which is sooo important. Also, you recommend a hook choice with the yarn. You're the Best! We Love you Toni!
I've been binge watching your reviews, I really like your style, accent, critiques and production. I just wish we could get more of these yarns in the UK! C'mon Lion Brand! Share the love!
This is the second yarn review of yours I have viewed. I cannot tell you how fun and informative I find your reviews! You are a delight to listen to, obviously very experienced and knowledgeable both about yarns but all things crochet. Thank you for taking the time to share this info. I subscribed the very first time. I’ve already purchased some of the Mandala Watercolor yarn. Thank you!
Even if I didn't crochet, I would watch your channel just for your humorous delivery. But your recs are da bomb! Wouldn't have known about any of those yarns if not for you! Thanks!!
Your yarn reviews are THE BEST! You provide all the necessary facts about the yarn, show us how it works up, and give your straight forward opinion! You’ve definitely sold me on some of the yarns you’ve reviewed. THANK YOU 💜
Really enjoy your descriptive detail of the yarns color, texture and value. You are so entertaining. I am a new fan. You sparked up my yarn joy. Thank you Toni
I know this video came out two weeks ago but I keep re-watching it because I love your yarn/crochet product reviews so much. I get so excited whenever I see a new video from you. You are such an inspiration to me as a fairly new (but very passionate) crocheter, and you are so so talented.
Thank you so much for your advice. I am 23 and have taught myself to crochet from youtube and rely heavily on youtube creators for patterns/advice etc. THANK YOU !! ❤
I stumbled upon your videos and I'll echo what others have said: they are excellent. Not repetitive, very informational, and I love that you do a swatch that we can see. I mostly knit, but I do also crochet. I especially enjoy Tunisian crochet, so thank you for displaying that stitch. Currently trying to work through my ridiculous stash, but I just may have to try one of these!!
Idk why it took me so long to stumble across this channel but damn I’m hooked. Your voice is pleasant to listen to without making me fall asleep, the video was informative and funny. Definitely going to watch all your other videos now 😀
I think you are the only TH-cam I've subscribe to after watching only one video. I like how you describe the yarns and make it so easy to understand what you are saying about them! I'm trying not to let my stash get out of hand, so watching reviews like this is going to really help me reign-in my impulse buying next time I go looking for some more yarns
I started crocheting a few weeks ago and your channel has been so helpful! I love your yarn reviews because they give such a clear explanation not only of the pros and cons of the yarns but also what drives your preferences and what may make others prefer yarns you’re not so into.
Thank you Thank you! You have put the spark in crocheting again. I’ve crocheted since I was young and got burned out but looking at these yarns and colors Wow. Love the last two yarn choices. Can’t wait to buy these yarns and crochet. Also got the lazy Susan yarn holder! 🙃
Another terrific review! This woman is able to keep me watching through the whole thing, and she explains her opinions clearly. Just when I thought I could stop buying more yarn....
Your yarn review is the best I've seen on YT. I love Lion Brand yarns but hesitate to buy new varieties in case I don't like one. But your commentary along with your swatch is so helpful. You totally sold me on Mandala Watercolors.
I looooooove your yarn reviews!!! 😍🤣😂 your honestly is a breath of fresh air. I am BY NO MEANS a yarn snob. But your reviews really help me with what to look for when im yarn shopping. Thank you sooo much!! And i cant wait to see your smaller accessory patterns!!!
I love how thorough you are in the way you critique the yarn. Even the “negative” aspects of the yarn can be a positive to some people and you mention that as well. I love both tunesian crochet pieces you did in this video. I need that mandala yarn in my life. It screams dress to me
Oh, but remember, Joann always has coupons like 40 and 50% off the regular price or 20-25% off the total price. And Lion Brand has great coupons too on their website once you sign up like 25-35% off total order. I just grabbed Truboo yarn (100% bamboo yarn with a sheen!) to make the Sweetpea Top on Lion Brand for 25% off just for spinning the wheel to get a discount code. So, never pay full price. Thank Toni for the yarn reviews. Can't wait to shop again for my next project.
Once again LionBrand has more colors for watercolors. Thanks for the review Toni. My favorite is the confetti cotton. I want to make a summer wrap and a baby blanket.
