Thank you for making this! I will be applying to this exact program and it so helpful for me to see an example of a strong admission essay. I also don’t have a background in architecture for my undergraduate and this helps my understand how I can still use my non experience and relate it in a way that can still showcase my perspective and appreciation for it.

Hi Lauren, do you think it is a good idea to bring up the pandemic and how I found ways to further develop my skills this year in the field I am applying for in my SOP? I've had some mixed opinions about it! Please share what you think.
Talk to the admissions staff. They will give you details on what to include in a portfolio. When you don't have architecture experience, generally you will include various kinds of design/artwork. That can be graphic design, drawings, etc.

If it's relevant to making a strong case for you to succeed in the program. If it's just filler info that isn't strong, leave it out.
