I’m definitely a Screwback Square fan and was blown away by the titanium offerings and the current DW-5040PG so much that I not only went back for the Glacier Gold but also this watch. The Anniversary models are solid and really worth it. People spend a lot more on things that aren’t even half as well-made as these Squares.

Does anyone have or have found a source for the DW-5035/35th Anniversary for closer to the $300 range? I'm seeing some go for upwards of $500. I may be looking in the wrong places. Thanks.

I'm quite tempted by this as it has a steel case and screw in caseback, but then there's the GW 5000 which also has solar and atomic time, and the metal squares with Bluetooth and better screen. First world problems! Are there any issues with pressing the buttons in the gold anniversary edition? Does the gold version have the same resin case and strap as the GW 5000?

After watching this video I bought the 30th anniversary one brand new for $150.00 on ebay and I got the 35th anniversary one on Amazon for $190.00. I see Casio made 3 different 35th anniversary G-Shocks. 1. the DW-5735D , DW-5035D and the GF-8235D. I noticed only the DW-5035D doesn't have the gold display. I wonder why casio did this. I might buy the DW-5735D just because I like the gold display. There on Amazon for $200.00

Price seems to be REALLY down on the dw5035. Im seeing $185 right now on Amazon with no tax or shipping. It seems like a similar watch to the GW-5000. Is there any reason the dw5035 should be so much lower?

where are the 35 year old g shocks. All in the bin long ago. I wear a 1939 Russian military mechanical watch everyday. That's 80 years old. No batteries. No waste. All metal.
what matters is what it is worth to you. i have some more expensive watches but i honestly like my gshock square the most because of its toughness and features i would rather have a fun 200$ Gshock that i can wear everyday and everywhere i go instead of having a 10000$ rolex that i would probably never wear in fear of damaging it.
there is nothing cheap about the higher end g shocks dude they are very well made with top end components, they are over priced for what they are though

I preder the DW5030c. Love the color and the sharpness of the display is top notch.

Is this model smaller as the 5610 or is it bigger? I would like to know which watch has the smallest footprint?
The carbon fiber banded square always felt smallest to me. I forget the number. Most of the screw case backs are gonna have some heft but wear nice.
Should I get the DW-5035d or the 5610? The difference is 100$, but I like the display of the 5610 more?

I got one recently, but with a golden bracelet and bezel. Looks almsost like B5000-TFG, but the sunburst effect on the display makes it more unique :)

G-shocks were never designed to reduce waste or last 80 years, it's in the name bud: G-Shock. Shock resistance.

In natural sun light it does have little gold tone to it, more subtle then others but it’s there.