I love your videos so much. You speak clearly and on point. I can see everything you're doing perfectly and love how you show us the stitches. I have to say I really wanted to see what you had to say about mandala watercolors. I recently made a blanket in moss stitch and I was blown away by it. The stitch definition was wonderful, its so soft, fluffy, and the transitions of colors are wonderful. It is a gift yet still hanging out in my house because I love looking at it. I was glad to see you gave it 10. :)
Thank you. I love your introductions to new yarn, and I use them when trying new yarns. Your opinions are a great help when deciding how to spend my yarn allowance.
Your videos are so helpful! Your reviews help me when shopping so I don’t waste time or money! I discovered that I’m also a yarn snob! You’re an inspiration to us all!!
Wow Mandala is beautiful. Watching back through these review views now that I’ve had experience with various types of yarn and can recognize these in stores. So glad you have done so many of these!!! Also, two 10/10 hook ratings in one video!!!?! Wowza! 🤯
Love your detailed reviews! Thanks for the tip on how to avoid color-pooling. Also, seeing the visual comparison of the one of the yarns to a similar one from another brand was helpful. Glad I found your channel!
I love love love that you review the plant babies! I love crocheting and spinning in cellulose fibers and they don't get a lot of love but are so soft with more work and wear plus, the stitch definition sends me to the moon! I'm still hunting for a new cotton brand and your reviews help me narrow my search. I'm indecisive and driving myself nuts. Thanks!
Thank you for sharing the information about each new yarn. My favorite is the Mandela Water Color. Excellent reviews of all the new yarns that are now available at Joann’s.
I have the mandala, reline, im gonna purchase the Pima cotton soon. I have the date nights as well. For a beginner to doing crochet. I sure have taste...lol...so glad to be in this craft. Keep up the good work yarn snob...lol..
I just found you today, and I’m loving your videos... You’re upbeat, make me chuckle a little and I absolutely love your yarn reviews- watched 3 in a row! Thank you for doing them, and sharing comparisons of different yarns.
Hi Toni, just found your channel recently. I've watched a few yarn reviews now and I can't believe how much I'm learning about yarn, thank you!! I'd definitely love hearing more about what kinds of projects would work well with the characteristics of each yarn.
Being new to the crochet world ( self taught in FEBRUARY ) I love love love the Manadla!!! I hate that I only have two hands. Lol I appreciate your reviews. So far I have only used two different brands of yarn...you have opened up so many possibilities for me!!! Thank You😉☺
Thank you for showing the yarns and working samples. I personally will try all of them. Especially the comfy cotton fetti, the watercolors, and the date night. The date night would be nice to doing edging with just to make pieces stand out a little. Thank you again and Happy crochet month.
So glad you love the mandala watercolor. I bought it on sale last summer and made a project and fell in love. I just pulled it out this evening to work on a clutch and I've fallen in love all over again.
LOVE your reviews! So helpful because I don’t know much about yarn and get most of mine on mine. I have to say that the Watercolors really got my attention and next in line was the RePlay. Pima and Confetti fall next in line for me. The others, not much interest. Definitely want to try Watercolors!! THANK YOU for such great, in-depth, straight to the point, and honest reviews! I can almost feel the yarn as you describe it! Very well done! Hope you never stop doing these reviews!
Gotta say I am loving the variety of cotton and cotton blends. I live in Arizona and don't get much call for the warmth of wool. Completely enjoy your critique and you have inspired me to try Tunisian crochet!! My current favorite cake yarn is Twister or Twister solid from Hobbii. I just love the feel of it! Thanks Toni!!
This makes me want to get my hands on some of that comfy cotton fetti so much. The color pooling you mentioned looks like it would be lovely based on what you showed here.
Based on your judgement, bought 5 skeins of Lion Brand Pima Cotton for an intarsia baby blanket. Thank you sooooooooooooooo much!!!! I LOVE knitting and crocheting baby blankets for the hospitals. Doing the needlework is a joy, auditioning the yarn is tedious, $$$$ and a pain in the hinny. I can't tell you how grateful I am to have you doing the reviewing. You do the WORK, I do the fun part :-) Time to buy you SEVERAL cups of coffee!!!!
I'm SUCH a fiber nerd, I could talk about and learn about different fibers ALL DAY (I appreciate you talking a little bit about the fibers 😍🙌🏻)! Textiles was my fave class and is now the reason for my obsession with wool (and sustainable fibers)
Great review Toni, wow, I have to agree with you colorwise that the Mandala Watercolors are beautiful and I can't wait to see what you come up with with Tunisian Crochet. I did love the Twisted Cotton too and the tape yarn (I think it was the Re-Play...I'm in love with that yellow and that Tunisian swatch you did. Thanks for your fun and thorough review.
