Hey, everyone. I’m really sorry about the audio. We have a neighbor who has been loud as of late so I wanted to wear a lavalier as a backup to our main mic on a separate track. Since we normally don’t do this, I think we likely got confused and exported both audio tracks which has resulted in this hollow/tinny sound with phasing that is frustratingly imperfect. We exported at 2AM and I finished uploading metadata and thumbnail stuff at 3AM. I should have done my due diligence and checked the track before setting to publish, but I didn’t. I apologize and it won’t happen again. Maybe this is one to watch through the speakers of your old iPad Air. Thanks.

I like how almost everyone is crying about the performance of the A14 is regards to the first Apple Silicon Mac. The A14 might be the basis for the first ARM based Mac but that doesn't mean it will be using the same exact chip as the new iPad Air does. For one thing the new Arm Mac be it either a laptop or desktop will have far greater cooling capacity than the iPad Air. That means everything on the A14 can be cranked up in terms of frequency. It also means the the chip used in the first ARM Mac might also have more CPU and or GPU cores because size and heat considerations are no longer a driving factor.

The 12Z in the Pro is still more powerful than the base A14. The A12 is much less powerful than the X/Z variant. We can only expect the Mac/Pro variants of the A14 to be quite a bit more powerful.

Li-ion batteries have a happy zone, which is 80-20%. AirPods stay at 100% for most of the time which batteries hate! That degrades them quicker and overtime, their voltage will drop, and thats why they die at 30%+ sometimes! If apple just had an option to only charge to 90% and sit there, it would greatly improve the longevity of the airpods!

Harsimran Bansal where they set 100% is arbitrary, though. After all the % we read is because it’s easier to convey this value to a human rather than saying that “it’s at X voltage now” For all we know they could have capped it at something healthy already.
Regardless, batteries die. But making them replaceable in this case would mean bulk in a product whose main aim is to not be bulky. I think easily recycleable is a better goal.

This refresh of the iPad’s also explain the reason as to why apple decided to release the 2017 iPad in 2019 with the same A10 bionic because with the release of iPad Air 3 powered by A12 in early March they just wanted to segment their iPad lineup into 3 parts after the reintroduction of the Air series. If see this new refresh of iPad 2020 it is identical to the iPad Air 3 with the same A12 just with a discount of 170 bucks. My experience of battery life on the watch 5 has been good. I leave the display set to always on and use it to check messages, emails throughout the day. When it goes on charge at night it rarely has less than 60% battery life left - much better than I was expecting. I've been using it since early 2020. Love it. I'm nothing to do with Apple by the way and only recently moved over from Andriod.

never actually tried turning my series 5 display off to save power but generally dont use much besides weather or occasional media control and looking at a message and i have had no issue with battery. usually lasts all day which is fine as i dont like sleeping with it. i woke up at 5AM and im at 38% while writing this at 8:30PM so 15.5 hours of usage and 38% battery left so 4-5% per hour of usage.

The iPad Pro still has a lot of extra features over the air: 120hz, more/better cameras, lidar, flash, more speakers, Face ID, brighter screen, more storage, etc. They priced the air reasonably considering.

Well, while I do agree most watch faces are either too busy or simplistic like you say, the infograph modular is really the perfect balance of fitting a number of useful items, including one large item (or complication?...not sure what it's called exactly) such as the weather in the middle. I've been using that one since day 1 with the first apple watch, and when we got the larger screens/smaller bezels, you could fit more items, and they're still very easy to see at a glance and/or quick launch with a tap.

@@bradhaines3142 I don’t think charging a watch every other day is that egregious. I’m already charging my phone every night, adding a watch to that ritual isn’t the end of the world for me or anyone else I know with an Apple Watch. I’d love week-long battery, of course, but I don’t often get exactly what I want.

I was on the edge to get the 2020 iPad Pro 11", after yesterday decided to go with the Air 4, has all the things I need, and it will be a pretty amazing upgrade from the 2019 iPad for me. Just the Apple Pencil 2 and the laminated screen with light blocking coating are pretty big for me. Will also love the stereo speakers when watching a TV Show/Movie whilst cooking or dong something that doesn't require 100% focus. I don't care much about the extra 2GB of RAM the 2020 Pro has, or the 120 Hz scree, I use the iPad for art mostly, drawing on Procreate, Affinity Designer so not really needed for my use tbh.

I use iPhones, macs, and ipads when it comes to apple, but for watches I use Garmin. Tracks all my workouts, great looking watch, long 7-14 day battery life with always on display, and some of the newer ones like the Fenix 6 have o2 sensors as well. The watch faces can show my steps, heart rate, date, time etc. all at once. I don't need to click into an app just to measure my heart rate or vie w my steps

I like fingerprint identification better than facial identification. Mainly because on my phone i can unlock it the moment that i grab the phone in my hand rather than doing the routine where i point it at my face and allow it to unlock. It seems like a very minor concern but when you're unlocking your phone between 20 and 30 times a day, it feels a lot more convenient.

Still rocking my S4 Apple Watch, and I love it. One thing that would be great would be if they would let developers create and sell watch faces. They need a Watch Face Store. I'm always rocking Infograph Modular because I like having a collection of info, but I wish I could customize it a little further.

I have the Always-On display turned off not because of battery drain, but because the transition from not-fully-on to actually-on is annoying and you often tap, expect something to happen and it doesn't, whereas with the feature disabled there's no confusion as to how the watch will (or won't) react. Wish I'd never bothered moving from Series 3.