Screwd the pooch made me die laughing!!!!🤣🤣🤣🤣💕 I can totally relate to the moniker of "Yarn Snob". Your Summertime Tank pattern would be cute in the the funfetti yarn. I'm making it with Comfy Cotton in Poppy. I might try the Pima Cotton for your Summertime Tee in mineral yellow or spice. The watercolours pallet is gorgeous. Thank you for your honest, clear and insightful reviews. It helps when buying yarn on line to know how it looks, feel and handles on the hook.
I love your yarn reviews. I always find them so helpful and its made try Lion Brand yarns again. Watercolor and Comfy Cotton-fetti are definitely my favorites.
Thank you for the yarn review it helps so much! Bag-o-day did a yarn review on Pima Cotton and she said it didn’t wash and dry very well but she loved working with it. She suggested hand washing and laying flat to dry! Love the Confetti Cotton yarn and was excited to see you gave it high marks! Enjoyed so much and do more yarn reviews!
Credit to Lion, they're one of the few big box brands that really make an effort to do something different. I really enjoy the variety in their range!
I love how detailed and well thought out your yarn critiques are. A nice balance if personal preference and technical analysis. Regardless if our opinions jive or differ, I enjoy the amount of effort and thought they are given. Keep up the great work.
Agreed. Very professional, yet personal presentation. I love her voice also. So soothing.
Wow. Love that you sound like you're talking with me, a good friend, though we've never actually met. Easy. Clear. No hard sell. Up beat. Helpful. Makes me believe I could do it and I NEED most of this yarn!
Thank you, this is great to see the the yarn
OMG STAAAAHHHHP making me buy things, lol! 😂 If you don't already get sponsorships, somebody at Lion Brand better sit up and take notice.
LOL! Agreed. If I buy another skein before I finish more projects, my hubby will whelp a kangaroo. :)
Tell me about it !!! LOL - every time I see one of her reviews, something falls into an online cart somewhere :) Love her!
She does get sponsored! Now she does at least, but honestly same. My crochet coin purse hurts. That was a bad attempt at replacing “my wallet hurts”.
The "STAAAAHHHHP"... LOL
@@HELENGodLoves that says it all doesn't it?!😂 it's true, you can never have enough yarn. All us girls need to get that in writing and signed by our boyfriends before we marry them!😁

The Mandla Watercolor is my favorite yarn. I been having my eye on the pink one.
I just purchased 3 cakes of skyway and its beautiful. Also, the Mandala ombre in Mantra. Lovely.
I'm working on a sweater made out of the Quarry color pattern and it's honestly my new favorite yarn. I'm going to have to snap up Wild Pansy the next time I'm in Jo-Ann's.

I literally paused the video to go pick up comfy cotton-fetti
I honestly never imagined I would become addicted to watching yarn reviews and I’ve been crocheting for over 30 years lol.
I’m so happy you tube recommended this video. Your review style is fantastic. Loved watching and listening! Subscribed! Thank you!
Toni, those deep jewel tones for the Date Night are on Lion Brand’s web site. I love your reviews. Keep em’ coming!
what a fantastic teacher you are! I loved the foundation crochet tip. I've never used it before, but now I'm in love! Thanks so much -
That Mandala water colors is the yarn of my DREAMS! WHERE HAS IT BEEN ALL MY LIFE!?!?!
Ghost Mochi somewhere that u didn’t see
I love the yarn spinner. Do you ever talk about it, stitches, and needles?
I have a yarn spinner like that. I got it from Amazon. Mine is a Chiao Goo product. I love it and bought one for my daughter also.
I tend to watch TH-cam pretty much all day as I carry on with everything else I do. It's the background noise of my life. I'm really about half-watching... or less. I crochet, and also knit. I’m excited to try the Cotton Fetti knit up, to see what the colors do. Beautiful for baby blankets!
Toni! I just found you today and can’t wait to watch all you have!!! You are absolutely a wonderful girl!!
OMG that last swatch with the Mandala watercolors is drop dead gorgeous!
Wow I wasn’t really into the mandala water colors until I saw the swatch you made. It’s beautiful! Thank you for testing these.
That Mandala Watercolor is calling to me! I love your honest reviews, keep them coming!
Please do another one of these videos sometime! I love them so much and I keep watching and rewatching them!
